Dao Seal & Passage

With his cultivation having soared to new heights he was now qualified to prepare his Dao seal. This would not be an easy thing to do by any means. He may have been an outstanding talent but without the ability to get a pill to aid him or the will of a universe world. And even the rare opportunity from the World tree not being there. This would all be his own effort. And thus not something just anyone could do.

After receiving explanations of the Dao Seal from all of the 7th ranks and above in the entire pass, He went into seclusion again. He had also received some from the other Old Ancestors. Each of them had long since been made aware of Lei Jin's existence and knew what it would mean if he could directly promote to the 9th order. With that understanding they also knew they would have to send him to the 3000 worlds to gather the resources himself. To find his own resources. No one would know when he would come out but they hoped that when he did it would still be convenient to send him back.

In Seclusion Lei Jin had been focused on consolidating the information on the Dao Seal into one Dragon Phoenix Jade Slip. This was because of how much information he had to sift through it would be more convenient to sort and organize it first. Once he was done, the Slip he used to consolidate all of the information having been bathed in his Rainbow Light began to give off a profound feeling. He then focused on all of the information contained within. There was still something missing?

For the span of a year Lei Jin felt as though there had been something missing from the Information. However this was his imagination and only realized after the year was over that he simply needed to begin condensing the seal. So he added that bit into the jade slip. The feeling of reaching into the Dao Seal Realm was nothing short of fulfilling. He could feel his strength growing. "I'll have to spar with someone to see my true limits." He said to himself half way through his Seals formation.

It had been some time when he came out. He was now forty years old and his Dao Seal was not only finished but incredibly stable. He came out and saw the Regiment commanders in the war hall. "Seniors, this one has succeeded. Apologies for taking so long. The information I had received was vast and incredibly profound. I ask that the various seniors help me in thanking everyone." Lei Jin Said cupping his hands after appearing.

"Your master is in seclusion. He fought with the Royal lord previously and is healing his wounds. The Old Ancestor gave instructions to send you out when we verified your Dao seal." one of the commanders said. He walked up and checked his Lei Jin's Dao seal. "What! How? Well I can say that you'll definitely handle 9th rank resources. But just how did you manage to do this well?" He said after seeing the profundity of Lei Jin's seal.

"Senior it was due to this Dragon Phoenix Jade Slip that I had consolidated all the information I received from the various High rank masters." Lei Jin Said pulling out a Jade slip that gave off an immense and profound feeling. This was something that was on par with taking the Dao condensing Pill. However this was reusable and never ending.

"Take this thing back with you! This thing will help my human race produce many new 7th rank direct promotions. Not only did you promote but you made something so amazing." The 8th rank commander said.

The others got a chance to see this things profundity directly as they inspected it individually. Lei Jin still had to ask something. "Seniors, is it possible to get a spar from someone. I fear I don't know my own strength too well. While I'm quite confident no Great Emperor realm poses a threat. The 3000 Worlds is different from this Ink Battlefield. There not all of the Open Heaven masters are cut of the same cloth nor from the same house. I'd like to test my strength before I leave." Lei Jin said.

"Hmm, the issue is there are no suitable candidates. Oh I know the perfect person. They are a 5th rank Open Heaven who just had to separate his small universe twice. That might be a good match. And if it isn't, we can go from there." The commander said.

Lei Jin nodded and accepted this arrangement. He knew that a 5th rank in such a condition wouldn't really be a threat. Let alone a challenge so he would play around and slowly increase his abilities.

The match started and Lei Jin could be seen using his fathers Artifact. Some were surprised to see it again. They knew exactly who's weapon that was. The Scorch Hammer, its strength alone was immense. It could be said in Lei Jin's father's hands there would be few Feudal lords who could match him. Obviously Lei Jin was poor at first but he was confident he could learn how to use this hammer.

The fifth rank Open Heaven who he was fighting was proficient in the battle ax martial dao. Two heavy weapon users would undoubtedly be a great clash. The two of them would move in and exchange blows. This went on for quite awhile. With each clash Lei Jin would become slightly more proficient with its Dao. The fight ended with Lei Jin having a narrow victory.

"You're quite the surprising young man. Even if I am weakened considerably you still managed to win against me while holding back." The 5th rank said. His ax pole shoved into the ground to support his body weight.

Lei Jin activated his Rainbow Light and healed some of the man's wounds. "I don't know what you mean by holding back? The point of this match was not to defeat you. No, it was to improve my understanding of the weapon Daos. I'm going to try and get accustomed to my mothers Artifact." He said.

"Interesting, but it might be hard for you to understand more Daos. Beware of overstepping and thus slowing your growth." the 5th rank said. "Ah, but I'm sure you already know that. And with your talent it probably won't do much to you." He continued.

"You're funny Senior, you don't need to worry about me. I'm just testing a few things out. If it works then it does. If not then it wasn't meant to be." Lei Jin said, Cupping his hands as the man left.

Someone else came up to train with Lei Jin. This wasn't planned but Lei Jin wasn't going to pass up a chance like this. "Thank you senior for your instruction." Lei Jin said, pulling out the two sister artifacts that his mother was proficient with. A sword and gauntlet, when both were worn and used at the same time they could push someone's combat power up slightly. However one needed to learn the sword Dao. Which was one of the harder weapons to learn how to wield efficiently.

"No need to be thankful, young man. I'm curious how you'll do." This 6th rank said pulling out her own sword.

The clashes began and for some reason Lei Jin was having a far easier time with this. The weapon Dao was quickly and more rapidly expanding. His proficiency with this Dao and the Artifacts were quickly approaching the level of the opponent. Still She was a healthy 6th rank and thus could rely on it if she wished to put on some pressure. Little did she know this would force him to advance further faster.

The clashing became more rapid and more powerful. Half a day later the two were still clashing. This woman had arrived here just a few hundred years ago and hadn't expected anyone to press her this much. Like yes it was possible but still. She was having fun with this battle which was something she couldn't say on the battlefield.

Lei Jin's advancement was even more rapid than the Hammer Dao. Compared to the size of the Warhammer he had before the sword he was wielding was for someone more noble and less muscular. This sword was far more suitable to him than any of the other artifacts he had used before. This match ended with Lei Jin having a narrow loss. His proficiency was quite high now. The woman he fought just now was around the 5th level in the Sword Dao. Lei Jin had been able to reach the 3rd level. In just the span of a half a day.

"Young man, you're incredible. You even show signs of advancing to the 4th level! I think if you combine your experience in all of your Daos you may be invincible to the 3rd order and below." She said, holding a hand out to pick him up. More of a friendly gesture than anything else.

"Many thanks senior. I now feel closer to my parents than I did before." Lei Jin said, taking the helping hand and standing up. Then cupping his hands.

"When you go back to the 3000 Worlds, you should find yourself a good woman. Someone like you should have a few of your own." She said, sorta upset, Lei Jin wasn't an Open Heaven Realm and thus couldn't ignore the glaring age difference. It wouldn't be right of her to do so.

"You're not the first person to say so, Senior. Thank you for the match. I have a good idea on where I am in terms of strength. I should be relatively safe on my trip back." Lei Jin Said.

A short while later Lei JIn was at the teleport array and had been given the message to hand over to the outpost on the other side. Just before he left he received a message from his master. "Be sure not to settle for any weak ranked elements. You should always be refining 9th rank peak elements." The message said. Lei Jin smiled and cupped his hands saying, "Thank you to everyone who has helped me these years. I will make sure this message is delivered.". The Array hummed and Lei Jin disappeared from sight.

He arrived at a place where the other messages had arrived. The Dragon and Phoenix Clans were surprised to see that someone came in person. A Dragon Race member appeared. His presence was just as intimidating as an 8th rank. He was clearly a Master.

"Young man, what pass have you come from? And what is your purpose for coming here?" The Dragon Race said. The Dragon form was truly a wondrous sight to behold.

Lei Jin cupped his hands respectfully, "Senior, This one is Lei JIn from Azure Void pass. I was instructed to deliver a message to the 3000 Worlds. I also have a slip here that bears the intent of each of my human race's Old Ancestors, They request that I be sent to the 3000 worlds." He said. There was no need to hold anything back after all.

"You can not go back to the 3000 Worlds. This is the rule. Once one has passed through the no-return pass, one is no longer allowed to return." He said, in a calm but commanding voice.

A far stronger Phoenix Appeared and nearly made Lei Jin go unconscious with the sheer magnitude of the pressure emitted. "If that is the rule then we should send him through. This young man of the human race was born here in the ink battlefield." The phoenix said in a tender voice.

The Dragon paused for a moment and then had one of his whisker-like threads touch Lei Jin's head. And went through his past. Quickly finding out there is no lie present in what has been said. "Hmmm… Has my Dragon Races Divine Dragon heard of this matter?" He said. He wasn't resisting so much this time. He just wanted to make sure everything was fine.

"Let the boy pass! He is capable of directly promoting to the 9th Rank Open Heaven Realm. Even if he isn't coming back after. Having him there in the 3000 Worlds, is enough to give everyone in this battlefield peace of mind. Who knows what the Ink Clan could do. Also Divine Phoenix you nearly knocked him out just now you should be careful." The Divine Dragons Voice resonated and resounded in the area.

"Senior Divine Dragon worries too much about me, I just didn't expect such powerful Spatial fluctuations. I should be thanking The various Seniors for aiding my progress just now. I had focused on the Dao of Time. So my Space Dao was lacking." Lei Jin Said.

"Good, then you should go. See the world we are protecting from the corruption of Ink. I wish you luck in finding good resources for yourself. If you find Sun's Burning Shine and Moon's Nether Glimmer you'll find no shortage of Yin and Yang Materials." Divine Phoenix said. And a space ring containing the reinforcement requests was handed to him.

Lei Jin then received a barrier to protect him from the various forces of the void. Then left through the Void Tunnel. During his trip he began comprehending some of the mysteries of the Dao of space. This trip would take 3 months to complete. It was far faster in the other direction. This was because the void flowed towards the battlefield. Lei Jin didn't mind this since the longer he comprehended the Void Flow the more advanced his understanding of the Space Dao he obtained.

Half way through the trip he sensed something in the void. And he did his best to grab hold of it. His speed slowed slightly. But considering he was a Dao seal Realm it could be explained. The item he pulled towards him was, Primordial Earth Vein! A truly outstanding find. This was not just a ninth Rank resource. With this his defenses would be impregnable by almost anybody who wasn't trying their absolute best. It was the rumored highest rank resource.

He put it away since this wasn't the time to be refining materials into his Dao Seal. He decided to continue going at this pace and try to finish learning more about the Dao of space. After a short while he popped out of the Void tunnel's other end. He located the outpost and showed up on the landing platform. This was where the Cultivators would assemble before heading to the Ink Battlefield.
