Chapter 244, The Ancients and the Harbingers

"It's been a long time, Harbinger of Catastrophe." Ragel grinned as he guarded Theo and Philia.

"I see you've regained some sanity, Children of Fatum." Frajil's eyes narrowed.

"Who...?" Theo asked as he braced himself and healed some of his wounds.

"I'm Ragel. One of Felicia's siblings." Ragel offered his hand to Theo and helped him up. "There's no need to be so wary of me. I'm not your enemy."

"And how can we trust you?" Philia asked as he picked himself up.

"Because I stand with Arata." He says and turns to Frajil. "Now then, why don't we deal with you first?"

"Do you really think you can harm me? In such a state?" Frajil asked as Ragel glowed.

"Little Light." Ragel held out his hand and a blast of light shoots past Frajil.

"Tch." Frajil took a few steps back.

"Well then. As much as I'd love to fight you, I have more important matters to tend to." Ragel says and turns to the two standing behind him. "We're retreating you two. Arata still needs your help."

"Do you think I'll let you?!" Frajil aimed to attack them.

"Vis. We're ready." Ragel stated and the three of them were engulfed in a golden light. "We'll settle this on another day, Frajil."

Leaving behind these words, Ragel and the two shined and disappeared.

"Who...?" Ophelia asked as she felt a warm light engulfs her body.

"Don't move just yet, you're still pretty wounded." Sylphid stated and Ophelia opened her eyes to Sylphid healing her wounds.

"Lady Sylphid? I remember being attacked..." Ophelia held her head and she recalls what happened. "Lady Sylphid the woman in black!!"

"She's over there." A voice called and Ophelia turned to the skies to see a woman fighting the one who attacked them.

"Oh, has she finally awakened?" The woman asked. "I'm Alma, and in resonance with Arata's power, I am here to help."

"Alma...?" Ophelia held her head.

"Well, I'd love to continue our little game, it's about time for us to leave." Alma stated as she faced the black haired woman. "Vis."

"Tch. The power of the Ancient of Wishes..." The woman in black stated. "Such an annoying ability."

"See you, Rasha." Alma smirked as the group was engulfed by the light and teleported away.

-----

"Stop right there, young one." A voice called to Michael. He turned to witness a man flying above him.

"Tch. How are you here, Baran?!" The black haired man before him exclaimed.

"Baran?" Michael turned to the man.

"It's been eons, Shaze. I'd love to fight you however, my goal is something else today." He says and turns to Michael. "Vis."

"Fleeing are we?" Shaze stated as the group was engulfed by a golden light.

"Rend." Baran shoots a light towards Shaze. "It's called a tactical retreat."

The moment that Shaze dodges the blast of light is the instant that Baran and the group has been teleported away.

-----

"Cas! ...Lucas! Sir Lucas!!" The voice of Tyson calling his name awakens Lucas and he immediately gets up.

"Tyson, where's the enemy?!" He said as he was ready to fight.

"Over here." Leno grinned. "You're finally awake. Looks like you failed you're mission, Dures."

"This is only the beginning." The man in black stated as the light engulfed Leno and the others.

"Vis." Leno spoke and they disappeared in a flash of light.

"The Ancient of Wishes ability is an annoying one." Dures stated as he gazed over the empty.

"You won't be saying farewell to anyone today, Zenze." Cedar stated as he blocked the attack that was about to strike Adonis. "Are you alright, young one?"

"Who?" Adonis asked.

"I take it you're okay. Go heal your companions, I'll deal with the enemy." Cedar stated. Taking the chance, Adonis goes to heal Undine and the others. "Now then, it's been a long time Zenze."

"Cedar... I has been a long time." Zenze answered. "I've waited a long time to settle the score with you!!"

"Then you'll have to wait a little longer." Cedar taunted as the bodies of Adonis and the others began to glow. "Vis."

"No you don't!!" Zenze charges forward but it's too late. Cedar has teleported along with Adonis and his team.

-------

"Adelé! Please wake up!!" Chiko's voice asked Adelé and she glances around her to find their assailant fighting an unknown figure.

"Who is that...?" Adelé asked as she propped herself up.

"My name's Isca. Are you alright?" Isca called down to them.

"I'm fine now..." Adelé answered.

"Well then, it was fun Senra, but we'll be taking our leave. Vis." A golden light engulfs the group and before Senra can do anything they are teleported to safety.

-----

"I'm afraid that isn't for you to decide, Mize." A ray of light flies past Rachel and strikes the woman in black before her.

"Tch. So you've descended, Ancient." The woman in black answered. "Allie."

"Young one, can you move?" Allie asked Rachel.

"I can..." Rachel answered.

"Then tend to you comrades." Allie stated and turns to Mize. "It's been a while, Mize. I haven't seen you since the battle for Fort Flave. I recall you lost that battle."

"I recall it differently." Mize said as she held her blade.

"As much as I'd like to settle the score with you." Allie turned to Rachel. "I have more important things to do. Vis."

"Tch. Fleeing are we?" Mize mocked.

"Retreating. Something you should've learned during the battle for Fort Flave." Allie says as she is engulfed by the golden light. "Maybe then your oh so precious Niza wouldn't have died."

With taunting words, Allie disappears along with the Rachel's group.

------

"Are you alright, young one?" A voice called as Angelica braced herself for a blow. She opens her eyes and looks up to find an unfamiliar figure floating above her.

"Who...?" Angelica asked.

"Tch. Sion." The woman before her clocked her tongue.

"Yo, it's been a while, Fleska." Sion stated as he grinned at her. "I'd love to stay and chat but, I'm on a tight schedule. Vis."

"Tch. The Ancient of Wishes' ability of teleportation. Are you planning on running away?" Fleska taunted with mocking eyes.

"Say what you want, my priority is not you." Sion stated as the golden light engulfed him. "Your fate was long determined by the Oracle."

With his words hanging in the wind, Sion along with Angelica disappeared.
