A terrible night

On a dark, black night,

In a desolate place, there was nothing but devastation all around. All the houses were broken, the entire ground was stained with blood, and pieces of human bodies were scattered everywhere. Amidst all this destruction, a 13-14 year old girl stood alone. She was wearing armor made of a silver-like metal and held a sword made of an iron-like metal. She was surrounded by thousands of strange monsters approaching her.

Seeing all this, the girl thought to herself, "What has happened? Everything was fine just a few hours ago. This was our beautiful home, but now we are forced to leave our own house, even after having to fight our own people. It's hard to believe that all these monsters were our people just hours ago, and now they are trying to kill us. Their own princess."

As she said this, her sword began to glow red, and she swiftly moved through the monsters, cutting them down, and then said to herself, "Devstorm, we will never forgive you for this."

**A Few Hours Earlier:**

The princess was in her training ground, standing among four mannequins, wearing her silver-like armor and holding her sword. The four mannequins had six arms each, each arm holding a 2-meter-long sword. The mannequins were continuously attacking Princess Riona with the speed of lightning, and Princess Riona was blocking all twenty-four swords with her one sword. She was moving her sword so fast that her body appeared to be standing still, and her hands were invisible. Sparks were flying all around her, and the sound was like hundreds of AK47 guns being fired simultaneously.

After a while, a woman wearing royal white attire and a crown studded with diamonds on her head arrived. As soon as she came, she said to the princess, "Riona, that's enough." Riona ignored her and continued her training.

In an instant, the woman appeared beside Riona, breaking the swords of the mannequins and holding Riona's sword with one hand, saying, "I said that's enough." Seeing her dejected face, she asked, "What's the matter?"

Riona replied, "I am very weak, right, Mother?"

The Queen said, "No, you are very powerful. You are the most powerful warrior of the high rank, and you defeated that warrior who had not been defeated for the past four years."

Riona said, "But I am not as powerful as I should be."

The Queen asked, "Why do you think so?"

Riona said, "Why didn't Father come to watch my match?"

Hearing this, the color drained from the Queen's face, and she said, "He had to go to the forests for an important task; I told you this."

Riona said, "No, he refused."

The Queen, stammering in surprise, asked, "How did you...?"

Riona replied, "What difference does it make? When Father doesn't care about me, what difference will it make?"

The Queen said, "No, my child, don't say that."

Riona said, "Since childhood, I have done everything to get Father's attention, but it is never enough. At first, I was weak, but even now he doesn't pay attention to me."

As she said this, tears started flowing from her eyes. The Queen wiped her tears and said, "Warriors don't cry."

Riona asked, "Is it true that Father wanted a son instead of me, and I shattered all his hopes by being born?"

The Queen shouted loudly, "Hey! There is nothing like that. Where are all these thoughts coming from in your mind?"

Riona asked, "Then why doesn't he talk to me?"

The Queen immediately hugged Riona, and Riona started crying in her arms. Seeing her daughter's pain, tears came to the Queen's eyes. After crying for a long time, Riona finally fell asleep.

**A While Later:**

Riona woke up to a lot of noise. At this time, she was in her plain clothes, on her bed in her room. Riona got up from the bed, immediately put on her armor, took her sword, and went outside the room. As soon as she stepped outside, she realized what the noise was about.

It was the sound of people screaming and numerous explosions. Riona headed towards the noise. She saw that half of the palace was destroyed, and thousands of soldiers were lying injured, writhing in pain.

Some parts of the palace were on fire, and the sound of people screaming and the clashing of numerous weapons could be heard continuously. Seeing such devastation, Riona panicked. She immediately went to a wounded soldier and tried to carry him to a safe place, but the soldier said to her, "Princess... Princess, you must flee from here."

Riona asked him, "Why? What happened here? Who did this?"

The soldier replied, "It was Devstorm..." and then he died.

Riona looked through the broken parts of the palace and saw that not only the palace but everything around it, including houses, training grounds, and towers, was destroyed. Everywhere she looked, there was only destruction. Riona wondered how so much devastation could happen in just a few hours.

Suddenly, she found herself in a room. At first, Riona didn't understand what had just happened, but then she saw her mother lying on the ground. Riona immediately lifted her mother and asked, "Mother, what happened to you?"

The Queen quickly grabbed her and said, "You need to leave and seek help from other kingdoms. Tell them that the Water Kingdom is in great danger."

Hearing this, Riona became even more worried and asked, "Why? What has happened? Who did all this?"

The Queen said, "Devstorm has returned and has taken control of the entire Elite Rank. Our Elite Rank has turned against us. All our warriors are turning into monsters and attacking their own people."

Riona said, "But how is this possible?"

The Queen said, "There is no time to explain now. You must leave immediately and seek help from other kingdoms."

At that moment, there was a huge explosion in the room. The Queen stepped in front of Riona to save her, but the explosion was so massive that all the walls and the ceiling of the room blew away, causing debris from the upper rooms to fall on them. The Queen quickly sent a wave of lightning upwards, causing another explosion that blew away all the debris.

The Queen and Riona then looked at the place where the first explosion occurred. As the dust cleared, they saw a man standing there, emitting a strange black light. An unusual energy was emanating from this man, so powerful that Riona found it difficult to breathe just from his presence.

Seeing him, the Queen said, "Devstorm."

Then the man, Devstorm, said, "Queen, it has been a long time since we last met."

Devstorm's voice was so heavy that it silenced all the sounds in the atmosphere, as if nature itself feared him. As soon as Riona heard his voice, her heart trembled.

The Queen asked Devstorm, "Why are you doing all this, Devstorm?"

Devstorm replied, "I need something from you, something that only you and the King know about."

Hearing this, the Queen became angry and said, "You will never get it from us while we are alive."

Devstorm said, "Then I will extract it from your corpse."

After this, the Queen's body started to levitate, and waves of lightning began emanating from her body. She said to Devstorm, "Try me."

The Queen raised her hands towards Devstorm, and two waves of lightning shot out from her hands, attacking Devstorm. As soon as the lightning waves reached Devstorm, they were immediately absorbed by the black light emanating from his body. Then Devstorm raised one hand towards the Queen, releasing a black bolt of lightning that struck her, sending her flying away.

Seeing this, Princess Riona rushed to attack Devstorm, but as soon as she reached within 10 meters of him, she froze like a puppet. It felt as if her body had become a hundred times heavier, her heart had shrunk, and her veins were about to burst due to the pressure.

Seeing Riona, Devstorm said, "So you are Princess Riona."

He took a step towards Riona, and it felt as if an explosion had occurred in her body. She immediately coughed up blood and fell to the ground.

Devstorm said, "Unfortunately, seeing you, it doesn't seem like the future of the kingdom was going to be bright."

He took another step closer to her. Riona's veins swelled so much that they were clearly visible on her skin. Her eyes looked like they were about to pop out.

Then Devstorm took one more step closer, and now her veins turned blood-red, her skin turned completely pale, blood flowed like water from her eyes, nose, mouth, and ears, her bones made cracking sounds, and her muscles swelled.

Devstorm said, "I may never get what I want from your parents, but they will give it to me in exchange for your life."

At that moment, a lion made of golden light suddenly attacked Devstorm, pushing him far away from Princess Riona. Then, King arrived, with the golden light emanating from his body, and said to Devstorm, "Don't even think about laying a hand on my daughter."
