24. Return

For the last two weeks Bane and Samuel have been sparing with each other everyday, and the result of the spar would always end with Samuel's loss.

But Samuel wasn't disheartened by this , as he wasn't hoping for a victory in the first place , but it did help him advance his swordsmanship by leaps and bounds.

If Samuel really thought about defeating an 'Eight Star' Magic swordsman like Bane ,then he really needs to question his sanity.

"Are you really leaving" Bane inquired.

Samuel gave a nod and replied.

"The two months duration my master gave me has come to an end."

"I see, would you mind if I join you , you see right now I have nowhere to go." Bane asked while smiling sheepishly.

Samuel gave a deep thought before he answered

" I don't really mind about that , but I can't be sure about my master"

"l'll immediately leave if he doesn't want me there" Bane quickly refuted.

Listening to Bane's explanation, Samuel didn't bother saying anything and left the place to meet his master while Bane following him from behind.

"Ahh! you finally came, don't tell me you were laxing off for the last couple of months" Hemdall grumbled while looking at the face of his student, he hasn't seen for about last two month's.

"I haven't Master, I even defeated a ' 5 star Monster ' in my journey ".

"Hmph!,What's the big deal with that ?" Hemdall growled " I bet it's a Monster which lacked any basic human intelligence"

'Well, it did have basic intelligence' but Samuel kept this thought to himself, as he knew his shameless master would try finding some other random faults in it .

"And who's this brat ?" Hemdall asked while pointing at Bane who was standing right behind Samuel.

"Ahh!, hello respected senior I am Samuel's best friend who accompanied him through his journey" Bane quickly shoved Samuel behind and greeted hemdall with a sheepish smile on his face.

Looking at this scene , Samuel felt very confused, 'Best Friend? , Accompanied in his journey?, didn't they just meet couple of weeks ago'

"Whoever you may be ? Why are you here...." Before Hemdall could even finish his question, Bane suddenly interrupted him.

"I heard a lot about you from Samuel, he couldn't stop mentioning how marvellous of genius his master is"

"And I saw Samuel's monstrous abilities first hand, and I grasped how incredible his master must be to raise such a talented disciple." Bane quickly added.

Samuel almost spat blood, Listening to Bane spouting so much nonsense. ' I never mentioned anything about my master, nor do you know anything about him, there's no way my master would fell for something like this.'

But contrary to Samuel's expectations, Bane's every word lifted already prideful Hemdall's ego high above in the sky.

"Hu hu hu.. You're right, I was indeed one of the greatest geniuses born in this continent" Hemdall said boastingly.

"Respected Senior, I have no place to stay, I have no choice but to beg you, to let me stay here for a while" Bane said while giving a deep 90 degree bow.

Hemdall made a soft expression on his face, which freaked Samuel out before he replied.

"Of course , how can I ignore my fellow junior swordsman, Follow me I'll show you to your room"

Bane quickly clasped both his hand.

"You are truly as magnanimous as I heard"

Bane replied and followed Hemdall from behind.

Before leaving he didn't forget to give a sly smile and a wink towards Samuel.

Looking at the scene in front of him Samuel could only shake his head and though ' Master might have even adopted him as his own son if this continued for any longer'

Quickly a month passed by, and for Samuel there was not much of a change in Samuel's life, but instead of him, practicing his reflexes which he mastered quite a while ago, he's now focused on training his sword.

While having constant duels with both hemdall and Bane consecutively, while the result of the duel was already determined, as all of it resulted in his loss but he could see a constant progress he was making slowly but surely.

He felt that the bridge , of a ' Five Star Knight' has become excessively close. and he would leap past it thanks to all the arduous experience that he encountered.

He even witnessed the duel between Hemdall and Bane, and he even saw and felt the huge difference between them and him.

It was the first time he saw what a magic swordsman is capable of, as he saw different physical enhancement magic all over Bane's body and a sneak and vibrant streak of lightning engulfing his entire black great sword.

But the result of that duel came out quickly with just 3 sword strikes, and resulted in Hemdall's victory.

Hemdall's mastery in swordsmanship has long surpassed ' Nine star Knight ' Rank. Despite being unable to use aura , he defeated Bane with pure swordsmanship. Even though he was injured, he didn't stop practicing and weilding his sword.

Hemdall's Swordsmanship was deeply engraved Samuel's mind, it was basic swordsmanship, just like what Samuel practice's but there was something different which Samuel can't really put his fingers on.

While watching his disciple trying his best to imitate his swordsman , hemdall walked towards him and said

"Don't bother , It's something I'll teach you in future, but it has a few conditions."

"Conditions!, What are the Conditions ? " Samuel asked.

"I'll need the permission of Vulcunus Sword Academy, before I could teach you."

Listening to his master's reasoning, Samuel immediately understood 'It belongs to Vulcunus Academy'.

He didn't bother asking about this topic anymore, as he completely understood his master's predicament. It's a swordsmanship taught omly to the students of the Academy, and Currently Samuel was clearly not one of those.

" I was planning on getting the permission after you become a bit more stronger, but I think we will get it a bit earlier thanks to certain someone."

Hemdall said while pointing towards Bane who was deeply immersed training his reflexes on the machine built by hemdall.

"You see if I went to Vulcunus Sword Academy, they will just politely greet me and sent me away without hearing me out. "

"Who would be willing to listen a crippled genius who has already lost his glory."

"But in that tournament there might be quite a few influencal elders who I might be able to strike a deal with, there might even be few I am already acquainted with."

"Are we leaving for Sparta Kingdom" Samuel asked after giving a deep though.

"Oh! ,so you know where the current Tournament is taking place" Hemdall said with a Surprised look on is face before nodding his head.

"You're Right, we will depart in about a month, I'll also try to teach as much as I could to that idiot, so that he won't bring any shame on me. "

After finishing what he has to say Hemdall left.

and Samuel lifted his sword as he could already see the path upahead of him a ' Five Star Knight'.
