۞ II ۞

DID I SAY THAT THE ACADEMIES ARE ALL BOARDING? Yes, we live on them, on spacious dorms for the students. The most privilege have a single room, while the others have to share with a roommate. As a legacy, I have my own, but as he's powerful and doesn't go well with the other students, Gray was also given a single room for himself.

However, that's not the only privilege of the legacies. Each of the legacies kids, has a right to have a space just for themselves, protected and soundproof, just for them to train and do whatever they want to. It's a right of the legacy student. They chose the place and they get the space. They can also chose to have a protective barrier that will block anyone but them inside.

That's what I did. Amber got upset because of that, since she was curious about my place, but my parents understood it, since at their time, they did the same. But what shocked everyone was that despite my obsession with Gray, I didn't let him come in either. To his credit, he asked me about it twice, which was quite surprising.

But when I said I wouldn't use my magic, I meant not using it in front of anyone. I had to find a way to control it, especially when I never knew anyone with those two types. That is, besides principal Alexis Gilbert, who has sound magic, but she's the only one I know of. So, I used my space to train myself during all those years in both sound magic and spatial magic. As well as fighting with both.

I can't say I hated it, because they are useful. However, I still hate the fact that I am nothing alike my family, despite my dad's features.

I was training them after the morning classes on the 7th day of April, when Gray sent me a message. Which was weird, since most of the time I'm the one who starts our conversations. And what made it even more strange is that we never hang out on the 7th days of any months, since it's the day of the monthly Seasonborn Carnival, where the students of Winterborn and all the others who have some artistic aptitudes go and perform something, especially music related.

Gray always go there. I always go pretending to be someone else, so I can sing a song in front of everyone, without them knowing it's me. It's been a way for me to relax.

Gray: Are you at your place in the northeast forest?

Oh, yes. All the legacies' outdorms from the three academies, are spread in the forest that surrounds Van Veldhoven. Mine is in the northeast side, near a waterfall. While Amber's in the southwest side of the forest, near a lake.

[ Yeah. Want me to go to you? ]

Gray: Nah. I'll go get you.

He's coming to get me? With his car? Is he alright? He never liked coming around the forest since it's a place full of legacies on there outdorms. I hope nothing bad happened.

[ Is everything okay, Gray? ]

Gray: Yeah. I just want to take you somewhere.

I blushed instantly when I read his text. Everything else I wanted to do today disappeared from my mental to-do-list. Could he finally want to cross the line he draw between us?

Oh my God, just the thought of that made my body burn.

[ When do you arrive? ]

Gray: 7 minutes. Be ready, Rose.

Yes, he calls me by my middle name. He's the only one that does that, actually. That's why I love it so much. And every time someone tries to call me by that, I tell them not to. It feels special when it's something that only Gray does.

I like to keep it like that. It feels almost… sacred. Especially when he has a rose tattoo on his ribs. And even though I know it has nothing to do with me, but more like the fact that he really likes roses, I feel warm in my heart when I think that my middle name matches his tattoo.

Well, I also have one. Some time ago on my 17th birthday. A oriental dragon on my back. It's very beautiful. At least, Gray compliment it. He doesn't usually compliment me, but when he does, I cherish it whole heartedly.

[ I'll be ready. ]

Gray: Definitely.

I could help but to have dirty thoughts with his words. I'm quite naughty and horny, even more than he is. So much that if depended on me, we would have had sex way before, but he always had more control over that.

And my parents swear he's the one with the dirty mind who wants to corrupt me. It's almost funny. I'm definitely more dirty minded than he is. Sometimes it's cute how oblivious he sounds.

Maybe he acts so dense like that purposely to confuse me. But it doesn't matter. It's charming. Although I definitely wouldn't mind if he was more dirty minded, it would be even more attractive, actually. And I would be able to go far than we've gone until now.

I took my things, put them back on my bag, put the glasses I ended up breaking aside, and took the dark chocolate brownies I made from the tray and put them on a glass bowel that miraculously hadn't been broken when I was training, since Gray loves dark chocolate brownies. With that sweet tooth of his, he loves sweets overall, while I prefer to bake them than to eat it, since I'm more into sour and spicy food.

That's a downside of having sound magic. Breaking glasses. That's also the reason why all the windows in here are made out of wood, and I use lots of things made out of plastic instead of glass.

At least I don't get cuts from it anymore. It used to be a nuisance. And it was really annoying to hide the reason.

I took a thermal bottle from the kitchen cabinet and filled it with the iced peach and chamomile tea I made for him, since it helps him with his nerves. Since, like me, he tends to get easily stress and all. But to all that everyone knows, I'm the calm one and he's the walking-chaos.

Then I walked out of the house, locked it, and passed through the barrier. When I was out of my space, I spotted his toned black Jeep Wrangler in the path that cuts through the forest.

Gray has a normie family, but they are filthy rich. Entrepreneurs who have business all over the city and around the country too. After all, Van Veldhoven isn't the only magical city in Switzerland. Or in the world, for a matter of fact.

His family also has links to Germany and to South Korea, so he looks low key east Asian, and I love that. Like everyone else, Gray's taller than me by a lot, since I'm around his shoulders.

He has dark brown almost black hair, his eyes are dark blue, his skin is white, he has sharp cheekbones, full lips that are really soft, his body is sculpted in muscles but in a slimmer way, his nose is thin and his eyebrows are sharp, he also has long eyelashes and dimples in his cheeks. Gray also has really wide and broad shoulders, and his waist is tiny too, as his collarbones are also sharp. With earrings in both ears, and rings on all of his fingers.
