He soon remembered that Dean is the only son of the patriarch's first son but since he lacked magic, no one felt intimidated by his presence and ignored his existence. His life was not in danger neither was he targeted by rivals and stepbrothers and uncles. By law, he is the next in line of becoming the family patriarch after his father replaces his grandfather so now he unlocked magic, the security place around him had become even tighter as they feared that many would try to take his life now that he is unable to protect himself and they were right!

Derik appreciated the effort these people put in the keep him safe but he still couldn't understand why the windows were left unguarded! Derik instantly sniffed a figure jump in through the veranda outside.
