"So the way this game work is there are card people have to collect, and each card does a separate thing." Gotoh nodded, "That is correct, sir, any moment we should receive a card that can send us directly to Killua."
True to Gotoh's word Leon opened his card book, and sure enough, there was a new card. Smiling, Leon held the card, "Take me to Killua." Leon felt his perception distort, and he was moving at speeds he could barely comprehend.
When it all stopped, Thane looked around to find he was in a canyon of and a few feet away, Leon saw Killua training with a boy around the same age as him with spiky green hair. Both of them were using Nen to smash rocks, and Leon could tell that the other boy had talent.
Overseeing their teaching was a small little girl with blond twin tails and a pink dress with an umbrella. Gotoh appeared right next to Leon a second later, "That was most unpleasant."
Leon smiled and cupped his hands over his mouth, "Killua!" His shout echoed through the canyon, and all three children turned to look at him. Killua cursed and turned to run when he felt a familiar feeling envelope him.
Gon looked at Killua, who had stopped frozen by Leon's nen, "What did you do to Killua?!" Thane blinked, "Who are you?"
Gon growled, "Gon Freecss, Killua's best friend." Leon chuckled, "So your Ging's kid, I guess the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree."
"How do you know my father." Leon sighed, "I met him once with the other Zodiacs. Why does that bother you?"
Gon clenched his fist, "My father left behind a set of clues for me to find him. Tell me where he is!"
"You're in no position to make demands. I still have your best friend under my control." Leon felt Gotoh tense, but the butler didn't question what Leon was doing.
"Don't you dare touch Killua. If anything happens to him, I swear I'll-" Gon was cut off when Biscuit suddenly smacked him on the back of his head.
Biscuit glared at Leon, "I think that's enough playing for now. I don't think your brother is going to be pleased."
Smiling, Thane dismissed his control over Killua, "At least you were able to figure it out." Now unfrozen Killua frowned at Leon, "What are you doing here, Leo. I thought you were in isolation."
"You've been out of the loop, haven't you talked to anyone in the family?" Killua growled, "Illumi already tried to take me back, and he failed, so don't even try."
Leon tisked, "I'm stronger than dad now, Killua," Leon teleported in front of Killua and placed his hand on Killua's forehead, "Don't move."
Leon's thumb dug into Killua's skull and pulled out a small need, "It looks like Illumi left you a gift." Leon tossed the needle aside, "So you guys are here to find his dad, right." Leon asked, pointed at Gon.
"Yeah, Biscuit is also teaching us the advanced techniques to nen." Leon narrowed his eyes, "If you stayed in the family, you would have already learned those techniques. But now is not the time for that. We have a blimp to catch."
Killua blinked, "Where are we going?"
Leon stared at Killua, "You really don't know anything, do you?" Killua blushed and couldn't look at Leon. Smiling, Leon exuded an air of smugness, "You are looking at the leader of the Dragon Republic, the first and only power to settle the Dark Continent successfully."
After that, it didn't take much to get Gon and Killua to follow Leon. All that was left was to visit the harbormaster and 'persuade' him to them the card to take them home.
"So are you satisfied Gotoh, Killua is on his way here and has even found a friend," Leon asked, sitting down in his chair.
Gotoh fixed his glasses, "Yes, I am, Sir. Also, there are several documents you need to review." Leon felt a headache coming on, "How many are several."
"Three hundred and eighty-four, Sir." Rubbing his temples, Leon sighed, "Fine just, but can you look into hiring a secretary, please."
Gotoh nodded, "I already have several applicants lined up for you, sir."
"How can you be the cause of my stress and get rid of it at the same time." Gotoh smile, "That is my job, Sir."
Leon fell asleep at his desk that night and was woken up by a scowling Machi, who immediately dragged him back to the bedroom. Leon was glad he could relieve some stress as the next day, he had to deal with the ambassadors from the nations that agreed to enter negotiations.
All five acted as if they were more important than breathing, and Leon had to restrain himself from crippling all of them physically.
But it was all worth it. In the end, the Dragon Republic's future was secured for the next five years. They also had several hundred people from Meteor City undergoing the process to become the first citizens of the Dragon Republic.
The biologist also discovered a prototype device that stopped the animals in the Dark Continent from tracing Humans. Though of course, they needed more funds and resources which Leon signed off on immediately.
Leon also picked out his secretary so no more paperwork for him.
