Even though Liao Yun was focused on the plate of fruits, it didn't mean that she didn't hear the conversation between Fu Tao and Quan Jingyi. Liao Yun just didn't like something annoying and complicating, thus she didn't bother with it.

But after hearing Quan Jingyi's sentence and his refreshing smile as he said that sentence, Liao Yun's temper couldn't help but flare up.

She was the only one allowed to play with Fu Tao!

Liao Yun stood up and pointed her index finger toward Quan Jingyi.

"Heck! Stay temporarily! Leave temporarily! Make your point and don't play the damn riddle! We are here because you invited us! If you want to play riddle, play by yourself! Don't bother with us!" Liao Yun shot a disdained look toward Quan Jingyi. It was a blatant disrespect toward the representative of City Governor, but how could Liao Yun bother with those annoying thing?

The reason that Liao Yun was known as little ancestor none other because of this.

A killing intent emanated from the maid behind Quan Jingyi, but Quan Jingyi raised his hand. He didn't want a fight broke up inside the City Governor's Manor as it would be used by the other pillars.

But, Liao Yun was the opposite. She was fired up as she felt the killing intent from the maid. "Good! Let's play, then!"

Liao Yun crackled her fist as her body glittered up; she was fully covered in Elemental. There was no uncomfortable expression or instability of the Elemental which was shrouding Liao Yun's whole body.

[Elemental Warrior!] Quan Jingyi grimaced as he didn't expect the unruly woman beside Fu Tao was another hidden expert. Not only that, her attainment sure was higher, but her age was younger.

[Not only that. But her strength should be on par with Lian Luoyang's prowess at the very least.] Quan Jingyi twitched the tip of his mouth as he remembered his earlier thought.

[How Laughable! This man is clearly a mere guard for these girls. Then that means their backing is something that City Governor cannot afford to offend.]

The maid didn't flinch as she saw Liao Yun's appearance. The maid followed to shroud her whole body with Elemental. It was not losing at all in term of Elemental, they were on the same level.

The situation grew awkward as Langtian's killing intent clashed with Liao Yun's battle intent in the air.

Liao Yun smirked as if she just found a new toy, while the maid was cold and silent. But the maid's killing intent was not losing at all.

It was akin to fire and water! Fiery and calm!

As the situation grew and almost out of control, Quan Jingyi waved his hand toward the maid. "Langtian, step back."

"But. . ." The maid who was called Langtian was reluctant, but she still obeyed Quan Jingyi's command. Langtian took a step back and she dispelled the shrouding Elemental around her along with her killing intent.

It was as if nothing happened.

"F*ck! Are you scared!" Liao Yun twitched her eyebrows as she didn't believe that Lingtian took a step back. But her taunt was useless, as if Liao Yun was talking to a maid's statue.

If taunting was useless, then Liao Yun would make a move. This way, Lingtian sure would retaliate and they would end up in a fight. But Liao Yun felt something tugged her clothes. It was not strong, but enough to make her returned to her sense.

Mingyue was grabbing and pulling the hem of Liao Yun's clothes. Different from the animal skin that Liao Yun used at settlement, her current outfit was added with some layer of fabrics. Liao Yun's didn't have an appearance like the first time she arrived at Grey Brick Town, but more like a mercenary. Thus, it was easier for Mingyue to grab the hem of Liao Yun's current outfit.

Of course, Liao Yun's current outfit was attributed by Turtle Shell Mercenary after they were ambushed by four mercenary groups.

Mingyue blinked her eyes a few times and acted cute in the eyes of Liao Yun.

Even though Liao Yun's temper was bad, Liao Yun would calm down a little every time after Mingyue interrupted her.

Seeing that she gained Liao Yun's attention, Mingyue opened her small lips, "Don't exercise when you just eat a lot. You will get indigestion."

Liao Yun's mood plummeted, but Mingyue didn't release her hands. Liao Yun understood that Mingyue was not kidding, but [what with this indigestion crap?]

"Indigestion is bad, you know? Your stomach will ache and also need a long time to take a dump." Mingyue wore an earnest expression as she stared at Liao Yun's face.

Seeing the earnest expression on Mingyue's innocent face, Liao Yun swallowed the indignation she felt earlier. It was as if she was blamed for something she didn't do.

In the end, Liao Yun just humphed as she sat down. [I will just let smelly Tofu handle all of this.]

"Ahahaha, looks like there is a little misunderstanding." Quan Jingyi laughed heartily and it was the first time he lost his composure.

He, as the representative of City Governor, was required to stay composed as he handled everything. Hence, it was weird for him to lose composure. Even the maid behind him, Langtian, was surprised.

"Ahaha. . ." There was a wry smile pasted on Fu Tao's face.

Fu Tao was scared that Quan Jingyi would feel offended after Liao Yun flared up, but it turned out the opposite.

"The solution is simple, but it is not simple at all." After Quan Jingyi regained his composure, he didn't beat around the bush. "You said that you want to register in Mercenary Guild, didn't you?"

Seeing Fu Tao nodded, Quan Jingyi smiled and continued, "Then it will make it simple. After you become a 2-star mercenary, we, City Governor will submit a mission. You can take that mission and stay away from this city."

"Err. . ." Since Fu Tao didn't know anything about Mercenary Guild, he could only shot a questioning gaze toward Mingyue.

"Is it a basic mission where every mercenary can take, or is it a special one?" Of course, Mingyue knew what to do even without seeing Fu Tao's pleading expression.

Quan Jingyi was startled since the one who asked the question was the smallest among them. But even so, he still answered the question. "Basic mission, of course. If it is a special mission that only for a party, it will attract attention. Not to mention something like envy, irk, or jealousy."

After hearing the explanation, Mingyue just nodded and returned to her nap on Liao Yun's thigh.

Quan Jingyi continued, "The mission content is for exploring the abandoned mine far on the east of this city. The abandoned mine is filled with the various beast and low-tier Fierce Beast. This place is akin to treasure troves full of material, but the brittle construction and crazy mining have made this abandoned mine become a dangerous place."

"But the main point of this mission is different. Based on someone's report, there was a mid-tier Fierce Beast spotted around the abandoned mine."

"If it is any other place, City Governor will just dispatch our Black Iron Army. But this abandoned mine is an exception. I cannot disclose the detail, but this abandoned mine is out of City Governor's jurisdiction. But if there is a problem, our City Governor will be blamed by the higher-up." Quan Jingyi shrugged his shoulders as he was helpless about the situation.

Fu Tao understood the crux of the problem. "Mercenary Guild is free to go there? Without any implication?"

"Yeah, any mercenary is allowed to go there. But that place is considered a rowdy and almost lawless, and any nearby city is not allowed to dispatch their own army to the abandoned mine."

"If any mercenary is allowed to be dispatched there, then the problem should be resolved in short time, shouldn't it?"

Shaking his head, Quan Jingyi had a bitter smile on his face. "The mercenary at the abandoned mine is no different from a bandit or thief. Adding with a lawless place and there is no interference of any city, the mercenaries there grow rampant as the time passed by. Even though I want to clean those kinds of degenerates, the other city will only think of it as a challenge for them.

". . . Don't tell me that you want me to take care of those craps?" Fu Tao twitched his eyebrows as he heard the detail of the abandoned mine.

"No, of course not. You are free to do it, and even if you will not do it, I am fine with it. The mission is only exploration and reconnaissance inside the abandoned mine. If there is a danger, just return and report it. If there is no danger, just linger for some time is fine for me."
