2000 Years In
~~2000 Years Into Training~~
Once again everyone gathered together. The whole of the Army was beaming with anticipation at what kind of training they would be able to access next. And the new 7th ranks were quite excited to finally have the promised migrants. Who wouldn't be? Everyone was able to see the effects plain as day. One must be blind to reality if they couldn't see the difference having people live in their small universe made.
While there were plenty of people who were excited about the new words from Lei Jin, there were inevitably others who weren't. Those that fell into this category were the ones who had failed to meet the expectations Lei Jin had laid out prior. And none of them had a prior valid excuse. These people were understandably quite nervous.
Lei Jin opened his eyes. If one looked into them, it was looking at a near infinite expanse of space and time. Many gulped audibly seeing such power. Lei Jin smiled softly. "First order of business, high ranks step forward to receive their migrants." Lei Jin said, calmly. He didn't mind that there were people who failed his requirements. Rather, he seemed quite pleased.
"Husband, the other group here are the ones who failed to break through to the 7th rank." Qing Ning said, after the new 7th ranks had finished receiving their rewards. "I knew you had specific requirements. So I figured it would be easier to handle it this way. Also, all my sisters and I have reached the 8th rank with the several who started at 8th rank, reaching ever close to the 9th rank." She further conveyed.
"I see, there are about 2 thousand people who couldn't keep up with that pace… Hmmm, it's a little less than I expected to fail. This is a good result. For those of you who failed to reach 7th rank, and have not recently become Open Heaven within these last thousand years… Allow me to inspect your condition. Are you willing?" Lei Jin said, rubbing his chin.
"Disciple is willing! No, Disciple would not dare refuse!" Many of them said cupping their hands and bowing deeply. Showing their sincere regret for failing to meet the goal.
"Hmm, there is no need to worry yourselves too much about it. I set that goal not because I truly believed everyone could achieve it. I set it to push you to work together. And grow into a perfect unified team. As such there isn't going to be any weird kind of punishment. Now then, time for inspection." Lei Jin said, comforting them.
Soon after speaking Lei Jin had begun to inspect those 2000 or so individuals. With a sense of overwhelming safety covering them it was clear who had been inspected and who had not yet been. Though, each and everyone of them would never forget the feeling of such a mighty master's strength coursing through their bodies, minds and souls.
"I see, If you take a look at your palms, I have color coded the corrections you need to make. Or changes you should do to make up for the inherent shortcomings of your physiques. As well as other things. And I have also assigned masters from among the others present who will be able to help guide you through the proper path. They are noted by the number. So you only need to find the master that matches your number." Lei Jin explained, having finished the inspection.
"This Disciple is forever grateful for the Supreme Master's help in this matter." The Disciples said, cupping their hands again.
"Good! Now then." Lei Jin said, snapping his fingers. Causing numerous worlds to appear. "The Cave Heavens and Paradises had monopolized this sort of thing in the past. I hope you use it well. The others from those families can explain them in further detail. I will end this discussion here for now. I have some pressing matters to attend to at the moment." Lei Jin said, closing his eyes again.
"Alright everyone, these are small worlds. We would allow exceptional Disciples to enter and gain experience in a variety of ways. These ones seem to be particularly tailored to fighting the Ink Clan. So everyone should have their wits about them once they enter. Only 7th and 8th ranks are allowed to enter. Everyone else, continue to cultivate and grow stronger." Azure Heart explained shortly after Lei Jin fell into his deep focus.
~~Inside Lei Jin's Inner Domain~~
"A good thing that didn't take long. With that weird thing going on over here and there… I don't really have time to spare even with my methods, it still is a bit rough. I get the faint sense I know what it is going to be. I just don't know if I should push forward with that idea in mind just yet." Lei Jin thought as he stared at another array core that had formed rather far away. But also right next to his first one.
"Master, the World Creation Chaos Arrays have increased in speed once again. What would you like us to do now?" The most senior disciple asked Lei Jin.
None of the disciples need to be even remotely near him to know that their master heard them. Lei Jin was, after all, literally the owner of this Inner Domain. In a sense it was him. And it was him.
"Allocate two of the arrays to the formation of 7th rank worlds and then the rest can be whatever you wish. Just try to keep a little bit of a balance." Lei Jin instructed. "This is really quite odd. It's almost like the entire World Array I had made became its own separate section…" He thought. "I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. But whichever one it is… I know I will be different. Was this caused by me creating the rule of 10s?" He continued pondering.
Slowly but surely worlds continued to appear 1 by 1. But with the varying speed of their arrival it wasn't hard for Lei Jin to keep up. "I wonder… What if this first array will max out 10 ranks below to the one above. All the way to 1 2nd rank to 10 1st rank worlds. Only time will tell." Lei Jin sighed.
