22 Tory Alcatraz

"Well you asked for it, don't say that I did not warn you. You are not gonna like what I say but know that this is the truth and truth only." Linri looked towards the little loli sitting across him. There was no wavering in her eyes seems like she was hell-bent on learning the truth. This was good for him as he needed her for his plans. So she had to go to Autumnfall.

"Then let's start with your big brother's history. His name is Tory Alcatraz and heir to the Alcatraz Magus family. He was a genius in everything he did and he showed the promise of becoming a great leader. He was simply the perfect child any parents could ask for. As fate would have it he was deemed dead at the homicidal case but you don't believe that do you? You still believe that he is alive right?" Upon his question, Brie kept her silence. Well, that was disappointing he was at least expecting some kind of reaction.

"I take it as a yes then and I should say you are right, he is still alive." Brie was about to jump from the table in joy. Her, dear big brother was alive. Finally, she had a family again and she did not have to be alone any more. She was about to ask where he was when she was greeted by the cold stare of Linri so she decided to keep quiet and let him keep telling his story.

Jaime on the hand looked extremely displeased. The story was progressing towards the part she did not want Brie to hear no matter what. Alas, there was nothing she could do except grit her teeth and watch it all unfold.

"He is alive but have you thought why he was still alive? I guess you never did, then let me tell you. You see Tory was perfect in every aspect possible aside from one little thing. When he was 11 he went through the awakening ceremony that every magus is required to go through. The result of the ceremony was that he had a flawed elemental root and he had no affinity with any of the elements making it almost impossible for him to cast magic. This was devastating for the young Tory who never failed in his life before. He simply refused to believe it.

During the following year, the Alcatraz family kept on supporting Tory, hoping that he could get better at using magic. It was even fine if he was average but fate is a cruel mistress. He never got any better and as a result, the support of the Alcatraz family dwindled. Tory was started to be treated as thrash in the end. His young pride could not accept it so he kept trying and trying. Eventually, he found something in the household library. What he found was the family history book and inside it, there was a location.

You see during the ancient times the Alcatraz Magus family was an esteemed family of Darkness mages. As a speciality the darkness mages have an affinity to summon demons and make deals with them. Actually it might be better to call them Warlocks a separate branch of mages. Anyway, eventually it was decided that summoning demons were banned since even if you were careful the results might be a disaster. Tying the hands of the darkness mages. So the standing of Alcatraz Magus family eventually fell and they hid everything they had concerning their research on demons. But they didn't get rid of them.

Young Tory who was 12 at the time followed the book towards the location which was a hidden cellar. In there he found everything regarding summoning demons. Even though the Alcatraz family had abandoned their old ways, they could not bear to destroy the hard work of their dear ancestors so they hid it away instead.

Being desperate he held a ritual and summoned a demon in order to make a deal. He had summoned Baal the first demon ever slaved by the Alcatraz family. He begged Baal in order to grant him the power to use magic and be stronger than anyone else. Baal accepted Tory's deal and the only thing he requested in exchange was one thing. Can you guess what that thing was?" Linri looked at Brie who was as pale as a ghost. She must have already come to a realization but she was still denying. Well it was natural I supposed, she was not meant to learn any of this till her brother attacked her and tried to kill her but he could not have her die yet so she had to get ready.

"It was the blood of every Alcatraz Family member there is. However, this did not only included current members. Baal also wanted the blood of Tory's future children. He wanted the cursed Alcatraz bloodline end with Tory so that he could have his revenge. Tory had not understood this hidden meaning so he accepted. The family was treating as thrash and it was also their honour to be his stepping stones.

So the massacre from 5 years ago happened. Everyone except you was murdered. Tory got what he wanted but only a part of it. As a result of his massacre, the demon granted him eyes capable of seeing magic and so much more. Since you were alive and there were some spawns of Alcatraz still alive he cannot get access to his full potential. He is searching for others including you and if you are also looking for him, you can find him at Autumnfall high school. The decision is up to you." After saying that Linri just left some money at the table and left. He was so angry with Jaime, how could she act like that for someone she did not even meet before.

It was evening when Jaime had finally returned home. She was currently standing in front of Linri's door and looked like she was struggling with something. Gathering her courage she was finally able to knock on the door. She was here to apologize and she hoped that he would talk to her.

"Who is that?" Linri's tired voice sounded from the other side of the door.

"I am here to apologize-" Jaime's sentence was cut short when Linri suddenly opened the door.

"Ah, please don't bother yourself with that Ms Voss it was a mistake on my part. I guess I was too hasty to think that we were allies."
