As he said my eyes lit up brightly since I was an orphan and even though Grandma occasionally made me some delicious delicacies. But they were only occasional so Village Chief treating me is a rare opportunity for me to fill my stomach till my heart is content.

As I thought so I asked the waiter to bring us the restaurant's menu book. He quickly brought it to me as Took it browse through it, while Village chief just continued to look at me with a smile.

Opening the menu I saw a bunch of items.

" Ten year old blood praying Mantis soup.

100 year old flying Mantis soup.

Ten year old snake bladder tea.

100 year old Red eyed python.

Ten year old Giant Bear grilled paw.

100 year old Cold wolf grill.

Ten year old Gray Tiger meat pot.

100 year old Iron Winged Eagle meat pot"

There are few more food items in the menu but they are generally divided into these four Grill, meat pot, Tea and Soup with the spirit beast parts used within it will change.

There are not many 100 year spirit beast food items here since most of them are transported to the spring city, you can only eat the low level 100 year beasts here, for better ones you have to go to spring city restaurants and enjoy it.

I quickly brushed through the items and ordered.

" Get me one 100 year Grey Winged Snake soup and one 100 year Red Striped Tiger meat pot."

The waiter nodded and took the order while I chatted about some battle experience and forest survival with Village chief.

After 10 minutes he brought us our meals. I first tasted Red striped tiger meat pot which was very tasty and slightly spicy totally enriching my taste buds, while the Gray winged snake soup was slightly sour at the same time it tasted sweet this mixture made me not to extricate myself out of this delightful fantasy.

Finishing our meals we headed outside to look for a carriage which I seem to think that Village chief has already booked because he is not like looking for carriages but like taking me towards one of those carriages so I just silently followed him. After a few minutes we came across the same type of carriage we used to get here. Village chief greeted the driver and had a small talk while I just looked around seeing many people coming out of the market, looks like this is the time when most of the Spirit warriors inside the forest come out. By the way its nearly evening now and sun is in his stting position so we need to quickly get going.

As I continued to run my thoughts, Village chief has finished his small talk and is beckoning me to get inside the carriage. Getting inside I sat on a comfortable position as the carriage started to move, while I continued to think about how to efficiently use my first spirit abilities in battle, occasionally I would ask some opinion from Village chief, who has a sunny smile on his face which showed no signs of disappearing. This smile was one his face from the time I told about my spirit ability to him. He smiled and pointed me some better options and told me not to pursue beauty because in battle that beautiful attack you are pursuing might not be as good as someone straight forward attack. I nodded to him and got back to my musing.

After an hour vlcarriage slowed down. Feeling this I opened my eyes to look around only to see many carriages are standing in a straight line behind us. Watching the front I saw their are many carriages ahead same as the ones behind us, who were entering through a big gate besides the wall, at the top of the gate there were words.

" Spring City."

Seeing this name. I got excited as I knew the opportunity for the protagonist like me is coming. Slowly after 20 Minutes it was our turn to enter. The driver gave the gold coin to the guard who after checking to see if there is anything inappropriate let us enter.

Entering the City I saw the grand scene of the Road filled with people, It was like 1000's of people gathering together to jam the road. There were houses on both sides of the road, there was tall tower on the right side of the city while there was some thing like a castle on left. In the middle of city there was a statue of a person with a Eagle having sharp glints in its eyes, above his head and 7 spirit stars behind him which was one grade lower then Grandma, he should be Spirit Emperor level powerhouse.

Asking the Village chief about who this senior is I got to know that he was one of the top generals frok the side of the First Rising Sun Emperor, he was given the title of duke and was entrusted a fief as reward for his merits.

Nodding to Village chief, I bowed towards the statue as a show of respect for the ones who fought on the frontlines so that us humans could continue to grow peacefully.

The carriage continued to move until it reached the Cities main market and dropped us there. The Cities market is on a way higher scale than the one near the forest. There are many people selling 100 hundred spirit beast hides, Some stores are selling meats, some shops sold products created based on these spirit beasts like Sticks for elderly which are created by the Bones of the spirit beast, Clothes and leather bags created by their skin, masks, etc.

After Village Chief paid the driver I caught his hand and dragged him into the market while he was first takem a back since I have never done so, but seeing my excited he just chuckled thinking this should be how children at my age should be, so he just followed my lead with smile.

I dragged him through the whole market at first I was excited feeling that as the protagonist of this world I would definitely meet some heaven defying medicine that will let me directly let me reach spirit sovereign level or some weapon that possesses divinity inside it that is divine weapon, or if my luck is better I might get God's inheritance. But as time passed by while I moved across the market searching for something good I didn't find anything, I continued to persist with a serious look but until we reached the end I really didn't find anything making me feel decadent and gloomy.

Seeing my gloomy face Village chief hurriedly asked.

" What happened do you feel pain, did something happen."

I gloomily replied." Nothing, I just felt that there was nothing good in the market, so slightly disappointed."

while I said this to Village Chief.

" I am the protagonist, so why can'tI get anything good even if you don't give me some divine items, you can still give some small medicine that can increase my spiritpower like by 5 levels or some weapon that could let me kill a spirit general, but why? why didn't I find anything like that."

" If I am not the protagonist of this, so why the fuck are trying to write my story, you idiot author."

I cursed within my heart.

Me the Great author is benevolent enough to ignore all your curses but if you little continue to not differ good from bad I will let you know what hell means.

While they talked they unconsciously reached their destination taht is the Spring Pagoda branch of the Spring City.

The pagoda was tower with 6 layers, when I asked why 6 layers? Village chief answered saying that this represents the strength of the General who has the same rights inside the pagoda that means since the first owner was a Spirit Emperor level expert the Empire also assigned a 6 layers pagoda to his fief, which is under his control since the city lord must always be one grade higher then the people from other organizations this is the rule set by the Emperor.

6 Layers represent 6th level of authority within the spirit pagoda which os also the compensation for various organizations since the person will not have a hogh enough authority. Although various organizations are very powerful but in front of the Empire they still have to bow their heads so they still follow the rules set by the empire and every city lord level or higher expert will have a part of authority within the variois organizations within his fief, outside this his words won't matter.

After Entering the Pagoda we directly wlmoved towards the 2nd floor, why 2nd floor because that's where Chen Rong asked us to come.
