123 Amnesiac Boy, Song Qi (Part 2)

"Is he fine, Yueyue?" Xiao Wu went closer as she stared at the sleeping figure of Xiao Ming.

"Un. He should be fine. On contrary, this should be a blessing for him." Mingyue smiled as she stroked Xiao Ming's body a few times.

"What blessing?"

"He should be able to grow as long as he is not far from that boy."

"Hooo. . ."

"You are not interested, right?" Mingyue chuckled as she understood Xiao Wu's mind.

Not denying it, Xiao Wu just continued, "But, what is the relationship between Xiao Ming with that boy?" Xiao Wu took a glance at the boy, but the boy was dazzled by something else. Since it was not her problem, Xiao Wu returned her attention to Mingyue.

"This boy's physique is kind of unique, or you can say some kind of defect." Mingyue's expression turned solemn as she remembered the first time she saw the boy's appearance.

Even though Liao Yun and Fu Tao didn't realize it, it was impossible for Mingyue to miss it.

Blackened Heart Demonic Physique.

It was not like the person's heart was black-coloured or it was a demon's heart, but rather the traits of the person, the boy's heart. In a natural way, his heart exuded miasma in a slow rate.

But unlike his heart, any other part of his body was too vulnerable. As long as miasma encroached his body, he would only end up as a living dead, no more. Of course, it would be the case if he never met Mingyue.

Unknown whether it was a fate or coincidence, Mingyue remembered that Xiao Ming was able to grow when they were in a place full of miasma. Hence, Mingyue came up with an absurd idea.

By letting Xiao Ming in close contact with the boy, Xiao Ming would be able to absorb miasma which was exuded from inside of the boy's body.

One was removing, and another one was absorbing.

It was simple, but Mingyue just smiled as what she imagined came true. If it was her previous life, it was easy for Mingyue to suppress the symptom of this Blackened Heart Demonic Physique. Of course, until the boy was able to control the defect in his own body and turned it into his own strength.

[Tsk, tsk. If those creepy nuts from Demon Race know that there is someone with Blackened Heart Demonic Physique here.] Mingyue smirked in her mind.

Someone with Blackened Heart Demonic Physique was believed as the descendant of Demon Race's Royal Family. Unlike any other demon, someone with Blackened Heart Demonic Physique stood far above any other demon. As the race that was fixed with hierarchy, they believed that someone with Blackened Heart Demonic Physique was born as their leader.

But unfortunately, this world was a different place. Thus, Mingyue wouldn't bother with any of it.

On the other side, Xiao Ming was full of miasma. Not a mere miasma, but a miasma from Blackened Heart Demonic Physique. Making it simple, it should be called miasma Mk. 2.

Different in quality and density, but also difficult to control and had a ferocious nature. It was no wonder that Xiao Ming's body jerked many times.

Fortunately, it was still premature because the amount of the miasma from his body was almost negligent.

Mingyue moved her gaze toward the dazzled boy. Mingyue was puzzled, but she didn't care as she was too sleepy. "We will talk tomorrow morning. Leave all the questions for later."

After yawning, Mingyue turned around and left the room, followed by Xiao Wu.

". . . There are too many rats here. Want to exterminate them?" Xiao Jing's voice resounded in Mingyue's mind.

Even though Mingyue was sleepy, she couldn't possibly let Xiao Jing become rampant.

"Just keep watch of them. And make every note of anyone that has contact with those rats. The first priority is to find out the owner of those filthy rats."

Xiao Jing grunted, but she didn't disobey Mingyue's word.

Unlike the old time, Xiao Jing was not always trapped inside Mingyue's body. Her first priority was protecting Mingyue from any source of hostility, while her current mission was tailing each of those spies.

Using Shadow Form, no one was able to catch a glimpse of Xiao Jing's trace.

Xiao Jing grew more and more similar to a nightwalker under the blessing of the moon.

". . . No, I don't remember much." The boy shook his head as three people were staring at him.

Unlike the first time they saw the boy, the boy's current appearance sure was cleaner and better. His hair was cut short because there were a few burn traces. His body was still thin, but this should be resolved by the time passed by.

"About what happened on your village? You didn't remember anything?" Fu Tao furrowed his eyebrows as he really couldn't believe what he just heard.

"No, I am not close with anyone since I am only an outsider. I am not a part of the village, and I am only at the wrong place and at the wrong time." The boy wasn't scared of Fu Tao's stare, but he would turn meek if Mingyue was the one staring.

"It is a coincidence that I arrived at that village. Along with my disappeared memories, I didn't know what to do and no one helped me. I just followed my instinct and went to the nearby water source. And at that time, there was a lot of scream and shout."

The boy stole a few glances toward Mingyue, but he would hide his face if Mingyue stared at his face.

"Since I didn't know anything, all I do is hiding in some hidden place. Not long after that, I didn't remember anything until yesterday."

Fu Tao's furrowed eyebrows didn't relax.

"So, the first thing you remember is reaching the village, and the next thing is the village was destroyed. Are they really a slave trader like what Hao Bo and her company's said?"

"The probability is still high no matter what. The victims in that burnt down village were all old or killed with a sharp weapon, which is suitable with slave trader's handiwork." Liao Yun shrugged her shoulders as if it was not her problem.

"Little Yue, what do you think?" Fu Tao knew that talking with Liao Yun would usually end up with her guts feeling. Thus asking Mingyue was better because Mingyue knew more about the outside world more than Liao Yun and Fu Tao.

But unfortunately, the truth was not like that.

"Nothing we can do. If the boy is unrelated, then there is nothing we can do." Mingyue also shrugged her shoulders as she was not interested in entangled herself with another's problem.

After all, Mingyue didn't like the troublesome things.

"So, we won't do anything? Like tracking the trace of slave trader?" Fu Tao sighed as he was in disadvantage in front of the pair of a dictator.

In the bottom of his heart, he wished to send a judgement toward the culprit, toward the conspirator that destroyed that village.

Mingyue rolled her eyes toward Fu Tao, "Please. How many do you think the number of the slave trader in this kingdom? No, in this Viscountdom? That is only the official number. How many do you think the unofficial number? Twice the official number? Thrice? It sure is more than that. So, you still want to sniff all around this Viscountdom? Waste of time."

[Not to mention, you have to deal with the nobility.] Mingyue wanted to say it, but she held back in case of Fu Tao became rash.

"But, that slave trader's method is despicable."

"ALL slave traders are despicable!"

The room's temperature dropped as Mingyue almost lost her temper. Fortunately, it was not enough to freeze anything as only the temperature of the room was changed.

Xiao Wu nudged and licked Mingyue's cheek to remind Mingyue.

Ever since Mingyue was able to do Familiar Possession, her temper grew similar to her previous life. She was not a fiery person, but she was not someone who would hold back her own temperament. If there was something made her angered, Mingyue would unleash her pressure without she herself realized it.

It was like a habitual reflex.

"Yueyue, are you okay?" Xiao Wu stared at Mingyue along with her concern and worry. She didn't like this Mingyue because Xiao Wu would feel a distance between them.

The Mingyue that Xiao Wu remembered was someone that needed to be protected and pampered. Xiao Wu was fine if Mingyue was acting cute like a child or crying because of sadness, but the feeling that came from Mingyue earlier was something foreign, something unknown.

And that feeling gave a distance between them, and Xiao Wu didn't like it.

"Un. Thank you, Xiao Wu." Mingyue stroked Xiao Wu's head as she hugged Xiao Wu. "Sorry for worrying you."

Liao Yun and Fu Tao were used by the act of intimacy between Mingyue and Xiao Wu, but the boy was thinking something else.

In the boy's vision, it was akin to a girl who was loved by the world. She was unblemished, untainted, and exuded a sacred feeling.

[Fa- fairy. . .]

[She really exists. . .]
