Lilith

I stared at her for a while then kept on sipping at my wine glass silently.

"Won't you ask how I did it?" She asked in surprise.

"Nope..." I replied nonchalantly.

"Why?..." She asked in surprise again.

"Something's are better left unknown to me" I replied with a satisfied smile as I had just took the last sip of my wine.

""What a wonderful wine in such an era... A poem needs to be written about this" I remarked with a hearty smile.

"Unpurified alpha beast blood, I always go for the best" the girl said proudly.

My smile instantly stiffened when I heard the name of what I just drank, "You're joking right?" I asked with uncertainty.

"Why would i?" The girl asked in confusion.

"You mean to say... You guys drink mutated beasts blood?" I asked in a shaky voice.

"It's really healthy, especially the unpurified ones" she shrugged.

I was dumbfounded.

She was just flipping the rules. "What's your name?" I asked and glanced at her.

"Lilith... But they called me the 'grim reaper' back on earth" she said with a creepy smile.

"Okay... I think I'd take my leave now" and without waiting for a reply, I quickly made my way to the door.

But when I reached out for the door knob, the door moved to another side of the room.

*Sigh*

"I should've left sooner..." I mumbled to myself, and turned around.

I saw Lilith holding a palm sized blue orb before her with a devilish grin plastered on her face.

"This is called a transformation orb, it is used in the transformation of a tower floor, that is why here looks so civilized and advanced. And It is bestowed upon the killer of a floor boss." Lilith explained with smile.

"That's cool... But can I leave now?" I asked, while pointing to the door which moved to another side of the room

"Let's play a little game first shall we?... If you get to take the orb from me, then you get to leave. And to make the game fair for the both of us, the use of abilities or weapons is banned.

"Are you in or out?" She asked with a creepy grin.

"Is this really necessary?" I asked with a sigh.

"Come on, don't be a kill joy" she replied and rolled her eyes at me.

"If you say so..." I said, and began rolling up the sleeves of the white shirt which I found myself in when I woke up here.

"That's more like it..." She chuckled at my actions, and stood up from her bed.

When I was done making myself comfortable in the white shirt and black joggers I found myself in when I woke up here, I walked up to her while cracking my knuckles.

She didn't wait for me to walk up to her and ran up to me quickly. She leaped into the air, and threw deadly kick at my head.

Her speed and nimbleness surprised me as she almost got me, I quickly tilted my head to side and grabbed her ankle. But before I could fling her away, her other foot which I didn't see coming slammed into my chest.

I felt my entire organ shook violently, as I flew back and slammed the wall behind me while coughing blood. I was about to cuss in pain when I saw her foot coming for my head.

I quickly ducked to the side as her foot slammed the wall where my head previously was. I looked to the spot where her foot landed, and saw a small crater below her foot.

She didn't give me time to recover, and quickly shoved her foot at my head again. I crossed my arms before me to shield my head but got knocked back by the force behind her kick.

This wasn't going in my favour and if I were to keep staying on defense, then I might as well not leave here today. Getting knocked back was a good thing as I was now distanced from her.

I quickly got on my feet and positioned my clenched fist before me. She might be good at karate, but two years of street fighting back in the states could make up for that.

She didn't rush at me when she saw I had taken a pose, but instead, circled me slowly like a predator about to ambush it's prey.

I couldn't predict her move because I had shut out all my passive skills due to the deal of making this 'game' fair. But I had natural enhanced instinct which gives me an idea of what would happen next.

The only reason she got me at first was because I underestimated her.

I inhaled deeply and left it to accumulate in my lungs for a few seconds, then exhaled slowly. This was to relax my mind and nerves which improves quicker movements and unpredictable counterattacks.

Her foot came at me again like cobra but I didn't dodge neither did I block it. I used my left arm to knock her ankle to the side, diverting her foots trajectory, then did a three sixty degree turn and closed in on her before throwing a punch at her belly.

She couldn't retreat due to one of her foot being suspended in air, and could only try blocking my punch with her palms.

But that was her mistake, because my punch was just a farce. I quickly grabbed her neck with my other hand and tackled her only standing foot, then slammed her hard on the floor.

And before she could recover from the hit, I pinned her two wrist above her head with my free hand while still grabbing her neck, and crouched above her to restrict her body movement under my weight.

"Are you satisfied now?" I asked and spat out blood to the side.

"You're pretty sharp, I like that" she said with her creepy smile, "My next target have the ability to cancel out magic around her... That'll be our first mission together".

"Then consider it a date" I said with a smile.
