Chapter 62

No one was ready to break the silence that was killing everyone slowly because it was caused by Ryan. After a while, Ryan himself spoke up breaking his own silence.

"Why do I feel like the room is so tense?", he asked no one in particular.

"Well, I think you know the answer to that ", I spoke first. I didn't know whether they always kept quiet because of Ryan's domineering nature but that never affected me so I was always first to answer Ryan's questions.

"Then I think I have to solve that. How about to play a game?", he said enlightening the mood.

"Great", Jennie exclaimed. She just likes to behave childish sometimes so I didn't mind her when she did that.

"And what time of game are we going for?", Keenan finally asked.

"I don't know but why don't we try playing hide and seek?", Ryan asked making us look at him amazingly.

"Play hide and seek? Where?",it was Ryder's turn to ask the question.

"Where else apart from my beautiful mansion"

"Huh?", we all asked simultaneously.

"Chill guys, there's no restricted room here. And besides don't you think this place is big enough to get one lost?", he smirked. Indeed the house was big but it didn't feel right to have the game there.

"Ok. I agree", Jennie would never disagree with anything when it comes to games.

"I agree too", her lover boy joined her since he didn't want them to be rivals in it. Now it was left with Keenan, Reuben and I to agree or disagree. Everyone seemed to be lost in thoughts when Reuben spoke.

"I need to go home", he said getting up from his position.

"Oh no you can't , we have to celebrate our new bond", Ryan said sounding sarcastic.

"Just let him be Ryan, you don't have to force him when it comes to certain decisions ", I spoke up for Reuben thinking he would be grateful but that was in my wildest dreams.

"But…"

"Ryan, just let him be", I cut him off before he could even speak his mind. Ryan felt he had been disobeyed but he calmed down before speaking to Reuben.

"You can leave but don't forget what happened today". Reuben left the hall after he was granted permission to leave. We later focused on what we were going to do.

"Fine, let's do it", Keenan finally gave his consent meaning even if I said no, the game would still go on and I wasn't ready to be left out so I had to agree too.

"But before we start, I have to make some rules", Keenan started getting our attention." Since we are five, one person would have to stay back and analyze the situation so I'd be that person", he added making us frown at how silly he wanted to be.

"What are you saying? If one person will be out then that would be me.", I spoke before thinking. They all looked at me as if they had not seen me before making me swallow a lump in my throat.

"You can't be serious both of you. Keenan you can stay back if you want, I'd be with Ash", Ryan interrupted.

"No, I'd be with Ash then you will be with Jennie ", Ryder jumped in for no reason.

'Isn't he supposed be pairing up with Jennie?', I thought. I turned to look at the reaction on Jennie's face but she looked calm so I didn't have any objections with the arrangement.

"Fine. Can we start now?", Keenan asked getting nods from all of us. Ryder and I were asked to go first which we did before Ryan and Jennie followed.

Ryder and I hide in Ryan's closet in his room quietly to avoid being caught. Ryan came in and search the room before going out without checking the closet. We came out of the closet and followed him closely without making any sound. It seemed he asked Jennie to search a different room so they could find us because he was walking alone. Before we could realize , Jennie was behind us. We really had a very fun time before deciding to have some rest.

Keenan asked us to go home and that we had to study for the test.

"Come Keenan, you really are a fun spoiler. Can't we enjoy for today?", Jennie complained making us laugh at her reaction.

"You have had enough fun, it's time to go home", Keenan wasn't ready to give in to Jennie's request so we had to disperse to our homes.

Jennie and I said our goodbyes before leaving the guys on their own.
