Leisure Life: Classroom of The Elite

"I just want to laze around, minding my own business...so what's up with all those conspiracies?" A random average guy who is about to attend Advanced Nurturing High School established by the Japanese government to nurture the young people who will support the country in the future. Fan-fic about Classroom of the Elite and I don't own any of its characters or...simply anything connected to it so make sure to check out original work. WARNING: I am not planning to make MC change plot from early on, you could even say this MC will be just a side character. It's just that I picked this background (Classroom of the Elite) for a slice-of-life relaxing story. Also, some characters might have slightly different personalities so excuse me for those possible mistakes. (School's evaluation of MC !!!SPOILERS!!!): https://imgur.com/a/E5xnn0l (English isn't my 1st language so expect grammar issues)

#12 Bus Drama

The preparations for the entrance examination went very well for Yuichi and when the fated day arrived, he tried his best without being nervous at all. After a few days, he got the results of his tests and he scored 70 points in mathematics and science while 59 points in history and then other subjects were around 60 points.

After that, he also got a letter of invitation to an interview which practically told him that he is already accepted based on his test results. At the interview, they asked him a lot of regular yet also strange questions however Yuichi kept calm and kept answering no matter how strange questions were asked.

They even questioned the situation after his friend left and also the accident that followed right a few months after his friend's disappearance. Yuichi's polite smile never faltered in front of their questions and pressure and he simply replied that it was indeed very unfortunate accident. Yuichi knew that it wasn't that hard to research him and be suspicious of him however...without the evidence they can suspect him all they want.

------

"That will be everything, thank you for your time, Iwamura Yuichi." The main man responsible for Yuichi's interview said with closed eyes.

"Thank you for taking the time to interview me!" Yuichi got up from his seat and bowed down to the people opposite of him, sitting at the table.

When he turned around to leave, almost as out of habit he released an amused smirk and then glanced at the camera installed in the corner of the room on the door's wall side, without trying to hide his amusement.

"Sir...?" The secretary of the man in charge called out to him.

"Send the recording of this interview to the principal" The man said without even opening his eyes.

"...Are you sure?" His secretary wasn't convinced so she asked just to be sure.

"This kid...if he can be nurtured well, he will become great asset for the country in the future, however, he is quite flawed. Not to mention I couldn't see through him even after the interview was at the end." The man explained.

"May I ask? Why is he flawed? And it's very rare for sir not being able to see through someone." The secretary asked with a confused expression.

"He is unable to manage his time effectively and instead of that, he is pushing himself too much which led to the reason why I can't truly see through him...I suspect that he has 2 different personalities. It is impossible to see through 2 personalities that are actually existing together in harmony, meshed together within such a short amount of time ." He replied with a thoughtful expression.

*Beep* *Beep* The alarm started ringing inside Yuichi's room and he turned it off at a lightning speed.

*Yawn* Yuichi got up from the bed while scratching his head together with his disheveled hair.

He was already 15 quite some time and his height was 180 cm (+- 5.9 ft)

Yuichi dressed up his new uniform consisting of a white dress shirt, a red button-up blazer, paired with dull green pants, brown shoes, and a blue or reddish-brown tie. For the tie, he chose the wine-colored one.

"Not bad, at least better than the previous one that was too dull" Yuichi muttered, standing in front of the mirror while loosening his tie a bit to make himself a bit comfortable. A cold glint flashed in his left eye as he was done dressing up with an amused smirk.

'I guess today will start my real test if I will get torn apart or survive...' Yuichi thought before he returned to his bright side as he lightly smiled.

Yuichi went to grab a quick breakfast before going to bathroom to brush his teeth and tidy his hair with the comb.

As he stood in front of the mirror, with his hands placed on the wash-basin, looking down, he splashed some cold water into his face before looking up at the mirror.

*inhale* *exhale* Yuichi took one deep breath before releasing it and exiting the bathroom.

"Yu-chan, you should get moving or you will miss the second and last bus!" His mother waited for him in front of the front door with a strict expression yet with a smile.

"Mother...There is no second bus...this is the bus I was intending to take so it is my first and last bus. If Mei wanted to be at the entrance ceremony much earlier, it is her choice...I personally don't see any reason for going early." Yuichi replied with a helpless look with his bag over his shoulder.

"That's where she is much smarter than you, young man! What about the consideration of how packed the bus will be? Do you think you are the only student going to the entrance ceremony?" His mother said while holding up her index finger to show how serious she is.

"I will simply stand, I have no need to sit during the ride. Anyway, I should get going...see you in 3 years if I won't get expelled within a few first months?" Yuichi shrugged his shoulders before turning serious and saying uncertainly with an awkward smile.

"You-! I dare you to get expelled! Don't even joke about it." His mother said with a stern expression before pulling him into a tight hug.

Unfortunately, Yuichi's father was at work so he had to say goodbye already yesterday.

With the goodbyes done, Yuichi went outside towards the bus stop where he waited a few minutes for the right bus to arrive. When his bus arrived, he got on the bus and noticed that all the seats were already taken and he noticed a lot of students with the same uniforms as him. He chose to stand where was the most space and it was in front of the young well-built blond man wearing exactly the same uniform as Yuichi.

While the bus was slowly getting crowded on each stop, Yuichi was secretly yet thoroughly observing all students aboard.

While he was scanning students at the back of the bus, he suddenly heard someone talking with a raised voice right beside him.

"Hey, young man, can't you see that this elderly woman is having trouble?"

Yuichi turned to his right and saw an elderly woman and a younger woman wearing a two-piece suit. He started observing them with his bright green eyes for a few seconds before losing interest in them, therefore he turned at the young man who was being yelled at.

Her voice naturally attracted a lot of people's attention as everyone turned Yuichi's directions since the commotion was happening right next to him.

"What a crazy question, lady. Are you expecting me to offer up my seat?" The young man replied in quite a rude way however no one really minded it.

"Of course, you are sitting on the priority seat, and don't you feel sorry for letting elderly woman stand while you sit with your young legs?" The younger woman asked with an upset expression.

"Just because this is a priority seat doesn't mean I have to offer it up. What I am doing right now is nothing illegal. Also, the reasoning that "you are young" is also quite ridiculous if you ask me." The young man replied with a relaxed smile and crossed legs.

'Aaah, where is the popcorn when a man needs one?' Yuichi thought with a stoic expression on the outside but inwardly he was very amused by this.

The argument went on for a few minutes where the younger woman grew more desperate as she started arguing how he should listen to his superiors and older people which was something even Yuichi didn't like, at least used in an argument, it only showed that the woman was at her ends and desperate. He also didn't like the argument said by the young man about saving more energy by sitting than by standing.

The younger woman was getting ruder with each second she was on the losing end so Yuichi decided to help out a bit like a nice and behaved young man he is.

"Young lady, I think it would be better idea to go ask other people, after all, he isn't the only one sitting on the bus, I am pretty sure you will be able to find a more sensible person somewhere else." Yuichi turned to the younger woman and suggested with a bright smile. He even added "young" to soothe her a bit by giving her a small compliment.

"Eh?" She turned at Yuichi with a slightly stunned expression and perhaps even she was now aware that she wasn't acting her age which caused her to slightly blush in embarrassment that she had to be reminded by another high schooler.

"See, even someone of the age you think you are superior to is able to comprehend what I am trying to explain to you." The young man said with a vigorous smile towards the younger woman which caused her to snap her head at him with narrowed eyes.

"Well, I bet that you have spent far more energy by justifying your right for the priority seat and showing off your knowledge of the rules than you would have spent by standing." Yuichi said while looking out of the window with a calm expression.

"Hm? That's not exactly the truth however you have a good point! I was spending my mental energy by thinking about how to reply while I would be spending physical energy if I were to stand during the entire ride." The young man snapped his fingers and said, pointing at Yuichi standing in front of him.

The young woman who heard this once again turned angry but before she could even growl at him, Yuichi counter-attacked since it was better than keep standing in silence.

"Interesting however have you included an aspect of moving with your tongue and opening your mouth every time you talk? Also, you are a high schooler, the main energy you will be using will be the mental one, not to mention the fact that you will have to spend numerous hours sitting in the classroom therefore there will be enough time to replenish your physical energy." Yuichi said while still looking out of the window.

His words actually made some people open their mouths at how obscure this argument became. However, there was one young girl with long black hair, wearing the same uniform in female's design. That girl was completely ignoring the argument, reading her book in her seat until she heard Yuichi "arguing" and using bizarre arguments. She raised her eyes away from the book and looked at Yuichi and at the young blond man in front of him with an intrigued look in her eyes.

The young man frowned hearing Yuichi's words and decided to reply.

"Indeed, those are points I haven't included however that still doesn't change the fact that I don't want to waste my physical energy by offering up the seat."

Yuichi wanted to continue just for his own amusement but another young girl in his school's uniform approached them and asked everyone if there isn't anyone willing to give up their seat.

'Oops, totally forgot about the elderly woman there...' Yuichi thought inwardly with a silly smile but on the outside, he still had never changing calm expression.

After a few seconds some other young woman offered up her seat and the young girl guided the elderly woman to the empty seat.

Yuichi turned at the shocked young woman from before who was now gaping at him.

"I apologize but as you can see, young lady...sometimes you can't convince people no matter what so it's better to take a path around and find the solution in a different way." Yuichi said with an apologetic smile.

The young woman continued staring into Yuichi's bright green eyes for a few seconds before waking up from her daze. She immediately turned red from embarrassment due to her earlier words since she was now practically lectured by high schooler however she could feel the sincerity from his eyes so she just smiled and nodded her head at him.

Please be prepared for a slow pace.
