A Fortunate Choice

Li Wu Yi and Jiu Feng were noticeably excited as the scrolls reached their hands. However after a short time of investigating the method they quickly became flustered. Lei Jin and his wives giggled a little. Gu Pan who had also been privy of the method but hadn't practiced it before grew a bit red. Meanwhile the pure and innocent Ruo Xi was left to be utterly confused.

"I assure you both that this will resolve the issue." Lei Jin said.

"I… I see, were we really that see through?" Li Wu Yi asked.

"In any case sir Li Wu Yi, accept the insights I have made." Lei Jin said, ignoring the question and sending a beam of light to him.

Li Wu Yi was then bombarded by the immense complexity that the Dao of Space had. All of this was Lei Jin's understanding of the Dao of Space. One saw Li Wu Yi start sweating as a result of seeing the varying uses.

Lei Jin had a wide variety of understanding when it came to the Daos he studied. Minus the sword and hammer Daos. It was for this reason he could show off an extraordinary power in most any circumstance. However, this didn't mean he had a higher level of understanding. After all, Yang Kai had a better understanding of the Dao of Space. But it wasn't as if Yang Kai didn't learn anything from Lei Jin. It was just a difference in perspective that could lead to discovering certain aspects.

"Yang Kai said young Lei Jin had an interesting degree of insight. Just how did you manage to comprehend this much?" Li Wu Yi asked Lei Jin after he recovered from learning such a massive amount of information so quickly.

"The Cave Heavens and Paradises have ancient records. So ancient that the words themselves are nearly impossible to comprehend. However, I was born with the innate ability to understand this ancient language. Thus I am able to learn from the text. After I simply translated it to our current language." Lei Jin said, avoiding any other specifics.

"If that's the case then we shouldn't try to pry too much. Since you're the only one who can understand that language. Maybe if there was a way for everyone to understand it, should they wish too." Li Wu Yi said, pondering his thoughts. "In any case, I must thank you for this. Is there anything you'd like in return?" he added.

"I'd be lying if I said there wasn't. However, your Star Boundary's great emperors have already refused me. So it would be wrong of me to ask you. For now though if you wish to pay back this gratitude please find a way to have one of them or even Yang Kai himself to explain their reasons. I offered them such a massive reward for a simple thing but was refused and wish to understand their reasons." Lei Jin said, showing his sincerity by asking for practically nothing and not even requiring it.

"This… I can tell you the simple reason why. Though it may not be to your liking. And even a bit insulting." Li Wu Yi said, realizing the situation.

"Are you sure we should tell him? That would be quite rude. And what if we are wrong on this matter?" Jiu Feng said, surprised and upset.

"Worry not, the mere fact they refused to grant my request would have been more than enough reason for utter destruction. As you can plainly see I have not given the order. Also, not a soul in the Cave Heaven Paradises would raise a hand against this place. Feel free to speak if you wish or keep it secret for now. I'll eventually find out one day no matter what." Lei Jin said, calmly.

"I see, well to be quite honest they don't trust you. Given what's happened in the past it makes sense this is the case." Li Wu Yi said simply.

Lei Jin's brows raised. There was no way that it was a simple matter of just Yang Kai being Suppressed. Even accounting for the war that recently ended. With the deal they have struck. And Yang Kai's new Identity as a Son-in-law of Yin-Yang Heaven. It was just not possible for any of the known problems that have happened to be enough to explain this degree of secrecy. So clearly something happened before.

"I see, in that case it seems a disciple of a cave heaven or paradise has done something truly horrid. If I knew who it was and what it was I could do something about it. Truly a shame they didn't accept my previous offer. Because now that deal is off the table. Perhaps there will be a change of heart later in the future." Lei Jin said, plainly. "I suspected this was the case from the beginning. It can't be helped then. I wish you luck in your endeavors. I have other business to attend to so forgive me having to rush this along." Lei Jin added, clearly disappointed.

The pair left after saying short but respectful goodbyes.

"It was a good thing we told him. Otherwise if he found out on his own there would likely be some hell to pay for such a thing." Li Wu Yi said to Jiu Feng.

"You're right. I'm not sure what the deal was that he offered but given he took it off the table it must have been based on the hope of mutual trust." Jiu Feng said.

"That Cultivation method is a perfect example of trust. However, we can't just simply trust him right out the gate. I believe the Great Emperors were not wrong." Li Wi Yi said.

"We should tell Sir Martial Beast about this first thing when we return. Perhaps he will tell us what they refused." Jui Feng said.

"Right, let's get back quicker." Li Wu Yi said, shattering the void and grabbing hold of Jiu feng pulling her close. The two traveled through the void to return to visit Sir Martial Beast. He was the one who allowed them to go. As well as make good decisions. They both hoped that the events that occurred would not be looked down on.

"Alright, I'll be heading out. If anyone needs me for something important just ask Qing Ning or any of my wives. They can all tell me the situation from afar. I won't go too far but I'd prefer not to spoil it." Lei JIn said, standing up and leaving the hall. Then flew away towards a certain location.

"Alright, ladies, you should all get some rest. I suspect that when he returns this time we will be departing." Azure Heart said, having a vague sense of things.
