Chapter - 05

[A/N: - Last chapter and this one, both of them are my first time writing something that is even remotely close to romance, so it may seem cliche, forced and cringy.

I know but meh, I decided to make it a harem, so this is the first step.

At first the only love interest I had in mind was Medea Caster from Fate Unlimited Blade Works, however since I love Saeko I decided to add her as well.

So far, those two are the only girls I sure as hell am adding.

I may add more girls from Fate later, however, from HoTD there will only be Shizuka if I decided to add more.

Morning next day.

Inside a bedroom in Jin's mansion Saeko's eyes moved slightly as she slowly woke up and opened her eyes. Seeing the unfamiliar looking room, she was confused.

____/Saeko's POV\____

'Where am I? What happened? Was I dreaming?'

She silently questioned herself as her mind was foggy and she couldn't really recall the recent events from the mental shock of yesterday.

After taking a couple of minutes to calm down, she remembered what happened and had a complicated expression on her face the moment she remembered the smiling face of the young man who has been making her happy for the past few days.

'Jin…'

She started remembering every moment she had with him. The thought of them made her heart flutter and jump all over the place. However, the moment she remembered her real personality and past, her expression turned gloomy.

'I am not worthy of such happiness…'

'That smile doesn't belong to sick person like me…'

'I-I am…'

Saeko's thoughts were interrupted by a female mechanical voice.

[Good morning, Busujima Saeko-sama. Have you woken up?] (A.I)

"Who's there?!"

Shouted Saeko as she raised her guard because of the sudden appearance of the voice.

[My name is S.A.I., I am an Artificial Intelligence created by my master, Oukami Jin. To answer your question, I have been given the authority to control the tech inside the mansion, so I am everywhere in the mansion in the literal sense.] (Sai)

"Jin?! Where is he?!"

Hearing Jin's name Saeko became excited.

[Master has been inside his laboratory since he put you to bed last night.] (Sai)

"Laboratory? Can I go there?"

[That would be unnecessary, Master is heading towards the living room right now.] (Sai)

"Where is the living room?"

[Please follow this arrow.] (Sai)

Just as Sai finished her phrase, a blue holographic arrow appeared in front of Saeko and started moving as she followed behind.

Right now, Jin in the living room was relaxing on the couch, he changed into a comfortable set of clothes and started watching his re-created Fate Unlimited Blade Works while drinking green tea.

He then heard footsteps behind him, he turned his head and spoke with a smile.

"Good morning, Saeko. Are you fine? If not, then please rest more."

"N-No, I-I am fine now…"

"As long as you are fine. However, don't push yourself okay?"

He told her softly while looking directly in her eyes.

Saeko didn't reply and only looked down to avoid eye contact with Jin. She suddenly clenched her fist as she made a decisive decision.

Saeko then got near Jin who was relaxing on the couch and hugged him without saying anything.

Jin was slightly surprised, but he didn't push her back or ask anything and just hugged her back while patting her head.

A comfortable silence descended over the room, the only sound that was heard was the sound of Jin's hand brushing Saeko's hair.

They spent an hour like this, silently laying in each other arms and listening to each other heartbeat.

After Saeko calmed down, she broke the silence.

"You are not going to pry?"

"No."

His blunt answer shocked her slightly, but she heard him continue.

"I don't know the reason, but it seems a really big and sensitive one for you to freeze like that… Moreover, all of us got our secrets, so even if I am worried, I won't pry unless you yourself feel comfortable enough to tell me."

Hearing him, Saeko avoided eye contact with him and stayed silent for a while. After a while, she took a deep breath and finally spoke.

"It might not mean anything to you… But regardless, do you mind hearing me out?"

Hearing her question with the sad tone made him pat her head lightly as he spoke softly.

"I don't mind hearing you out, so speak to me whenever you want, we have all the time in the world."

Hearing him, Saeko had a slight smile on her face that disappeared quickly as she started.

"Yesterday, I recalled when I was last so…. Afraid."

"Because you saw the children?" (Jin)

"No. Although it was troubling, but that was not it." (Saeko)

"Back when we were by the riverbank, you asked me if there was a man who I liked." (Saeko)

"*cough* That was for research purposes…"

Jin choked when he heard her talking, however, Saeko ignored him and continued to speak.

"Don't worry. I do think like a woman, and there was once a man that I liked. But…"

He didn't say anything but pat her head and continued to listen to her as she poured her hearts out.

She started speaking while her breathing was getting a bit erratic.

"However, I didn't convey my feelings to him. I didn't believe that I should be allowed to do so."

Jin was about to interrupt her, but she put a finger on his mouth and stopped him.

"Do you think that he would have accepted me if I had committed murder?"

He didn't interrupt and let her continue.

"It was four years ago. A man attacked me at night. I had my wooden sword with me, so naturally I was able to fend him off. I broke his shoulder blade and femur. The police understood the situation and took me home in the patrol car."

"So far it's an excessive case of self-defense." (Jin)

"This is not what made me freeze in the park…"

"I- I…. I enjoyed it. I had a clearly defined enemy. It was thrilling!"

She spoke while both her sound and body were shaking, so he hugged her tightly.

"Back then, I knew that I would come out on top because of my strength and I had my wooden sword with me. I pretended to be afraid, lured him in, and struck back without a hint of hesitation. And I ENJOYED IT. I TRULY, TRULY ENJOYED IT!!"

She was practically screaming by the end of her speech, however, before he could say anything, she continued to shout as if she was about to go crazy.

"THIS IS THE REAL ME!! THE TRUE NATURE OF BUSUJIMA SAEKO!! DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT I, DRUNK AND TURNED ON BY MY OWN POWER, SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO FEEL SOMETHING SO PURE LIKE LOVE?!!!"

"You may try to tell me that ever since the apocalypse started people got used to killing. However, they got used to it after it, while I HAVE BEEN LIKE THIS SINCE BEFORE IT ALL BEGAN!!"

"Back then when we were in the park, I came to realize that I have not changed. I though that with having someone I care about with me that I will change! On the contrary, I find myself becoming even crueler."

Jin couldn't take it anymore and shouted.

"SAEKO, ENOUGH!"

"Wha-"

Just before she responded, she felt his lips sealing her own.

It was a pure kiss with just their lips touching, they enjoyed it together for a couple of minutes before they separated.

Saeko then looked at him with complex expression, it had a mix of happiness, sadness, and confusion.

"Why…" (Saeko)

"Why what?" (Jin)

"Why did you kiss me?

"Because I'm straight, duh. If anyone in my place and didn't kiss you, then he is either gay or gay!"

"I am not joking! Why did you kiss me even after hearing what I just said!"

"So, what if you enjoy killing zombies? So far, you only got excited from killing them and hurting the scum that wanted to attack you. What's wrong with that? The world is filled with people with weird interests, hell it's fucking infested with freaking zombies, that shit came out of a video game scenario!"

"Just because you have 'slightly' violent tendencies don't think you are not worthy of love. At the very least unlike me, you can even feel excitement from killing them or hurting bad people. I literally have no emotional fluctuation when killing, zombies or living being. It's like taking out the trash that you do without even putting much thought into."

"This weak appearance of yours although is tempting as hell for me to 'eat' you, I love your badass samurai girl personality the most."

Jin said as he gave another short kiss to the dumbfounded Saeko.

"If you are really that weak, Saeko. How about this, become 'my' samurai! If you agree to it, my first order to you is to live! I want you to live however you want, whether you hole yourself in a room all day, or go on a killing spree with a maniacal grin while fighting zombie, enjoy your life, Saeko!"

"And if you are really afraid that you will go drunk on your powers and kill the innocents, I'll be there for you when the time comes to kick your ass and knock some sense into you!"

Jin told her while grinning from ear to ear.

Seeing him like that, accepting her and her twisted personality without batting an eye or even looking at her with the slightest bit of disgust or even feeling repulsed by her.

Saeko's heart beat fiercely and she felt her body tremble. She looked at him straight in the eyes, her eyes contained a lot of emotions. Love, care, guilt, determination, and obsession. All of her feelings that she has been bottling so far came out gushing fiercely at the same time.

Her eyes turned red as she started crying silently while hugging him tightly, afraid that all this was a dream, and he will suddenly disappear.

Jin did nothing except hug her tightly as he kissed her head while patting her.

After she cried her heart out, she suddenly left her hug and stood up.

"I made you see a really shameful side of me."

Said a blushing Saeko while averting her eyes, trying to hide her embarrassment.

"Ahahaha, please do show me this shameful side once in a while. Although I love Saeko, the badass samurai girl, I love this cute and weak Saeko too."

Jin chuckled and told her his real feelings.

"U-Un…"

She only nodded weakly while blushing after hearing him.

*growl*growl*

Saeko wanted to find a place to bury herself from the embarrassment she felt right now when her stomach suddenly growled.

Jin who heard it smiled thinly as he remembered that her stomach has been empty since yesterday.

"No need to be embarrassed, you haven't eaten anything since yesterday. Now, is a perfect time for me to show you my craft. I told you that I'm good cook before, right? It's already time for breakfast so let's eat together."

Jin said as he got up and headed towards the kitchen while rolling up his sleeves and wearing an apron that he took from God knows where.

Seeing his antics, Saeko smiled in bliss as she followed him towards the kitchen to help.

Jin then swiftly started preparing the food while Saeko was mesmerized by the sight of him cooking. Seeing his figure from behind she had the urge to hug him. And she did.

"Mmm, Miss Saeko, although I don't mind remaking the Titanic with you later, but I don't think you would want to drown in boiling soup instead of cold wat-"

"What the hell?!" (Jin)

"Hey, Sai! Why the hell did you play that?!" (Jin)

[Master said he'll be mimicking Titanic, so I picked a suitable soundtrack.] (Sai)

Sai said with a hint of sarcasm in her mechanical voice.

"No, I didn't mean it like that, you stupid A.I! First of all, the positions are reversed, no way in hell I'm playing Rose! And who the hell would mimic Titanic in the kitchen?!"

Jin said with annoyance as Sai stopped the music. He turned around to see Saeko laughing her ass off at his interaction with his A.I. He smiled evilly as he went towards her.

"Hoh! You sure are a good 'samurai, laughing at your lord, huh?"

*spank*

"Ahhhhn~"

He swung his arm down with a little force and spanked her ass. Saeko moaned as she felt a mix of pain and pleasure from her ass.

Seeing her like that, Jin lifted her chin and spoke with a seductive and domineering tone.

"Oya, that was a really nice sound you got there, S-A-E-K-O-chan. I didn't really know that my little sadistic swordsman likes it rough~"

He was whispering in her ear and Saeko was blushing madly, shuddering, and breathing heavily from the stimulation.

Just as he was about to take it up a notch, the food alarm rang killing the mood.

Saeko seeing him leave to get the food sighed in both relief and disappointment.

She then went to help him with the dishes and setting up the table.

While they were eating their breakfast, they suddenly felt a small tremor and heard a loud sound of an explosion. Saeko who heard it sprang open from her seat while Jin had an annoyed expression on his face.

'What the hell?! Who the fuck decides to have an orgy in a bus surrounded by zombies this early in the morning?!'

Yes, the explosion earlier was from the bus where Shido and his cult were. Back then, Jin planted and explosive enchantment alongside a sound amplification one in the bus. They will activate once Shido and his cult decide to hold an orgy like what happened in the anime. He figured that he should get rid of that cancer early and at the same time, luring all of the zombies to the middle of the city.

"Saeko-chan, sit down it's nothing. Just a bunch of retards that did something stupid, pay it no mind. The food will get cold if you don't really start eating."

Hearing him, Saeko sat down and started eating. She had to admit that his food is the tastiest thing she has ever consumed in her entire life. However, that admittance pretty much shattered her womanly pride, especially for someone like her who was proud of her cooking.

A couple of minutes later, they finished their meal and Saeko went to the bathroom of her own bedroom to take a bath.

The soothing sensation of the warm water, coupled with her mental fatigue from the day before and crying after waking up and the heavenly meal that was prepared by Jin hit her hard that she dozed off and slept for a while.

When she slept, she missed the chance to see a disgusting looking and smelling black liquid oozing out from her body. However, with the cleaning enchantment of the house it disappeared after two seconds.

Fifteen minutes later, Saeko woke up in the bath extremely refreshed. However, she suddenly frowned as she realized something different about her body. Her body felt extremely light and she had feeling that her strength increased by huge margin.

All of her senses also increased by many levels.

Her mental capabilities also increased drastically. Her mind felt extremely clear, she could clearly remember every moment of her life since she was born till this moment as if it happened two seconds ago, her brain processing speed also soared through the sky.

She then went to the full body mirror in the bathroom and checked herself.

Her body also took a big change. All the minor scars and the calluses on her hand that she got from her training completely disappeared, her hands looked like the hands of a baby that never held anything heavier that a feather in her lifetime, while her skin became so smooth, and soft that it would put a baby to shame.

Her body became slightly taller [A/N: - 1 cm increase, from 174 cm to 175 cm.], it lost all the unnecessary fat it had and became slim while maintaining its curvaceous nature. Her breasts grew larger and firmer. They evolved from D-cup to E-cup [A/N: - 2 cm increase, from 83 cm to 85 cm.].

Her ass became rounder, firmer, and more elastic.

Her hair grew a bit longer, it became smoother, softer, and more lustrous.

Her skin became whiter and more lustrous, it looked so soft and moist that it felt like water can come out with the slightest touch.

Her body became so perfect that it looked like it was carved from the finest jade.[A/N: - Sorry, had to do it...].

"What the hell happened?!"

Saeko who finally finished assessing her body snapped out of her daze and screamed.

She dried herself and went to wear her clothes.

After she stood in front of the wardrobe, she suddenly saw light coming out of it and scanning her body.

Just as she was about to wonder about what was that she heard Sai's mechanical voice from the wardrobe.

[Measurements taken. Clothes sizes have been altered. Have a nice day.]

Just as she was about to ask what had happened, she saw a holographic screen with her naked body on it, it had many dressing options available that it looked like an advanced dressing game.

Saeko spent some time to pick her clothes, after she was satisfied, she clicked [Proceed]. Suddenly light enveloped her, her bath towel was replaced by the set of clothes that she chose before. She felt really comfortable wearing them, as if they were tailor made for her down to the millimeter, not to mention that the materials were the best she had ever worn.

She was wearing a simple black t-shirt with blue text over it, a pair of dark blue jeans.

After checking her clothes one more time in the mirror, she left the room and went to look for Jin.

She went to the living room but saw no one there so she asked Sai.

"Sai, where is my lo- I mean where is Jin?"

Saeko's tongue almost slipped and she was about to call Jin 'My lord' but stopped before it was too late.

[Your lor-, I mean Master is in the laboratory in the ninth underground floor. You can follow the arrow to the elevator.] (Sai)

Or so Saeko hopefully thought, but that damned A.I caught her slip. She kinda sympathized with Jin earlier when Sai decided to be sarcastic with him too.

She didn't reply and just followed the arrow to the elevator. Just as she entered, she saw three up buttons and ten down buttons. She was shocked at the sheer size of the mansion as it has thirteen floors, not counting the two separate buildings outside.

She pressed on the [-9] button, she didn't feel anything, and the door opened. She thought that it was not working however when she saw the scene in front of her that looked like it came out of a SCI-FI movie, she threw away her thoughts.

She entered a place where many complex devices were active, miniature drones flying while carrying things, robotic arms using holographic screens, experimental tubes filled with all kind of colored liquids and many more.

"Oh, hello there."

"Kyaa!"

Jin who Saeko get inside the lab wanted to scare her, he wore a plague mask, went behind her and spoke.

"What a nice reaction, I should do this more often."

He spoke as he removed the mask and threw it away, and a small cleaning drone came and put it in the 'Useless Stuff' room.

Saeko ignored his antics, calmed her breathing, and spoke.

"What are you doing here? Why are there zombies in these tubes?"

"Oh! So, Milady is interested in stuff other than swords too, good to know."

Saeko who heard him calling her like that giggled while blushing.

"I am serious. What are you doing with them?" (Saeko)

"Hehehe, this great genius here is making either an antidote or a poison for them depending on their condition. If it succeeded, which would happen. The antidote will either revert them to the state of 'living' if their souls were still inside their bodies or simply heals the zombification, but they would fall as corpses since their bodies got no souls. Both situations are good, but I hope for the first option."

Saying that Saeko was dumbfounded would be an understatement. The man in front of her said that he is making a cure for a phenomenon that has pretty much thrown the whole world into chaos so easily as if he was talking about walking his pet dog.

"Are you serious?"

"More than a dude that went to buy cigarettes after knowing about his girlfriend's pregnancy."

"What the h…"

"*Cough* I'm 100% serious. It should be done by 3 days to 2 weeks, depending on our luck and the data I gathered from the ones in the tube."

Saeko was stunned hearing that he has already found a cure for it.

Seeing her face, he changed the topic.

"By the way, the medical bath sure did its job. You look more stunning after using it, Saeko-chan. I'm giving myself an omega good job for creating it."

Jin said while nodding sagely while looking at her now bigger boobs.

"You created that?! I have been racking my brain to know what happened in the bath since I was asleep. I dozed off for a couple of minutes and woke up as a new person."

"Ah well I created lots of stuff and it's one of them yeah, praise me more and feed my ego please~"

Saeko sighed and ignored his childish act. She then asked seriously.

"So, what are you going to do now?"

"Nothing really. We will go to the Takagi Estate to meet the group, ask them if they want to come and stay with us here, give food supplies and water to the refugees there, then finally go back and start chilling home like my normal self until the antidote is finished."

"I see."

"Ok then. Sai, prepare the supplies, we are going out now."

[Affirmative.]
