Even though this one is my favorite so far >~>) (Also I'm trying my best to find grammatical errors before posting new content, working in other novels to expand my insanity and doing all of this on a phone so please be patient. And if I start dishing out novels at a faster pace [hopefully in a few weeks{20th-28th Aug, 2021}] it's because I came back from my military exercise >~>)

Iremn, Academy of Mages, Familiars Sanctuary

Seraph stayed on the branch for several days, recalling the past few days wondering about humans. She missed Hendriks even though he was old and grouchy he still took her in while coated in blood. She just couldn't understand Olivia's reactions. Seraph's tails were drooping over the sides of the branch she rested on. Then while she was in deep thought a snowflake dropped on her nose, and a few more after that. She did a little fox sneeze in response to the cold and looked over at an ice wolf laying on the ground looking up at Seraph playfully. Seraph's tails began to wag about before she decided to jump down and play with the ice wolf. The ice wolf would make snow wherever it trails off to dodge Seraph's pounces. Soon Seraph catches up and pounces on top of the ice wolf both crashing into the snow and laughing.

'What's your name smol one?' The ice wolf would shake her fur removing some of the snow but keeping the icy look on her fur.

'I call myself Seraph, how about yours?' Seraph would bap the snow repeatedly to figure out what this cold substance was.

'The humans call me ice wolf, I don't have a name for myself though.' She'd swirl the snow with her paw, giving off a little sadness within her words.

'If the humans won't name you I will instead.' At that response the ice wolf pounced Seraph licking her face with her cold tongue

'Thank you, thank you and thank you!' Seraph recoiled her head back but it was no use for the happy wolf.

'Alright alright gimme some space girl.' Seraph escapes the clutches of the ice wolf and ponders a name while looking at her and the snow.

'How does Rinhana sound?' Seraph thought it was a somewhat fitting name. A surge of purple mana flows towards Rinhana making her jump out of surprise. After a bit the mana dissipated and Rinhana was a little taller now. Her icicle-like fur had a purple tint, which also left its mark in the snow.

'Wow I feel weird right now, but cool. Pretty weird and cool, yea that sounds right. Now gimme a hug!' Before Seraph could flee she was pounced once again, helpless against the hug of Rinhana the icewolf.

Seraph decided not to fight back against the hug and just enjoyed the moment.

Gladifer Empire, northern walls, two kilometers away

The blue marked was dragging the corpses of a few humans he passed by. After making the distance he needed, the blue marked dropped the seven bodies. Dark magical energies formulate around him, then darting towards the bodies. The bodies begin to convulse and tear itself apart leaving a bloody mess. Out of the blood razor claws the size of a longsword rise up and dig into the dirt before it. What came after the claws was bone connected by black veins and torn muscle tissue. Seven more of these necrohorrors crawl out from the blood laid across the grass, each one with the head of a different animal. Each necrohorror looks towards blue marked with curiosity then over at the walls, where they smell the scent of the living.

'Consume, multiply and destroy.' The blue marked pointed towards the walls, where all seven necrohorrors vigorously rushed towards, making slapping sounds of the bloodied flesh over their bodies. One after another makes a gurgling roar as they charge.

From the wall's vantage point several guards could be seen playing a game of cards. Their captain would sit his back against the tower as he had one leg on the other side of the curtain defenses. The captain proceeded to smoke as he watched his soldiers enjoy themselves until the roar below caught his attention. As he turned towards his left a sharp pain struck his leg, blood splatters everywhere below his now non-existent left leg. The captain screamed out in pain before getting butchered by claws climbing up the side of the wall. All the soldiers pulled out their weapons and struck the monster before them, the monster took each strike as it ripped its way through the soldiers creating more blood against the wall until more necrohorrors emerged from the blood. An observer on the top of the tower saw this site and felt nauseated. He took a hammer and slammed the bell with all his might over and over until his world turned red.

The blue marked watched his work until the bell was hit, at that time he walked forward vanishing into the distortion in the air. The sounds of more bells across the wall echoed across the city.

The northern part of the city delved into chaos as necrohorrors filled the streets by the dozens as they multiplied. Each bloody kill increased their numbers making the military hesitant to fully engage these things at close combat. Several mages managed to take out a few but more still came from the inside of civilian homes. However even through the blood and chaos the elderly and young were still able to escape through such chaos. The necrohorrors paid no attention towards these people, only the soldiers and those above fifteen years of age.

Iremn, Academy of Mages, Familiars Sanctuary

Seraph and Rinhana would be having a snowball fight along with a few other familiars. Several minutes into the snowball fight an alarm blared over their laughter. Many of the familiars hide while some stand where they are. Seraph and Rinhana look at each other then towards the door where the noise of screams and magic comes forth. Closer and closer the sounds of death come until a loud thud hits the door stopping all the noise. The moments passed felt like hours waiting for something horrifying to smash through the door. The door slowly opens along with a corpse falling to the ground without a head. Two sets of demonic eyes beamed through the darkness of the hallway behind two ironclad knights two meters tall with defined muscular features from the red marked knight and defined feminine muscular features from the orange marked. The red marked walked into the room without a care of the other familiars going straight for Seraph. The orange marked looks about the room until it sees Rinhana and walks towards her. Both knights stand one meter away from both of them before kneeling. The red marked speaks first looking towards Seraph.

'I am red, we were supposed to be your envoy over at the maw. However you awakened earlier than anticipated which seems to have caused issues with your state of existence. We are here to bring you home where you were meant to be.' Red looks towards Rinhana then at orange.

'This one is marked by the awakened, we must bring her with us to keep awakened joyful.' Orange puts her metal glove out before Rinhana, she was hesitant at first but there was something alluring to oranges gesture so she rested her head against the hand getting ear rubs.

The

'Agreed, awakened, we must take you and your friend to the safety of our kingdom. We shall explain in much more detail once safety is ensured.' Red would extend his hand out which is ignored due to the fact Seraph pounced his shoulder.

'I don't know who you peeps are, but so long as you don't betray me like these humans I'm fairly certain I can trust you.' Seraph just stood on his shoulder, watching Rinhana get cradled by Orange

'Betrayal against yourself is not possible through our people rest assured you will find purpose and enjoyment within your real home.' Red walks forward until the air distorts, as Seraph enters the distortion reality bends as if watching the memories of the world flow at all angles. This process goes on until desert sand ran beneath their very feet and a wicked castle stood before them. The walls seemingly reach the storming clouds above lightning flashing out detail on the walls. A large metal gate opens leading into a dark abyss of magical energies. Seraph felt no malice from the gate so she decided to go along with it. Rinhana was apprehensive but stayed strong with Seraph.

Both Red and Orange take the familiars through the dark abyss of magical energies until they make it to the other side. On the other side of the gate was a city of grand proportions. The streets before them were bustling with humans, demi-humans, elves, dwarfs, demons and angels. Each one wears different variations of clothing while buying vendor goods or chatting in a group. Others were guards doing their patrols with one giving a few coins to a group of kids. Familiars were also in abundance around the area, many flying above the city while others rested on rooftops or walked in the busy streets. This sight simply astounded Seraph and Rinhaha, some locals took notice of the knights and ran up to them cheering out their colors. The knights walk forward through the streets, many of the people part ways to give the knights space. Some locals bowed while others were showing joy and happiness at the sight of them. After a few kilometers the knights holding the familiars reach an inner castle gate which opens. This castle was guarded by knights wearing white marks over their armor.

Once inside Seraph and Rinhana looked all around the courtyard where many knights in different colors fought each other in hand to hand combat while the red marked knights watched and gave instruction. At one end of the courtyard there was a group of knights that had grey markings and were being put through the wringer by an orange marked knight doing obstacle courses. After a short walk they enter the palace inside, the hallway welcomes them all with a purple carpet with black marble flooring. The walls had different tiers of armors almost like they were going from oldest models to the newer versions. They go down the hallway until they end up in front of a large oak door with a metal triangle in the center. Red knocks on the triangle once and steps back as it splits the door in half and recedes into the walls of either side. Both knights step through walking forward ten meters before kneeling placing the familiars down before them.

"Our lord, we have brought the awakened and its friend through mark." Both Red and Orange say in unison.

The demon lord stands up from his throne and looks at Seraph then at Rinhana. He walks down from his throne and pets both familiars.

"I'm so glad you made it home safely, and you made a friend outside as well. I'm very impressed my familiar, I look forward to hearing about your little adventures while I get you situated in our way of life." The demon lord sits in front of the two crossing his legs in front of himself. The demon lord was eager to listen to Seraph to get an idea what happened after the early summoning accident.

Seraph was looking at this strange person for a bit until she decided to entertain him with her story. She'd go on how she survived a wolf to learn from an old peep. Killing a few annoying apples and ending up at that school place. She also recalled dying but at the same time not really. Also how humans after watching you die in front of them, ask you why you're violent to the person who technically killed you. Like who wouldn't be pissed if they got their head exploded and was still alive to feel all that pain.

'Anyways that's all that happened until your knights of colored armor picked us up. By the way, that's a nice city you got, how come it's so secretive and has a wall higher than creepy clouds?' Seraph would lean her head to the left looking at the demon lord.

"Ah that, because the humans outside the city walls are pretty much hopeless creatures that destroy their own world. Granted a few humans are granted solitude within our walls but they are what you would call reasonable people. So we hide our nation under the guise as a demonic civilization to keep them away. Now granted we do still get sieges every once in a while but they always run away once the draconian familiars come out to play." The demon lord would laugh recalling the last siege when a whole siege tower got toppled over on a small hundred of soldiers.

'By the way, what's your name?' Seraph would pounce the demon lord's shoulder.

"Ulkarion, just a normal demon who oversees the people of Varkz." Ulkarion pets Seraph behind the right ear.
