100 Years Training

With a simple nod from Lei Jin, alleviating the restless thoughts of the cultivators. The Army began their brutally intense training and cultivation. Everyone was required to learn how to perform the Multi-Directional Arrays. The Army's Cultivators had little idea as to why. But, that was only for the first 100 years. Until it became quite apparent.

"Senior Brother! This method is quite good. The four of us only at the 6th rank can compete evenly with several of the newer 7th rank's now." A Woman in a group of four said, in a gleeful voice.

"It really is something impressive. I think I finally understand why we are required to learn this method." Another Woman cheered.

"Indeed, with everyone reaching the accomplishment of this array, there will be significantly less worry when joining up with people we have never fought alongside before." The Senior Brother to the others said, looking at his hands and noticing that there was a big difference.

"I thought it was just so we could cultivate faster? I didn't realize that it would have such profound effects either. And it looks like everyone is experiencing similar situations. But I still wonder why the Four-Directions Array has changed so much. At the beginning of this training it had been only a rough 50% increase to our collective strength. Now it's reached a little past 100% increase. Perhaps… 110… no 120% now." The most junior of the 4 noted.

"Ahahaha! Naturally after practicing it for so long with each other there would be massive gains. To be able to compete with a 7th rank of my level is already quite impressive." The 7th rank laughed. "You should know that while performing this will inevitably increase its power and since everyone has learned it, you'll be able to use it with anyone. You should still try to use it with your current team. There will still be a drop in performance if you don't practice with others." He added.

"Is that why once we reach the 125% mark we should swap partners? That would make it more likely to work if we find ourselves in need." The most senior Sister of the four asked.

"Indeed, I think that may be the case. Furthermore we are told not to attempt our 7th rank promotion until all of us have achieved a total of 300 others we can perform this with." The second Sister said, getting slightly worried.

"Don't worry about how many you need to learn how to practice with. It may have taken 100 years for you to reach this point. But everyone else has as well. As a result it is highly likely that you won't have to take nearly as many years to perfect this method. In fact the time should drastically decrease as you gain more experience." The 7th rank explained.

"Can Elder explain further? I'm a little confused as to the reason for such things." The most junior brother asked.

"Ahahaha! A simple matter. The reason is quite easy. How confident are you in everyone's ability here to perform this method? This is the only real barrier to this technique. So naturally as everyone increases their number of people to perform this with increases, then the speed at which you grow confident with them will increase as well." The 7th rank Elder laughed a little while explaining.

"So that means… the 300 people we get used to isn't so we can do this method with only those people… It's to increase the confidence in everyone! So that everyone has the needed trust to perform this technique!" The most junior brother shouted out in surprise.

"No wonder why the Supreme Master is called such… So fierce. Hiding the true effect until after the fact. But yet realizing it as one practices." The Senior Brother said, trembling in excitement.

"Once everyone reaches the total of 300 it is unlikely that anyone will experience much if any concern in this matter. Since everyone will have had 300 others under their belt, that means they have mastered the sensation 100 times over. After such practice it would naturally be difficult to not become adept at using this method." The 7th rank further explained.

"Then let's go again, I don't think it will be difficult to finish the last remaining 5%" The second Sister declared excitedly.

"Then come!" The 7th rank Elder said.

Their battle began once again. A similar thing happened among all the teams throughout the void. Every single person working together to build themselves up and mastering the methods that would end the Ink Clan once and for all.

However, this wasn't the only meaning behind Lei Jin's order, that would be far too simple. No, he intends each and every single one of these people to master this technique to the point of which any random helper could come in and help. To include the people still on the Ink Battlefield. In this way 7th ranks could join together and slaughter the Feudal Lords like a butcher does to his pigs and chickens.

"They are doing quite nicely. I look forward to the results in the next 100 years. I think after this time they will have mastered it completely. Let alone 100 times, with the effort they are putting in I would be surprised if they didn't exceed that number on purpose." Azure Heart reported her view on the progress to Lei Jin.

"It is good, indeed. But there is something on your mind isn't there?" Lei Jin asked, basically forcing it out of Azure Heart.

"Yes, there is something else." Azure Heart said, pausing for a moment. "There are numerous people who wish to come out and promote the Open Heaven realm. All of us that have people living in our small universe have at least a couple dozen. Totaling over 2 thousand right now. They have all expressed a desire to help fight the Ink Clan as well. I wonder what your thoughts are on it." She explained.

"So have these brave souls too. Hmm, have them all begin training then. I won't refuse them joining the fight. But I will not allow anyone to force others to fight a battle they have no need to participate in." Lei Jin said, indicating that this was the line that must be drawn. If crossed there would undoubtedly be a suitable punishment.
