Mana Test

"Mmmm... what happened?" I spoke slowly opening my eyes

After my vision cleared I saw Frig moving around with plates in her hand.

"You passed out from awakening your circuits master," Frig replied placing plates on the table before me.

"I see...I know you said it would be bad but it was worse than I thought," I groaned sitting up

Looking down at the table I saw multiple plates of different food filling the area.

"Did you make all of this?" I asked turning to Frig

"Yes Master I hope it is all to your liking," Frig said with a slight bow standing next to me

"Well I won't be able to finish all of this sit-down and eat with me," I said pointing to the food

"Do not worry master I shall eat later this food is for you," she replied

"But food tastes better when you're eating it with someone," I said, holding a plate to her.

Hesitating for a second Frig finally grabbed the plate before sitting beside me. But even then she did not take a bite she just kept looking at me with large eyes filled with worry.

With a small laugh, I picked up the fork and took a bite of the pasta she made. Once the food made contact with my mouth my mind went into shock from how good it was. Even in my past life, I had never tasted food this good.

"Is it to your liking?" Frig asked nervously

"This is amazing Frig; it's some of the best good I have ever eaten," I said taking another bite.

"I see I am glad," she replied with a small smile watching me eat.

After eating all the food Frig made for me I was finally full and my body felt full of energy.

"What the hell. Your food gives buffs?" I asked surprised at the notifications

"Yes; my sub-class is cook and when it became s rank I was able to make food that buffs people. My sons would always eat them before going to battle," Frig said with a small smile

"This is amazing. I feel bad for whoever had to fight them," I replied

"Yes...those boys were great warriors," Frig said with a sad tone in her voice

(Damn this is probably a sensitive topic)

"Sorry for bringing up your past," I apologized

"No need to apologize master it was me who spoke of it first," she replied with a cheerful tone again

"I see. Also, Frig you don't have to call me master you are a companion, not a servant," I said

"But I am a servant," she replied

(Is this how all the people I summon going to be like) I thought 

"Well...then I order you to call me Victor. You are older than me and you are more knowledgeable than me. Having you call me master would be disrespectful," I ordered

"...I see very well than M...Victor," she hesitantly said

"Better," I said with a small smile

"Fring since my mana circuits have been opened how do I use the mana in my body?" I asked

"That is very simple first you should close your eyes and focus only on my voice," Frig said moving a chair to sit in front of me.

Closing my eyes I waited for her next instructions.

"Now feel your body. The heart pumping, your blood racing through your veins, your lungs taking in air. and your brain sends signals to every part of you,"

"Now one by one ignore all of those things happening and focus on something else within your body. A part of you that isn't physical,"

As she said this I began losing parts of my body. I could no longer feel my chest moving up and down; my heart pumping blood. I couldn't even hear Frig's voice anymore I was left in complete darkness.

Slowly I opened my eyes and I found myself in the middle of a night sky. The only thing accompanying me was a small pond with a golden fish swimming in circles.

Moving towards the pond I reached out a hand but instead of my hand it was an outline made from a dime blue light. 

"What happened to me?"

Focusing back on the pond I touched the surface and the small fish moved to my finger and placed its head against it. Once it did a giant ripple of golden energy exploded from our contact and I felt a connection form with the fish. 

Both our own being yet the same life at the same time.

The next moment I felt something burning my palm. Looking at it I watch as the key leaves my palm and begins to change.

At first, it was half key and half sword, but just then it changed into a complete sword before entering my body again.

Knowing what this meant I looked down at the fish who stared back at me.

"I will return," I said closing my eyes

Once I opened my eyes again I was back in my living room and with Frig. but unlike before a bright light was glowing off my body and the objects in the room all floated around me including Frig who had a concerned look on her face.

Standing up I held my hands out and slowly placed everything down where it belonged before closing off the flow of energy.

"Ma...Victor, what was that? The energy that exploded from your body?"

"I'm sorry for scaring you Frig. I was just learning something new could you tell me what you saw?" I asked

"Well as I was walking you through feeling mana you opened your eyes but this time they were glowing a bright gold and you released a dense energy that traveled a long distance. The next thing I knew everything was floating and the image was burned into your chest," she said pointing at me 

Looking down at my chest I saw the tattoo of the golden koi on my chest. but unlike other tattoos, this one was swimming around in circles just like when I first met it.
