Leisure Life: Classroom of The Elite

"I just want to laze around, minding my own business...so what's up with all those conspiracies?" A random average guy who is about to attend Advanced Nurturing High School established by the Japanese government to nurture the young people who will support the country in the future. Fan-fic about Classroom of the Elite and I don't own any of its characters or...simply anything connected to it so make sure to check out original work. WARNING: I am not planning to make MC change plot from early on, you could even say this MC will be just a side character. It's just that I picked this background (Classroom of the Elite) for a slice-of-life relaxing story. Also, some characters might have slightly different personalities so excuse me for those possible mistakes. (School's evaluation of MC !!!SPOILERS!!!): https://imgur.com/a/E5xnn0l (English isn't my 1st language so expect grammar issues)

#36 Frustration

"Aren't you frustrated that she called us the herd of sheep?! Plus the way she talked, it was completely apparent that she was talking down to us. Not to mention, we have to get to Class A to be able to get to the college we want!!" Yukimura was slowly losing it when the trio returned back to the classroom.

"Let's calm down, I am sure we can figure something out together." Hirata tried to calm him down from a safe distance.

"Calm down?! How am I supposed to calm down after that everything happened? I still don't agree with how we were sorted!" Yukimura went to Hirata and grasped his collar.

However before Hirata was able to say anything, Yukimura felt hand on his shoulder. He let go of Hirata and turned around.

"Iwamura?" He called out with a bit of confused and upset expression.

"If you will continue whine about it, nothing will change. You are only making it harder for yourself. If you were to start thinking about how to get to the Class A instead of acting all hysterical, it would be more productive. Maybe you were sorted here because of that fact...Something messes up and you are already panicking and losing your cool. What if something like that happens in the future in your workplace? Will you just whine around, waiting for the consequences?" Yuichi asked with a serious expression, applying a bit more strength to his grip on Yukimura's shoulder.

"..." Everyone who was also panicking a bit turned quiet when they heard Yuichi's words.

"...I am sorry, you are absolutely right...What I did here was just a waste of time and breath. It was in no way productive." Yukimura apologized with his head down.

*Clap* "Everyone, it has been just 1 month, we still have 197 points, thankfully, Horikita-san shared her worries with everyone and we were able to save a lot of points. If we will continue working together, I believe we will be able to accumulate more points." Kushida said with an encouraging tone and smile.

The atmosphere in the classroom wasn't that bad since Class D managed to save some points and most people didn't waste all their private points or at least had little reserves to use for daily necessities. Not to mention, they still got 19.700 private points this month which was really good for them. However, despite all that, it was still a bit moody after Chabashira's trash talk, not to mention the information she revealed was simply too overwhelming for some students.

"Horikita-san, what do you think we should do to regain more points?" Yukimura asked with a thoughtful expression and everyone turned at her.

"Huh?" She was a bit startled from all the stares before she glared at Yuichi as if to say "This is your fault"

"Everyone, first of all, I would like to ask all of you if everyone was taking their tests seriously, including that mock test." Yuichi decided to help out a bit and requested.

"Well...Sae-chan-sensei said that it won't be reflected anywhere so I kinda answered everything hurriedly..."

"Yeah..."

"I wasn't really studying seriously ever since coming here."

A lot of people awkwardly admitted.

"This is lost" Yukimura muttered, burying his face into his hands.

"Yukimura-kun, remember that Chabashira-sensei said that academic results aren't the most important thing. However, I would definitely start at grades before doing anything else. Also, can we please stop with that Sae-chan-sensei...It's weird and she might take it badly and reduce our points because of it...it's not worth to risk it." Yuichi placed his hand on Yukimura's shoulder to comfort him.

"Yeah, it's really weird" A few girls agreed while throwing particular looks at boys who were calling her like that.

"Anyway, I would like to hold a discussion after today's classes end, will everyone be able to attend?" Hirata asked while looking around.

"I won't be able to participate..." Horikita threw Yuichi a look before she said this.

*Sigh* 'It's not like I didn't anticipate it but she looks more nervous and shaken up than usual. Is what Chabashira-sensei said that overwhelming to her? I get that she is proud and all but there were a lot of hints that Class D is the worst class of all. Maybe...' Yuichi sighed hearing her words but then he thought about her behavior after Chabashira left the classroom. He also thought about her brother who is 3rd year Class A, well, he wasn't exactly sure if Manabu is her brother but by her reactions, it was more than safe to assume that. Yuichi thought that maybe she has some kind of complex, the rivalry between her brother and now that she was placed into Class D...

Students were a bit surprised by her answer but Hirata accepted her excuse with an understanding smile.

"There is no need for me to attend" Kouenji said, fixing his hair.

"I have club activities...so I won't remain for more than 15 minutes." Sudo said while glancing at Yuichi. Hirata nodded with a grateful expression towards Sudo since he never expected him to agree to remain to begin with.

'There is simply not enough information for me to assume anything about Horikita's behavior but she definitely is dissatisfied with being sorted into this class...' Yuichi thought before his phone vibrated in the pocket.

[What would you do if I just revealed that it was all you?]

The message came from Horikita so he glanced at her, seeing her sitting in her seat, waiting for the next class.

[Nothing, you probably don't fully understand why I have done it yet. Let me tell you once more, I did it to force you into more social interactions, I have no problem taking that credit for myself neither I want to hide from anything. I don't care if you will reveal it.] Yuichi typed back before turning off the display.

"Tch"

Yuichi could hear Horikita click her tongue after reading his message but she never replied and the next class quickly arrived.

.

.

The classes quickly ended for the day and Hirata currently stood at the podium in front of the board, preparing for the big discussion. Unfortunately, Horikita already left, without saying anything to Ayanokoji or Yuichi, neither she typed him a message. This almost prompted Yuichi to follow after her but he had to be here or people like Sudo might leave without him being present.

Ayanokoji was stuffing his things into his bag, getting ready to leave before an announcement came, telling Ayanokoji to come to see Chabashira-sensei in the Staffroom. Yuichi suddenly stood up after hearing Staffroom and stopped Ayanokoji by placing his hand on his shoulder.

"Iwamura...?" Ayanokoji called out with a confused expression.

Yuichi closed his eyes before opening them after a few seconds with a serious expression.

"If you will meet a teacher with wavy shoulder-length hair there, run away if you can. If not, don't make any sudden moves and don't try to make eye contact with her. I am telling you this so you can avoid unnecessary trouble." Yuichi said with a serious tone.

"...Is she a dinosaur?" Ayanokoji asked with a slightly startled expression, most likely trying to crack a joke.

"*Much worse...A vixen. I am surprised she wasn't kicked out of her position yet.*" Yuichi whispered with narrowed eyes.

"...Now you are making me want to ditch that announcement..." Ayanokoji replied with a bit worried expression.

"Well, Chabashira-sensei is the one looking for you so I guess she will be there too, still, be careful. Unfortunately, ditching something like that would result in more than just a reduction of our points. Well, good luck!" Yuichi said before clapping his back a few times with a bright smile.

Ayanokoji gave a few worried looks at Yuichi before slowly leaving the classroom.

When he arrived at the Staffroom, he indeed met the teacher Yuichi described but he couldn't find Chabashira-sensei anywhere so ignoring Yuichi's warning he asked her where Chabashira-sensei is.

Hoshinomiya replied to his question before starting to bombard him with her own questions while getting closer to him each second.

'I should have listened to Iwamura's warning...' Ayanokoji thought.

Thankfully, Chabashira arrived to help him very quickly.

"This is the second time you are doing this...Can't you just leave my students alone?" Chabashira asked with narrowed eyes.

'The second time? ...Iwamura' Ayanokoji thought with closed eyes.

"It's not my fault...you have too interesting students plus I haven't done anything to them..." Hoshinomiya replied before shrugging her shoulders.

"Plus, you are acting a bit suspicious Sae-chan...First it was Iwamura-kun and now it is Ayanokoji-kun...Have you perhaps discovered a new kink?" Hoshinomiya asked with a silly grin and Chabashira looked ready to kill someone.

'Why do I have to be the one to suffer? Did Iwamura already predict something like this? I guess, he did since she is still throwing all kinds of remarks despite Chabashira-sensei's presence' Ayanokoji thought but his fate was much worse, he was forced into a kitchenette to wait there until Horikita came, demanding answers around her being sorted into Class D.

She argued how she solved all problems on the entrance examination. Chabashira agreed with her being smart but then she dropped the bomb by mentioning that being smart doesn't mean to be superior.

When Horikita heard her words, she fell silent for a while recalling someone's words.

"Would you say that you are superior to Iwamura?" Chabashira asked with an amused smile.
