Chapter 50

I didn't plan for such a coincidence but since it happened, I had to take advantage of it to get what I've always wanted.

"What I mean is, you don't talk unless I ask you to?", I answered.

"You don't mean it, I am your class president in case you have forgotten ", Keenan retorted.

"Well, as far as I know, this is my house and not your class so my rule stands ", I said rendering him speechless.

"What do you want", Ryan who has been quiet the whole time finally asked and I was fast enough to give him the answer he deserved.

"Reconciliation ", I said with crossed arms.

"No way", they said in unison startling me.

"Wow, isn't this amazing. Did you realize what just happened? You guys have the same mind.", I teased.

"We are here for studies and not some dumb reasons", coming out from Keenan.

"Keenan now listen to me, whatever happened in the past shouldn't still cause problems for both of you now"

"Says someone who isn't ready to let go of what happened to her in her past", Keenan retorted. I really didn't see that coming. My emotions got damaged hearing him say that to my face but what else could I have done. He was indeed speaking the truth but it's not my fault it keeps haunting me. I didn't know my emotions was all over my face while I was deep in thought.

"Why did you have to say that to her?", I heard Ryan's voice but I wasn't in the mood to speak out.

"I'm sorry Ash, I didn't mean to", Keenan apologized. I wonder how many times he had apologized on that day.

"You know she is traumatized but you just had to say that to her without thinking about it? Can't you see she's trying her best to fight by just sitting with us here alone?", Ryan sounded pissed.

"Will you shut the f**k up Ryan. You have hurt her more than I have yet you want to be the good guy here"

"So you are trying to compare yourself to me? She took you as a friend not me, get that into you dumb skull "

"How did you just address me?", now the situation was getting critical that I had to step in.

"Do I need to repeat myself for you to be able to hear?", Ryan was now up on his feet with Keenan joining him.

"Would you both stop this?", I finally found my voice to speak.

"Stay out of this Ash", Ryan warned but that wouldn't stop me. Before I could realize, they had started hitting each other's chests starting a fight. Ryan threw his bag at Keenan making his books spill in the room but that didn't stop them.

"Stop it both of you", yelling on top of my lungs, the room got calm.

"Good, now sit", came another command from me.

"What wrong with both of you? Are you kids to be fighting over trivial issues?. Now is either you listen to me both of you or you get out without seeing me as a….a friend anymore", I said waiting for their next move but there both sat down shooting deadly looks. " I suppose you have both agreed to listen me ".

"Sorry for what I said earlier ", Keenan apologized.

"I'm okay with that, let's get to business. Shall we?", I asked not expecting an answer anyways but they nodded.

"Concerning the so called rape case that happened between your circle of friendship, I decided to hold a secret investigation and this was what I got", I said bringing out a paper from my pocket to read my analysis to them.

"Juan, wasn't raped by Ryan or should I say, she was never raped by anyone. She just wanted to free herself from you so she decided to use your friendship with Ryan ", I ended my speech. The looks I got from both sides was just enough to strangle me but I cared less.

"You can't tell me that story Ash, I trust Juan. She would never lie to me", Keenan said furiously.

"But you never trusted me huh? We have been friends even before Juan came into the picture but you trusted her than me", Ryan sounded heartbroken.

"I told you no one could speak unless I ask you to", said madam of the meeting. "Keenan, where were you when the supposed incident happened "

"In my room", he simply answered.

"And you , Ryan?", directing the same question to him.

"With Keenan….in his room"

"So according to my analysis, if Juan was indeed raped, then it was done by both of you. If not so, the you can't accuse Ryan so blindly.", I smiled at myself internally for having such a nice conclusion. At the end of my sentence, they both looked at each other shocked and confused.

"Juan framed Ryan? Is .. is that what you are saying?"

"That's not what I'm saying, rather that's the truth ", I answered.

Regrets filled in his eyes, he wasn't able to raise his eyes to meet Ryan's or mine. He took his bag and stood up to leave. When he got to the door, he turned to look back at us and muttered "I'm sorry", before walking out. We saw the two lovebirds were eavesdropping when Keenan walked out but that was not our concern.
