Chapter 18

Vera was just returning from the washroom looking much better when she received a text message on the number she'd learnt to dread for years.

It said: A separation. Go along with Daniel.

Vera knew what this message was about for she had received the same text three years ago. She knew the group was going to separate however this time at this moment she wasn't devastated nor was she unwilling to separate. She had figured out something and she might know the person behind this text message façade. She knew that if the group was to come back again they were only going to end up hurt and used as slaves. She had to confirm her suspicion and that was what she was going to do during this break for she knew if her guess was right they were going to come back together.

Vera rushes to Daniel whose brows were and seemed to be concentrating on the contents of the wine.

Mr Denova I ....

You don't have to call me that Vera, I know it's you. What I don't understand is why you're pretending to be someone else.

I .. I Vera didn't know what to say now. She had planned to keep up with the act until she found a time and place suitable enough to have a proper conversation. Whoever sent the message definitely had eyes around hence it was definitely not safe to discuss with Daniel.

Daniel look I've got a whole lot to tell you. You will understand why all this is happening however this is not the time and place. She looked at Daniel with a serious gaze and as if they had a tactic understanding .

A whole lot? Daniel ask quizzically. He didn't wait for an answer as he continued;

Ok then what do you say I accompany you till we come back together.

You.. Vera starts but she's cut short by Daniel.

Didn't you say it's quite unsafe to start a conversation here? Why don't we get a very safe place to catch up. Daniel looks at the side as he says this.

Vera traces the direction of his gaze and sees a young lady in a floral dress she looked very bright and radiant however she constantly looks their way and pretends to do something else.

Ok then let's get to business. Vera says and leads the way out of the club.
