Returning Home With A Girl

"For now that is the least of our worries. We need to get you out of here first. Also, did you remember anything about this office?"

Hearing what Linri said Jaime calmed down again. He was right. They couldn't do anything about it so there was no use in worrying. They had to get out of this place first.

"No, I don't. I didn't really write much about Jaime's time before Autumnfall just some basic stuff." Jaime's words at least confirmed one of Linri's hypothesis. They did not get the memories of the bodies they transmigrated into. Dammit, this whole thing was like playing a game in the hard mode from the start. At least on the bright side, Linri was very similar to Max so no one would suspect that it was another person inside his body. He just had to make sure not to talk about past stuff and considering he was a teenager I guess it wouldn't hurt to act like an antisocial emo kid. Yep, that should buy him enough time till he made his way to Autumnfall.

"Well, for now, we need to search this place. I think you can stay together with me and my parents. They wouldn't mind hosting you till we go to Autumnfall. You are not from London so you do not know where we are but I can tell you that this place is one of the worst places in town. It would be dangerous for you to stay here alone considering you are not really Jaime."

"Wait wait wait. One thing at a time. You want to go to Autumnfall? Are you crazy! This is not a game Kasaix. You know what kinda place there is. Are you out of your mind!" Jaime started to shout at Linri.

Well, she was right though. Normally not a sane person would want to go there. Living there was the same as living at the edge of a cliff. One wrong step and you might fall down to your death. Jaime also didn't possess any kind of special abilities which meant she was a body practitioner. She only had her attributes and since she didn't know any kind of self-defence art it would be akin to sending to her death. If she hadn't met with Linri that is.

"Calm down just listen to me first. The world we are in is a hostile place and if we want to return back home there is only one thing we can do. And that is to become as strong as the guys that summoned us. It is the only possible lead we have right now. You are also a body practitioner you know how broken they were at the beginning of the club. They just weren't popular. I think I also can make my father teach you some self-defence stuff but I am not sure if he can teach you about the swordplay though. At least until the end of the first semester, you should be safe. Just think about it for now, no pressure. You don't have to give me an answer just yet. We have enough time till the semester starts before making a well-thought judgement" Of course what he really meant was he needed enough time to convince her to go there together with him.

Unfortunately, Jaime wasn't convinced by what he said. If possible she didn't want to go that hell hole. Think about it who would want to go to a place that made certain that they had a 10% chance of surviving. I mean the survival rate was an exaggeration but since it was a combat RP club the enemies in there were really hardcore.

"Anyway, for now, pack up some clothes and we should head back to my place."

Jaime went back to her room and started to pack up some clothes meanwhile Linri start to search through her desk. He found some knives, a wallet and an agenda.

Linri skipped through the agenda. Inside it, there were the records of the cases Jaime accepted as a detective and their details. All of them were checked as completed so Linri was at least 60% sure that Jaime was not working on a case prior to Spark's possession. That was good. At least they did not have to worry about an unsatisfied 'customer'.

The wallet had some normal stuff like some cash, ID card, bank card, subway pass, another bank card etc. When he was about to close the drawer containing the agenda Linri noticed a small gap. He immediately thought it might be some kind of hidden compartment. So he took out the drawer and turned it upside down. Nothing came down.

Linri was not satisfied so he forced open the crack with one of the knives he found and forcefully opened it. As he expected he found something inside. It seemed like a very old book. There were no words on the cover and the book looked like it might fall apart with the slightest touch. His curiosity got the better of him and he opened it.

The book seemed to be depicting some sort of sword method. Inside it, there were clear pictures of a person doing movements with a sword. He did not know what it was but since this book belonged to Jaime, Spark might know something about it. I mean she was the one who created her after all.

"I'm ready." Jaime came out with a backpack on her shoulders.

"Hey, check this out. Do you know anything about it?" Linri asked her while pointing at the book in his hands.

"What?" Jaime came next to Linri and leaned against his back.

Since Jaime was right next to Linri leaning against the book he had only one thought in his mind. 'Damn she smells good' Don't get him wrong, Linri was no virgin. He couldn't be considered a Casanova but he had his fair share of experience with girls. Just yesterday he had a girlfriend who might possibly be his future wife. The problem was currently he was in the body of a teenager who was just experiencing 'certain' changes. It was not like he could fight against nature.

Linri suddenly got out of his trance with Jaime's shriek.

"Ah! This is the book of Silver Sword! It is the heritage of Jaime's family and the sword fighting technique she used in the club while fighting! Where did you get it?" Jaime was looking at him with twinkling eyes. If she was not right in front of his face it would be even better.

While blushing Linri told her about the hidden compartment. Thank god it was night and his complexion wasn't really that noticeable. He decided to 'relieve' himself in the first chance he got when he returned home. He could not even think clearly. God, it was really a torture to become a teenager once more.

"Anyway, since this is Jaime's sword method keep it and study. Who knows since your body already learnt it before it shouldn't be that hard to remember some of the easier moves. Pack up the Laptop on the desk and let's go. Oh by the way here is your wallet. Don't lose it" said Linri and threw her the wallet.

Jaime put the laptop in her backpack and also packed the sword in its special case.

"You are also taking the sword?" Linri was surprised. I mean why would anyone want to carry a sword with them. They were living in the age of guns FFS! Most importantly what if a cop pulled them over and asked them what it was? I guess they could say it was some sort of cosplay prop but still!

"Yep. How am I supposed to train in sword without one? Also, this sword is from her family just like that book. I don't want to leave it behind." replied Jaime. Lady, first of all, that was not what he meant but he was too tired to argue so he let it pass.

"You hungry? On the way home, we can stop by a McNugget if you want?"

"Yes please!"

So they left the office. Jaime locked the door in case they might need to return this office in the future. Who knows there might be some more important stuff like the book they found inside.
