LEVEL EVERYTHING UP in my Eldritch Tribe

Lafran was reborn into an Eldritch tamer tribe in the distant future, where Earth had been thrown into a mysterious eldritch galaxy for unknown reason. This event changed every living thing, filling them with strange Eldren mana and causing society to fall apart. Fourteen years later, Lafran was about to become a teenager and soon would have to take on dangerous tasks in his tribe. His tribe was controlled by a small government that secretly used his tribal members for target practice to train their supernatural soldiers. But Lafran had a unique way to level up that didn't involve life-threatening situations. He just had to complete specific tasks. One day, while feeding his favorite female goat, a message popped up: [ Ding! [ You have chosen the little doeling to level up! ] Lafran's leveling journey started with simple tasks: [ Ding! ] [ You have chosen to level up knife slash! As a Wildling of your tribe, you can level up your knife slash. [ Condition: Slash the knife 500 times. [ You have chosen a random tree to level up! The tree is a part of your tribe; you can level it up. [ Condition: Water the tree 300 times. ] [ You cannot level up anymore due to limited rank within the tribe, raise your rank first inside the clan. ] [ Condition: Give an honor to the tribe. ] As Lafran completed these tasks, he realized that the real challenge was dealing with the dangerous and complicated life in his tribe and the world around him.

Lafran had always known he was close to leveling up as a Stage two physical Wildling. After all, he had trained his body to the limit all his life. But right now, his focus was on his Eldren Passive Ability that was written in the profile. He even ignored the position and title, going straight to check his Eldren Passive Ability.

The description read—Eldren Passive Ability:

---

Touch, see, experience, and imagine everything or anything in the tribe, and you would be able to level it all up.

---

Lafran was shocked.

His power was this?

Not his goat Corora?

What the hell?

Isn't this overpowered?

He could basically level up anything in the tribe?

His head began to think of any possibilities that he could do.

If he could level up everything in the tribe, the potential was limitless. He could enhance the strength of the warriors, increase the productivity of the farmers, improve the health of the elders, and even speed up Corora's recovery.

He could make their tribe the strongest, the most advanced.

A tribe that no one would dare to threaten.

As he considered these possibilities, another notification appeared:

---

Ability status: Active.

Target to level up: Lafran Gordak' Herb

Mission to level up:

To reach level three, the target must kill or exercise and gain experience.

Experience points: 12/40.

---

Lafran would look at his hands; it was like every fiber of his body was singing to his ears of his power of leveling, and he could do anything.

"This is my real power, huh? Can I level up infinitely though? How do I trigger it?" he said, very excited.

In this new Earth, he decided he would try to get as strong as he could.

He knew he would obtain anything if he just properly used his powers.

Suddenly, his daydream was interrupted by the sound of another Eldren Splurge trying to get inside. However, instead of dread, a confident smile formed on his lips.

"Haha!"

His body was still exhausted from earlier, but he knew he could handle this.

Lafran stood tall, gripping his knife with promised strength that he would gain if he eliminated another of this creature.

The slime started seeping through the gap again, but this time, he wasn't afraid. He moved with greed—striking the creature with all his might! Although each of his strikes were not that deliberate, some were still effective.

The Eldren Splurge writhed and screeched as Lafran's knife cut through its gelatinous form.

Kiiiiiiiccchh!

Because of his weariness from the earlier clash against the first one he killed, even though his level went up, Lafran's movements were slower, and the Eldren Splurge managed to graze him with its acidic tendrils.

Kascharrssshh.

The burning sensation shot through his arm like molten lava, and he bit back a scream, his teeth clenched so hard it felt like they might shatter.

"Aaarrg–!!!"

With a swift, desperate motion, Lafran aimed for the heart of the Eldren Splurge. His tired muscles protested with each swing of the knife, feeling as if they were tearing apart from the inside.

He fought through the pain, his vision blurring from the effort.

The slime's movements became erratic, its attempts to lash out at Lafran growing feeble and desperate.

The Eldren Splurge managed to land another blow, this time on Lafran's leg.

The acidic touch seared his skin, sending a wave of agony that nearly buckled his knees. He let out a guttural cry, staggering backward. His leg felt like it was on fire, each step was like a fresh hellfire. He stumbled but regained his footing with sheer force of will, every nerve in his body screaming in protest.

Finally, with one last, labored thrust, Lafran delivered the fatal blow.

The Eldren Splurge let out a final, piercing screech before collapsing into a shapeless mass on the cave floor. Its form dissolved into a dark puddle, leaving behind a faint, acrid smell in the air.

Lafran fell to his knees, gasping for breath as if his whole body trembling from the exertion and pain.

Breathing heavily, he leaned against the cave wall, his arm and leg throbbing with pain.

Despite his exhaustion and injuries, a sense of accomplishment that felt like cold water splashes through his injuries. Yet as he remembered, his wounds suddenly burned and ached as if each pulse of pain felt like it was telling him this is reality.

Gritting his teeth, Lafran checked his experience points on the system screen, watching them climb steadily:

[ 36/40 ]

"Almost at level three," he muttered to himself.

Despite the burning pain in his skin from the two Eldren Splurge slimes, he steeled himself for more. "The one I took down was big; I'll go for smaller ones this time, and I'll drive the bigger one," he reasoned aloud, scanning the gap in the stone to check if there were incoming creatures.

His aim was clear: reach level five to use mana for stronger attacks and never worry about stamina again, thanks to the refresh with each level-up.

Confidence filled Lafran as he pictured his strategy unfolding.

Glancing nervously at the narrow stone gap shielding him from Splurge Slimes outside, he swallowed hard.

Every few seconds, he could feel a drum beat on his chest. Suddenly a creature tried to breach his sanctuary that was sending a shiver down his spine. While the burns on his body throbbed with renewed pain from previous attacks.

Yet, by luck, the slimes hadn't broken through.

"Phew!"

Lafran heaved a sigh of relief.

He immediately closed his eyes briefly but stayed alert, he just needed a quick break to rest.

After a few seconds, he reopened them, ready to act. He moved and widened the gap in the stone a bit.

Immediately, a Sludge Slime slipped through, its tentacles reaching out.

Lafran jabbed his dagger into one tentacle, causing the slime to recoil in pain and get back. "Close one," he muttered.

When a smaller slime entered, he let it through and then sealed the gap, after that, he went on and swiftly killed it after a few strikes.

This pattern repeated again and again and again, each encounter was tense and quick.

I should've done this earlier," he commented, but adrenaline and pressure were unpredictable. "It's like boxing," he thought. "I thought I could punch without training, but when I trained with people and instructors, I really can't." That's why he didn't discover this method when he first sealed the small cave

Then, after a long time doing that method until he reached the final stage of his targeted stage, a sound rang out.

[ Ding!

[ Lafran Gordak' Herb reached level five! ]

Relief rushed over Lafran's chest as he felt a surge of energy coursing through it.

Soon, a light brown aura spread over his body like a small aurora.

Another message appeared on the screen:

[ Alfren could now use Eldren Mana. ]

Seeing this, he almost jumped on where he was standing.

"I'm as strong as the warriors and hunters in my tribe, almost like my father, I am not confident in my ability," he whispered to himself, amazed at his rapid progress. It had taken him nearly two years to reach the second stage of Wildling, yet in one night today, he had reached stage five.

It was hard to believe.

Feeling empowered, Lafran stood taller, he wanted to try this thing whatever it is. But then, immediately, a nagging realization struck him in the head like a hard sharp stone above his cave dwelling.

"I don't know how to channel mana and turn it into Eldren energy to strengthen my attacks... How am I supposed to use this if I don't know?" he incredulously muttered to himself.

In his tribe, young Wildlings like him received scrolls from the shamans upon awakening their Eldren force or energy, detailing methods to control and channel it efficiently.

Without such knowledge, his recently acquired abilities felt out of reach.

Suddenly, another message flashed on the screen:

[ Ding!

[ Eldren Passive Choice became two. Lafran can now choose two targets every twenty-four hours. ]

The implication hit him like a shockwave.

"Two?" Lafran exclaimed incredulously, trying to process the significance of this development.

As he pondered his next move, he stared at his hands intently. Then, unexpectedly, another message popped up:

[ Ding!

[ Would you like to level up Eldren mana control?

[ Current Choice 1 / 2 ]

However, as Lafran thought of this, a splurge tried to get inside and then, immediately, he killed it first after struggling for a few seconds.

But then, the message extended.

[ Ding!

[ Would you like to level up Slime Knife Pierce skill?

[ Current Choice 1 / 2 ]

And another one.

[ Ding!

[ Would you like to level up Danger Sense passive skill?

[ Current Choice 1 / 2 ]
