8. Changes

"Put him over there"

I nodded to the man as i along with a few men carried a man who was found under the debris of one of the buildings with a rebar struck in his body attached to a heavy concrete block.

"Thank you, Thank you"

The wife of the man bowed to us as the doctors started to treat the man. I just nodded and left the hospital,

*yawn*

No matter how pathetic i am i can't just leave a person dying where everyone is busy helping others. The whole night i kept helping people who were injured with others thankfully the monster stampede won't happen for a month, so i was safe yesterday.

I walked out of the hospital and went to the public camps which police put up for the people. I walked to the empty water containers that were placed and drank water while looking at the city which was now turned into ruins with people still carrying injured people and police guiding them.

I looked over the huge red black tower which is also called the Tower of Satan, the demon of anger and thought of the future.

"Excuse me"

I was brought back to reality by a melodious voice,

"Yes?"

I looked behind and saw a beautiful girl in a police uniform looking up to me.

"Can I get some water"

"Oh yes sure go ahead"

I moved sideways and threw the disposal cups in the trash bin.

"So did you have any contact with outside?"

"Huh?"

After she finished drinking i asked her which got her by surprise.

"Uh Y-yes we did, the higher ups have sent army and foods for the people of the city, you all don't have to be afraid the situation is now under our control and you can rest assure"

"Aah"

As she finished speaking a building at the back of her fall and a man got under it.

"Really?"

"Ugh yes excuse me, my colleagues are waiting for me"

I didn't embarrass her more and let her go. It was all a lie that she spoke off, because of the merging of the world and its expansion, the communications of the whole world are destroyed, be it wired or wireless none are left, the satellites in the space all got under the effect of the new gravity and crashed in the cities nearby, the whole world changed and the bodies of all living beings got strengthen and so does the properties of non living making them able to survive and deceiving them in believing that everything is just same as before.

Due to the world merger the towers that appeared also appeared in cities of different worlds but thankfully i was in this city as i don't want to go to a city where situations of zombie apocalypse or ice age are going on.

"It changed"

Suddenly a shout came from behind me and everyone looked at the man who shouted with weird expressions.

"It changed, the status changed"

As the man shouted and many looked at him in confusion but the awakeners changed their expressions and opened their own statuses.

I too called out my status.
