League of Destiny

"Justice and revenge are necessary means to restore order. The only one who should be forgiven is he who begs for mercy on his knees." Lady Adelaide Maurin is the Duchess' daughter. That is, after the incident that took place five years ago, stole her title. She wasn't granted much respect by her peers due to her being restricted of her previous title, the crown princess of Mathilda. It all changes for the better once she realises what her destiny is. She has to weigh two options: let her loved ones assist her in the journey to right what has been wronged, or to secretly flee and complete the mission by herself. Will she have what it takes to reclaim the throne and correct all wrongdoings? Or will she be sentenced to prison for life?

Chapter 15

Adelaide was done moping. She was planning to journey soon, but not without alerting her friend and family. She didn't expect it to be easy since there was an invisible barrier surrounding the castle. If she somehow managed to get through the force, there were even more dangers because the King must have been aware that people want him dead.

Adelaide's father was a coward. She knew that much, but she didn't expect him to hide inside the walls of his castle.

Who was Adelaide kidding? She didn't even think it to be surprising at all. Whatever, he couldn't hide there for much longer.

Filippa was questioning her reality. She knew she vowed to help Adelaide with her plan, but now, she wasn't so sure. Perhaps she needed to think rationally and calm her nerves. She couldn't chicken out now. She would never break any of her vows. She was ready to fight since it was her destiny, after all.

Filippa was determined to assist Adelaide. She was ready to risk her life if it came to that.

Similarly to Adelaide, Leoric was having trouble getting off the floor. Curse his shitty father. If it weren't for him, he would have no problems living a happy and stress-free life. "He ruined your whole life, right? Wouldn't it be wiser to act now rather than later?" a voice said.

Leoric's inner conscience might be mocking him right now, but it gave him an idea. One that he could control his anger for.
