Elena's brow furrowed. "What could they want now? Do you think they know about the Heart's bond?"

Jay shook his head. "I'm not sure, but we should find out."

The Council Hall was an imposing structure at the heart of Elaria, a symbol of the city's governance and unity. Jay and Elena entered the grand chamber, where the Council members were already seated. Among them was Elder Noren, a stern but fair leader who had always supported their cause.

Noren stood to greet them. "Jay, Elena, thank you for coming on such short notice."

Jay bowed slightly. "Elder Noren, what is this about?"

Noren's gaze was intense. "We have received troubling news from the outer regions. There have been disturbances—portals opening unexpectedly, creatures emerging. It's as if the barriers between realms are weakening."

Elena glanced at Jay, concern etched on her face. "Could it be connected to the Heart of the Realms?"

Jay felt the weight of their task settling on his shoulders once more. "We'll do whatever it takes. We've already come this far."
