Long ago, there was a legend in the local town about a vigilante who moved every night to hunt down every single tainted soul he ever saw. No one knew who he was or what he was, as he always wore a gas mask at all times

The local police didn't bother to look into this incident at first, but everything changed when the vigilante began taking away the lives of his victims in the most gruesome way imaginable.

The first victims whose lives he took were a family with a daughter, but the most cruel aspect wasn't how he viciously ended their lives; it was leaving the poor daughter alone without her parents

Six months after the first tragedy occurred, the madness and gruesomeness of this vigilante became even scarier than before, as he did not hesitate to decapitate humans and sever their limbs.

The government was put in a state of concern when they found out about the gruesomeness of this vigilante. They believed that no one's life should be taken, even for the most severe crimes committed. As a result, they took action within a few weeks.

A special force police corps was engaged to stop the madness of the shadow vigilante and bring him to justice, utilizing every available resource and mobilizing multiple squads. Police units throughout the city were on the move to apprehend him.

But even after all the help and resources they received, they never succeeded even once, and the vigilante became even more elusive and vicious than before. More than four police squads were heavily injured during the mission

Until a mysterious package arrived at the police station under the codename "Ojou" [Young Lady in Japanese], which contained a file about the vigilante, they still couldn't figure out who was behind the gas mask vigilante, despite the file providing detailed information about the case.

The only thing they ever discovered was the codename he used when carrying out his vigilante.

With this vigilante is just like a vicious beast, the police proceed with this mission to uncover the truth behind the vigilante with extreme caution. They cannot allow any police officers to get injured or killed in their pursuit of uncovering the dark vigilante.

No one could stop him, as he left a trail of a vicious blood behind his way when his legend has lived from a long time ago to this very day.

"2802! 2802! Burglar in progress on 55 and Broadway, considered armed and dangerous!" A police voice could be heard over a communication device, alongside the sound of a running motorcycle engine.

"Ahhh.. It's always the same night ever since" A pale figure with white hair and red eyes sat down on his motorbike, simultaneously eating a doughnut and sipping a cup of coffee, "As long as there is a corrupted souls, the night won't change a bit" A man replied with his words through the earpiece.

"Yeah.. yeah, but sometimes i will need to take a break for a while" The vigilante stretched his body while clicking on his earpiece, and a gas mask appeared on his face from behind the helmet.

"Crime and tainted souls never take a break Chronos.." The person behind the communication tried to ensure that Chronos wouldn't slack off, "Ugh.. you always told me about that Noir, we definitely need a vacation after this" Chronos tried to negotiate with Noir about their vacation and break.

"And who do you think going to keep an eye on this city?" Noir spoke in a cold tone, knowing that he wouldn't be fooled by Chronos, "I don't know, maybe Luna and Ember could act as a replacement for us?" Chronos yawned after talking.

"And letting the cops easily catch those two in training? i never know that you're this cruel" Noir spoke in a mocking tone to Chronos knowing that Luna and Ember were still in their training phase.

"Mppffttt, never though that you could throw a mockery sarcasm on me Noir" Chronos laughed it off as the communication device turned on, and the voice of a police officer could be heard from it, "All cops immediately engaged from their post to the coordinate provided, no slacking off as Chronoir could be arrived here anytime soon!"

Chronos smiled widely upon hearing the voice from the communication device, "you hear that!?" Chronos shouted to Noir, "Loud and clear, engaged to the scene!!" Noir ordered Chronos to move from behind the scene as Chronos started revving his engine, and in an instant, he departed to the location, moving fast like a gust of wind on his bike.

"Let's start the night!!"

In a secret location far from the crime scene, a bustling headquarters remained in contact with the special agent nearby.

"Miss, i detected an unknown entity coming closer in a highspeed, i believed this is the Chronoir that we're after" A woman monitored the nearby area within range while relaying information to the person on the other end of the communication.

"Copy that! let's make sure we stopped him tonight from his madness" A girl stood at the edge of a rooftop, patiently waiting for her target.

Her hair is as white as snow blown by the night wind under the moonlight, while she prepares all of her equipment, "Ahh one thing, be careful, as this is the Chronoir from the shadows vigilante legend we don't know if we could stopped him or not" The person behind the monitor and map is doubting whether they can stop Chronoir or not.

"We have to, whether we could or not, we definitely have to stopped him!" The girl appears to be emotionally affected by this vigilante as she closes her eyes and clenches her hand, "So there won't be any victim of his evil deed"

"i bet you're one of his victim right? Ojou? or should i call you Miyu?" The girl in the monitor room is spot on in guessing the truth about Miyu, but Miyu doesn't seem to want to answer the question, "Maybe you want to keep an eye on the map Chisato.." Miyu avoided the question and even went as far as mocking Chisato.

"Hey, don't call me Chisato!, i told you to call me Yami when we're on our duty right?" Chisato complained that Miyu had called her by her real name, "Even thought that you're the one started to call me by my name?" Even though their positions were quite far apart, Chisato could sense a smug expression on Miyu's face.

Both Miyu and Chisato laughed at each other when Chisato noticed that Chronoir was nearby, "X-117, Y-85, Z-20 quick! onto that position now! Chronoir is on the move!"

Miyu nodded, and her eyes glowed red as she used her powers to jump from one rooftop to another, moving in the blink of an eye to reach her target.

"Chronoir! Your playtime is over!"

BOOM!!!

An explosion of a brick wall occurred beside the bank, and a group of five people armed with a gun were seen carrying the stolen items.

"Good work guys, that was a lot easier than i thought it's gonna be" The gang leader looked around cautiously while praising his team, but noticed that one of his team members was running late, carrying a pot with a green plant.

"Look guys, i found a green bush" The late guy spoke to the leader with sparkling eyes filled with pride.

"I like your work ethic and devotion to us Edgar, it was an inspiration for us all" The gang leader praised him with a sarcastic look on his face. "Proceed with caution boys, we never know when are those police going to appear"

All of them continued along their route, ensuring that no one followed them during their escape.

CLATTER!! CLATTER!!

A rattling chain was thrown in the direction of two people at the very back, catching their legs and dragging them into the dark alley.

The moment they were gone, the sound of flesh being ripped and torn by something sharp could be heard from the dark alley where they had been dragged before.

"Arghhhhhh....!!!" The sound of a person in excruciating agony could be heard nearby, with blood splattered everywhere.

When the leader realized that his two friends were gone and killed, he became cautious and proceeded to search for the murderer of his friends

"Cowardice! Come out the shadows and show yourself" the leader of the gang provoked whoever was in the shadows and fired shots at every dark corner.

BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!

But it doesn't seem to be working when he realized he had only shot a shadow of the entity before a chain came flying out from the dark alley, striking the gang leader straight in the face and knocking him far away into the wall.

BAM!!!

When their leader is forcefully thrown back against the wall and knocked out, the remaining gang members begin to falter, and their nightmare has appeared within the shadow in the dark alley.

Revealing a mysterious figure wearing a gas mask, dressed in a hooded black coat, while wielding a big, intimidating scythe covered in blood.

"Finally, you've shown yourself!" one of the gang member shouted and rushed straight to the mysterious figure to fight with him.

And at the moment when he swung his fist, the mysterious figure swiftly blocked the attack with martial arts, ducked down, then swept his legs and spun around before stomping on his face which ultimately knocking him unconscious.

Witnessing all of his friends being defeated, Edgar, the clumsy gang member is now left alone, face to face with the mysterious figure, shaking his entire body as he takes out his gun and points it at the mysterious figure.

"Looks like it's just you and me Shaky" The mysterious entity spoke in a robotic voice and mocking tone before turning its head and looking at him

"Take it easy, i'm not gonna hurt you... Much" Edgar could feel a chilling sensation down his spine as the person in front of him began to draw out a sword and swiftly moved to strike him down in the blink of an eye.

CLANG!!!

The sound of two metals clashing echoed through the air. When Edgar opened his eyes, he couldn't believe what he saw—a girl with a horn on her face, standing before him.

She held off the scythe of the shadow entity just as it was about to reach Edgar "I finally found you Chronoir!" The girl's eyes glowed red with an aura full of rage and anger as she finally confronted the vigilante.

Miyu drew her sword and struck through the person standing right in front of her.
