'WHAT?!'

"Did you come to pick me up? To send me home?" Willy couldn't help himself when he heard the Prophet's words.

"Calm down, you human. It's just projection magic," said the White Deer. He closed his eyes and shook his head.

Willy was disappointed and felt stupid. He couldn't control himself because of his desire to go home.

"I'd love to talk to you directly, but there's a rule that forbids me from engaging and communicating directly with humans," said Blair's projection.

Willy wondered why Blair wanted to see him. Willy should have been the one looking for her.

"I received word from God that a transmigator came to the world that I 'watched'. Uniquely, that transmigator has no blessing at all."

'Yes, your god is crazy.'

Willy wanted to convey his heart. But the person before him now was a projection. What could he do?

"God also told me, the main purpose of the transmigator coming to this world was to look for me. If we meet, I must send him back to God."

'Right. You already know that. Why not just come directly, instead of meeting me in the form of a projection. Not to mention the messenger was a deer.'

Actually, the task was very simple but completing it was made to be deathly difficult.

"I don't know what happened between you and God. But one thing you need to know, William. You won't be able to find me. No creature in this world can. My existence is a secret and has never been recorded by history. You failed before you even started."

"Bastard god," Willy muttered. His tone was low, but the White Deer that stood next to Willy heard him perfectly clear. Willy's fists clenched tightly.

"Seeking an unheard of existence is impossible. Therefore, I made you one offer. To be more precise, a deal." Blair's lips in the projection seemed to smile.

An uneasy feeling rose in Willy's chest. No wind, no rain. It was just a mysterious figure that came in the form of a projection, and offered him a deal. It smelled a bit fishy.

"I'll tell you where I am, on one condition. You had to carry out the 10 Missions I gave you."

"I see. So, God and the Prophet are the same. They both like to make things more complicated," said Willy. This time it wasn't whispered or mumbled. The White Deer heard it but chose to ignore it.

"The White Deer standing next to you, Ceryn, will tell you about your first assignment. Of course, you can decline this deal. But I'm sure you don't have much choice, William."

After that, the blue projection light disappeared, and so did the magic circle. But Willy's emotions had not faded. He felt toyed with.

"Now I understand why so many people choose to be atheists."

For Willy, what Blair offered was not a deal. It was a command that Willy had to carry out if he wanted to get out of this world. From the start, Willy had no choice.

Willy laid on the ground. His hands covered his face, then he groaned as he vented the emotions that were crumbled in his chest. Meanwhile, Ceryn, who was observing Willy's behavior, remained silent.

They stayed there for quite a while. Ceryn, who felt that it had given Willy enough time to think, spoke up.

"Human, I don't have much time waiting for you. So decide. Accept or not?"

Willy sat up. He lifted his head to see Ceryn watching him. "What do you think? Do I have a choice?" Willy then stood up.

"Tell me. What's my first assignment?" Willy asked.

Ceryn was silent for a moment like it had something on his mind. "Go to Westerne. In case you didn't know, Westerne was the capital of Camelot, before it fell into Midgard's hands. Save Uther Pendragon's legacy."

'Damn it, what's this again?'

"White Deer, uh, I mean Ceryn. Can you be more specific? What do you mean by 'legacy'?" Willy frowned.

"I'm here as a messenger. Not an interpreter. Find out yourself, Human," Ceryn waltzed away.

Willy could only raise an eyebrow at those words. In his mind, all beings who have power act the same. Arbitrarily.

As Ceryn was about to leave, its footsteps stopped. "Oh, yes. I forgot something important." Ceryn turned to face Willy.

"Since you have nothing, I will give you a little present. After you exit this forest, 10 km to the northeast is a small town called Flanders. Go to the city center, there is a secondhand seller. There is a Grimoire for sale there. The owner is too stupid to recognize it. Given that you don't have any comrades, I think the grimoire will be very useful."

After hearing the word 'comrade', Willy remembered Braun, who he had left alone.

"Ceryn! I need help. My comrade is fighting alone against a group of elven warriors. Please help me save him!" cried Willy.

There was no reaction to Ceryn as he just looked at Willy with a cold stare. "I don't think it's any of my business. There's no obligation for me to help you. So try it yourself. Or just leave the person."

Willy was getting irritated with Ceryn's behavior. "Could you be a little more cooperative?"

Ceryn didn't answer Willy.

Willy sighed in annoyance. "I'm sure there's something you guys want from me. You know what I want, and know I don't have much choice. That doesn't mean I'm going to go along with you, though. Don't think you can take advantage of me."

There was no smoke without fire. Willy knew there must be something they wanted from him. Otherwise, how could they come up to Willy and offer him a deal?

But Ceryn still insisted on refusing.

"You've made the deal," Ceryn replied.

'Damn deer!'

Willy was getting angry. He was tired of being toyed with.

"If you want me to keep this deal, help me! Or I'll never do the job you gave me. And you guys won't get what you want!"

Cheryl was silent for a long time. What Willy said was true. There was something they wanted from Willy.

"Okay, I'll help you." In the end, Ceryn complied with Willy's request.

Willy smiled triumphantly.

Ceryn walked over to Willy. "Why are you so desperate to save someone you just met? We already told you the location of a much useful grimoire. It's better to leave that person behind. You really are weird."

"It may seem strange to you. But for me, the world is too big to navigate alone. I need other people to survive."

Ceryn didn't seem to understand Willy's words. For a Spiritual Beast that lived alone for thousands of years like it, Willy's words were difficult to understand.

"So, how are you going to help me? You won't beat them straight up?" Willy asked.

"Blair told me not to get directly involved with the affairs of the living. So I'll distract them, you'll beat the elves."

When he heard Ceryn's words, Willy's eyebrows rose and thought came to mind.

'Bastard.'
