I Want A Divorce

The two people in the car got a shock. Gina also looked at the two of them with a baffled expression at this juncture and saw that both of their faces had turned red.

Gina couldn't help feeling guilty. If it weren't for her, why would her younger sister and brother-in-law be implicated in this matter?

"I will handle this matter," Gina said in embarrassment. "I'll definitely sue him for domestic violence and trespassing on private property. I won't let Laurie be affected."

"Sis, don't worry. I'll definitely stand on your side. When the time comes, I'll be a witness. I won't let that scumbag Gary get away with it!" Laurie also chimed in angrily.

"Gosh! What are you two worried about?" Mike was clearly a little puzzled. "With Claude and I around, nothing will happen at all."

Claude then said calmly, "We can go to your family's villa first. Drive."

Mike kept stealing glances at Claude in the rearview mirror. He saw that he was holding Laurie's hand all the while and tidying her clothes from time to time. At the same time, Claude glared at Mike in the mirror. Mike could only roll his eyes helplessly at him.

They arrived at Claude's villa, and only then did Laurie settle Gina down. The two of them were currently on bail and could not leave Ping City yet. They had to be on call at all hours and the police might interrogate them at any time again.

Claude was also very considerate and went to the kitchen to cook for the two sisters. However, when they saw the table full of delicious food, the sisters did not have much appetite.

The police also went to the apartment to conduct a forensic check. Usually, the results would be out in three days. With the injuries on your bodies as proof, you two will be fine. Don't worry."

Gina nodded slowly after hearing his analysis, but Laurie was still a little worried. She didn't know how much this matter would affect Claude.

At night, Gina was resting in a room by herself, while Laurie tiptoed and knocked on Claude's door.

Claude was on the phone with his lawyer when he heard the knock on the door. He opened the door.

"Alright, I'll leave this matter to you. Give me an answer tomorrow morning." As he ended the phone call, he motioned for Laurie to come in.

Laurie, on the other hand, remained standing at the door, looking a little uneasy.

Claude put down the phone and asked, "What's the matter?"

"Let's make a trip home tomorrow." Laurie did not dare to look Claude in the eye. "I want to get my identity card and household registration document."

"What are you going to do with those? If you need them, I can get Mike to go get them."

However, Laurie shook her head. "I'll get my identity card tomorrow and we'll go to the Civil Affairs Bureau and apply for a divorce."

"I've already checked. Even if Gary committed the offense first, I overreacted in self-defense. He hasn't regained consciousness yet, and his family will also not let me off."
