74 Sunset

The monster was about to bite off Jun's neck. But, Raiden had reached there to save Jun. 

Raiden swung his sword at the monster and made a slash. 

The sword's blade passed through the monster's neck before it could bite Jun. 

Blood flew out and the floor got covered in red blood. 

Sheila, who tried to hurry up to save Jun, stopped. More like she couldn't move anymore. The thing she had witnessed now, was enough to make her heart stop, not just her movements. 

The blood flew out and it was not only of the monster's.

But of Jun's too.

The monster had embedded his teeth deep inside Jun's neck. 

Raiden failed to save Jun. 

His sword did slash through the monster's neck but, it was too shallow. The slash didn't cut off the monster's entire neck. The monster was still alive and Jun had become his prey.

Raiden stood there realizing he had failed. His disappointment at that moment was unmeasurable.
