Raid (2)

**Xi!**

The slithering creature felt Edward Pinnacle's gaze immediately as it slowly turned over to face the hunting squad's leader. And in a flash, the two scythe-like claw is thrust towards Edward with the speed of faster than an eye is capable of perceiving.

"WHISH! WHISH! WHISH!" three bolts powered by Exalt Force struck the slithering creature. The creature was in a state of disbelieves that a human is capable of attacking faster than itself.

"Xiiiii..." it was furious. Although this creature was not as strong as a Scale Champion, it was still a leader to 50 Scale Workers. And being a leader comes with a hint of pride. Feeling that the ego was trampled by a human that could die from a chop of its scythe, the Scale Nightmare loudly clucks using the distinct organ it has.

This made all the other Scale Workers outside of the camp mad as they suddenly launched an attack en masse. The number of Scale Workers reaches an unimaginable number the moment it appeared from all sides.

**Dang! Dang! Dang!**

**Dang! Dang! Dang!**

**Dang! Dang! Dang!**

"We're under... Oof!" the tower guards were going to shout, but two spikes as thick as a boar's teeth punctured their throat before they could finish. Another type of Scale creature soon appeared from the darkness.

It resembles a fusion between a Scale Champion and a Black Boar. Especially on the tooth and also the fur wrapping around the creature itself.

Luckily, it didn't take them too long to found out about what happened. The call to the arm is executed immediately as more bonfires were lit all around the outpost. With such a glaring light illuminating the entire battlefield, there was no place for them to hide.

"Kill them!" Edward Pinnacle shouts as he fired a few energy bolts toward the incoming Scale Workers. Everyone is getting a fair share of targets, including the outpost's chef, as he too was forced to join the battle.

**Xiii...** the clucking sound made from a distinct organ is heard once again. And on the next moment, a few hunters fell or injured as they were attacked by some flying projectiles.

"Teeth? When did the Black Boar know how to shoot its fangs out?" some hunters find it weird, but it was not the time for them to bring up a question. Staying idle is equivalent to seeking death right now.

"Battle! Battle!" Edward Pinnacle continues to shout. Everyone was solely dependent on him and his Psychic Weave to connect and keep their spirit together against the ambush.

"Whoosh!" a fire arrow was shot into the sky once every few minutes.

Half an hour later, their situation was much worst than previously. Half of the hunters are either dead or dragged away by the Scale Workers.

Even Edward Pinnacle is on his edge as he exhausted most of his Exalt Force by firing nonstop at the incoming enemies.

"Leader, we're going to die here, correct?" one of the hunters trembled as he pulled the bowstring without an arrow nocked.

"We won't. The Orcs will be here soon. We just need to hold until then." Edward replied. He knew that it was pointless for him to answer them at this moment.

"Xi!"

One Scale Nightmare appeared. Soon, it became two. More and more appeared as the abomination soldiers gathered and surrounded the leftover hunters in a circle.

Then, a slightly bigger Scale Nightmare moves forward. From the three scars on its body, it is evident that this was the same creature Edward's surprise attack reached when the battle had just started.

It looks like it had a grudge on Edward Pinnacle.

'Sh*t. To think that three bolts are not enough to kill this monster." Edward Pinnacle cursed as he guesses that they might be unable to make it out of this situation.

"We'll die... We'll all die here!" one of the hunters panicked. Losing his calmness and concentration, he ran out of their encircling without a weapon in his hand. And in a flash, he was beheaded by one of the Scale Nightmares surrounded them.

"XI!"

Like announcing their victory, the Scale Workers marched forward as the hunters were getting ready to fight to their death. But then, a miracle came as an individual in silver armor top charged into the battlefield.

He was roaring like a beast as the Exalt Force gathered in both of his fists wrapped in the rare Abominaculm Metal.

"GRUN-THAR!" a shockwave crater about seven or eight meters with Tarzul in the center is created when he landed on the ground. All the Scale Workers within the shockwave were engulfed by the pyrokinesis flames as it burns them to cinder.

One of the Scale Nightmare ended up as a victim of Tarzul's deadly flames. Furthermore, his arrival to the battlefield surprises the bigger Scale Nightmare from keeping the Psychic Weave to maintain the mind control.

"Tarzul is here! We're saved!" the hunters almost cried when Tarzul came into the battle like a god of war. For the first time in their eyes, this Orc that stands before them seems so heroic in their opinion. His silver-colored chest armor looks even better than Yzak's one-handed armguard out of sudden.

"Tarzul! There's more of them! Careful!" Edward Pinnacle warned the Orc Warrior as he raised his Wild-Bow at one of the Scale Nightmare that tried to escape.

"Everyone, fight! Help has arrived!" he said.

"Human friends, we fight! Together! Grun-Thar!!!" Tarzul shouts. Accompanying his screaming was the appearance of a hammer in his right arm. Flames created by the Psychic Power immediately wrapped the head of his hammer as Tarzul took a step forward.

"You'll stay!" fierce flames that are strong enough to turn the Scale Workers into cinderblocks spreads across the battlefield. For every stroke of the hammer, ten to twenty Scale Workers will lose its life.

"Keep the abomination soldiers here! Do not let them escape!" Edward Pinnacle focused his attack on the gap between the walls.

"Orcs! Attack!" Tarzul immediately ordered. Six Orc Warriors soon joined the battle as they blocked the soldiers from escaping through where they came.

"XI!" for the first time, the Scale Nightmare stares hatefully at Tarzul. But what it gets from Tarzul was a hammer straight to its head.
