Opportunity does not knock until you make a door

Touching the second page, instead of receiving a flow a pictures in her mind, Lily felt an extremely pleasant feeling invading her. Brought by an impulse, Lily sat down in a meditating pose and stayed still. The feeling kept on gushing into her, whenever she thought she could move, another surge came forward keeping her immobile. If Lily had to describe it, it was akin to the warmth of a gentle fire in the middle of a freezing winter night or the shy rays of a morning summer sun.

As she was meditating, it felt her body was getting better and better. This technique seemed to be focused on refining and healing her body.

While in that state, Lily body was irradiating an aura of dim light. After a long while, the waves stopped and Lily was able to move again but Lily had...already fell into a deep sleeping state.

At her bedside, Yang was pensively guarding her.

"2 days and her potential had increased by so much. This booklet is indeed special. And she is lso fully healed"

Since she recovered completely, Yang would have to return her back and then he wouldn't be able to visit her for long while.

He looked at her with longing eyes then took her hand in his and pressed it lightly. When more lines added to the pattern that was already on the hand, he smiled with satisfaction. He took a letter out of his vest and left it on the pillow next to her.

"My time is up. Be well Young Mistress until we meet again."

When Lily woke up, in the cold room, she was alone. In front of her eyes, the letter was the first thing she laid her eyes on. It was a short map on how to exit room and 3 word : Please stay safe. Looked like this secret room was connected to a corridor of secret passage ways across the valley. She thought she would have to stay cooped here for a longer period of time. From the looks of it, if Yang left her this letter, it must mean she was well enough to get out and that she would not see him soon.

Lily got up, put the booklet in her dress and prepared to exit the secret room. She was however anxious. Would the assassin be waiting for her? As she walked through, Lily did not noticed she had missed the right door and ended up getting lost.

Opening a random door, she seemed to have ended up in some sort of office. A blue curtains was covering her from other people's view but she seemed to be able to see through. The Master was sitting reading and a man covered in black was reporting to him.

When the secret guard felt her presence in the room, he was immediately wary but not sensing any threathning or murdering aura, he just signed to the Master of the Valley and quietly stood still, awaiting orders.

"You may come out. It's quite a lack of manner to eavesdrop." The Master said calmly.

"I didn't hear anything anyway but even if I did, I didn't mean to. I am sorry Master." Lily was quite embarrassed and came out of her hiding place.

With a wave of his hand, the Master dismissed the secret guard and put his reading material on the desk, stood up to look at Lily.

On first glance, the Master could tell she had practiced some of the teaching in the booklet. He was surprised by her progress as he thought she would still be in the midst of figuring it. He had intentionally locked the booklet with a blood mechanism so that no one but her could access it.

"Not bad. Where were you the past 2 days?"

"Master, I have been attacked and when I woke up I standing here. I don't know where I was or how I ended up in your office."

For some reasons, Lily was reluctant to share any details about Yang and didn't t want to reveal the secret rooms, so she lied.

"A disciple should not lie to her Master. I will let it pass today but make it so it is the last time."

Lily was quite startled. She didnt think she would get caught so easily.

"Master, the important point is I got attacked suddenly in the library. Your disciple almost died there."

"This Lord knows. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. You survived and you are indeed stronger now."

Hearing this, Lily was starting to get angry. This Master didn't seem to care for her safety. Was he the person who sneaked attacked her?

"If This Lord wanted your life, This Lord would not bother saving it in the first place..."

Lily was even more embarrassed. Was the Lord able to read her mind???

"Instead of wasting your time here, shouldn't you be practicing your training? This Lord have high expectations"
