MY WORLD - The girl who grew wings

Eden stumbles carousingly into the classroom, wearing a convulsing grin beneath the black bangs covering his eyes. Accustomed to, yet alert to the strangeness in Eden’s recent behaviour, heads of his classmates turn towards the door and spit out some light-hearted remarks but not much more before they resume whatever conversation they were a part of. With only the one shoe on, he pulls his feet with sagging steps across the room to his seat and lolls into the chair so that it tilts over, rocking like a fun ride until it lands on its four feet with a thump. Abel crooks his head with a mild smile.
