"So shall we go?" Alister stood there offering me his arms. I feel the warmth and a trusting aura from him. I can't help but accept his request like a moth drawn to a flame.
"Just stay close to me. I'll protect you." He gives me a reassuring smile.
Being the gullible girl I am. I couldn't help but refuse his offer. I smiled as I can already feel the flames in the side of the face. Going to that cafe is absolute hell. Hotter than Fred's abs. Not like I stared at them or anything but Matthew mention he had one.
"Alright then stay close to me." He held me tightly close to him like a protective father guarding his children.
"Right..." We slowly walked into the wild forest that is the cafe that is filled with all kinds of dangerous beasts that will ruin you with their words and looks.
"Hmm, that's odd? Why is there a crowd over there?" Alister turns to be confused.
I look over to see the animals crowded in one place in the cafe... Who or what could they be crowding on.
"Excuse me but what's going on around there?" Alister asked a bystander close to the cafe.
"Oh, I'm not sure I heard that there was someone named Sugar Hare from Sugar Time there." The bystander replied.
Wait?! I guess he went outside the dorm room... I mean like he did hate being around me so that's why he did that.
Alister and I walk towards the crowd to check it out more.
Everyone's eyes were locked on Alex. On what he's about to do and what he is saying. I found reassurance in that because people didn't look at me. I can finally have peace of mind.
"I am really enjoying my time here! Thank you to the barista that made me this coffee. It's really amazing I'll come back here really often." Alex lets out a fake laugh as he praises the barista.
"Oh my god! Thank you so much! Here is a coupon I'll look forward to your next visit." The barista bows down to Alex handing him a coupon.
"Oh my! Thank you so much! I'll definitely tell everyone to come here." Alex lets out a smile.
He knew he perfected how to smile genuinely enough to grab the trust of the people around him. Like a wolf in sheep's clothing, he is able to control people with just a little smile.
"Sugar Hare! I am such a big fan of your songs. I really love you, you are really sweet and nice to everyone!" A fan dawdles around him.
He pats her head and thanked her which made her spin around erratically, giggling that her idol praised her. Although all his words were nothing but the bubbles in a beer. Not contributing to the drink.
"You don't seem to like this fellow?" Alister turns to me asking. He must have noticed my intense staring at Alex.
"Oh not that I don't like him. I just find it unfortunate to be his roommate since I really wanted to be alone." I sigh.
"Hmm... he seems to be a really pleasant person. Maybe both of you will be good friends together." He taps my shoulders encouraging me to look on the bright side.
I guess he doesn't really know how Alex truly acts like. He may act sweet and kind but in the inside, he just wants to kill everyone who is flocking on him.
"I guess so." I sigh, My eyes got disturbed by flickering lights as I saw a person who has a good camera gear taking pictures of everyone in the room.
"Who is that?" I pointed to the girl taking pictures.
"That's one of the people that release newspapers on our campus. People find it quite interesting to read that even people from other universities read it." Alister replied.
Could it be that this girl... Is the one that took those pictures of me and making up stories about it just for a good scope? I don't want to jump into conclusion but clearly this girl is able to take really good quality shots...
"Shall we continue with our tour? Follow me shall we." Alister leads me outside the cafe.
From that point on we visited all the different rooms and common places students normally hang out on. Alister being there helped me calm down from my social anxiety making it easier for me to travel the campus.
We did run into quite a few people that were not very fond of me and made a few remarks about me and questioned why I was with Alister.
Alister just shrugged them off without bothering about it, he was always calm and collected with everything that happened. I can take a breather or two.
"This concludes our tour I hope you enjoyed our time together." Alister smiled at me.
"Huh?" I was having so much fun that I didn't realize that it was time to go... The sun had gone down and the students started to go back to their dorms.
"Here. It's my phone number. Call me if you ever want to talk again alright?" Alister hands me his phone number.
I snatch the number like how Rose snatches beer when she sees one.
"Thank you. Have a good night." I waved goodbye to him. He seemed to enjoy the tour and I enjoyed it a lot too.
I walked back to my dorm room. I swear to god I hope I don't see Alex...
I open the door to see him there focusing on writing something.
"Good evening Lisa." He says to me without turning away from writing his paper.
Huh? He's usually angry and looking down at me and very narcissistic but it's odd to see him acting like this.
"What? Stop looking at me with that ugly face of yours... You're gonna stare a hole into me." He cringed a little making a snarky remark at me.
"I guess I find it weird that you can be nice to me for a minute." I giggled.
"That's not me being nice it's me saying that you aren't worth anything to me that's why I greet you saying "Good evening" without turning to you because I wouldn't bother wasting my time turning to you." He laughed mocking me.
"Thank you," I say to him.
He looks at me a little flustered. I must have hit a heartstring.
"What.. What? What do you mean thanks? I treated you badly why are you saying thank you? Don't tell me you're a masochist... you like getting stepped on that much?" He looks at me horrified hiding himself using his chair as a "protection."
"You know you look really cute if you weren't swearing and screaming all the time." I laugh.
His eyes widen and his cheeks turn as red as a tomato. "Don't kill me cute! Baka! You pervert hentai! Dummy! Pest!" He spits out nonsense hiding his blushing face from me.
He really is cute... such a tsundere.
"Anyways my manager is looking for another room so I can finally stay away from you. You creep!" He sticks his tongue out teasing me.
"Oh. That's really sad... I'll really miss you.." I sigh.
His face turns even redder. "WHY WOULD YOU MISS ME YOU PERVERT! WE ONLY JUST MET. I AM REALLY GONNA LEAVE HMPH!" He pouts
"You really remind me of this cat of mine. He was really sweet and friendly but he liked to be a bit of a tsundere." I laugh.
"HECK YOUR STUPID CAT! I AIN'T LIKE HIM OR HER OR WHATEVER CHROMOSOME THAT CAT HAS!" He hisses at me.
"I guess I should call you Kitty from now on?" I couldn't hold back the laughter as he keeps moving erratically embarrassed and blushing.
"You really have a knack for annoying me, don't you? You're the worst! I hate you! DON'T TALK TO ME EVER AGAIN." He pouts and rolls his eyes like a five-year-old. Even though he was a college student he acts just like a spoiled little kid.
"By the way. Has anyone ever taken pictures of you before? Since you're an idol and all. You're adored by many people." I talk to him seriously.
He stops blushing and answers me. "Of course. Jealous idols and journalists always want to take me down. Being an idol is not very easy you know? You have to maintain a good reputation and people will do almost everything just to take a picture of you doing those bad things just to ruin your reputation."
"What if someone takes an innocent picture of you and paint it as you doing something wrong but you really didn't do anything... How would you stop people from saying those lies about you." I say to him timidly.
"You can't." He says sternly.
My eyes widen. "What. Why?"
"With just how life works. People want to believe what they want to believe no matter how much the truth is in front of them, they prefer to believe in fantasies especially people only focus on the bad things you do not about the good things."
"Good night then." I hop on to my bed. He looks confused and worried but he just turned away and assumed I wanted to be alone.
I guess no matter what I do... People just believe what they want to believe.
