Chapter 5: I'm...

Third Person's P.O.V.

"You won't stand a chance against me, Torii. Be it Flairs or Physical Combat, you will just die. You yourself know that, right, big brain?" Klyde asked arrogantly.

"What an insult." Torii nonchalantly said as he rolled his eyes. "No can do."

As soon as Torii said no, another explosion happened to Torii, however, the result was still the same. When the smoke was gone, so was Torii's armor. Torii approached him. As he walked, Klyde looked at his whole body, examining every detail.

"Are you sure you want to take my bad side? For your information, my Flair is Explosion. I can create and enhance any explosions within 30 meters. Think carefully, Torii. I will ask you one last time. Is this your final choice?" Klyde asked.

"Are you effing deaf?" Torii glared at him.

"Guess it can't be helped then. What are your last words?" Klyde asked, and Torii mumbled something.

"Ha?" Klyde confusedly asked.

"Hotdog!" Torii giggled.

Torii disappeared, and the girl was shocked. Klyde walked away, and so were the man and the girl.

*2 minutes later*

Torii was in his basement again, eating Oreos dipped in Peanut Butter. As he ate his snack, his mind was busy planning something. He knew for a fact that Klyde is a formidable opponent, and as time goes by, he grows stronger and stronger. If he doesn't take action, Klyde will be the biggest threat in the future.

"Change my face! Now my easygoing life is ruined because of you!" Torii shouted as loud as he can, eating the Oreos dipped in Peanut Butter continuously. Since he already practiced his Flair, no one noticed someone shouting.

"Tomorrow is definitely the best choice to fight him. However, there's something that feels a little bit off. Klyde isn't in his usual self. It's like... he changed. I definitely need to raise my guard from now on." Torii mumbled to himself.

Torii continuously ate his food. Despite his slim yet muscular physique, he has won every single competition of food in his life. Torii has already finished seven jars of Peanut Butter and a ton of Oreos, yet he's still hungry.

'I need to strengthen my Flairs. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who has two Flairs. Well, I'm still not that sure, but since the Notifications, I'm 90% sure. Anyway, having two flairs is already an advantage, however, Klyde's experience is way too strong compared to mine. I also have to look out for their numbers as well. Hmm. What to do...' Torii thought to himself, his face looking troubled.

Silence won around the basement, yet in Torii's mind, it's like he's in the middle of a concert.

'I need to know more about this world and use it to my advantage.' Torii again thought to himself.

He stood up, enthusiasm running towards his whole body. Confidently, he determined how many the number of monsters and what types of monsters above him are. When he looked at it, he was surprised. Despite most of the monsters ran away, finding humans ad any living beings, there were still many of them left.

There are almost a hundred of them above his house, and there are almost a dozen different types. He immediately looked for somewhere where he can train, somewhere where he can fight without that many casualties.

After a few minutes of wandering around, Torii stopped, for he saw a house that is only moderately destroyed. Compared to other houses, -- which are basically torn into a trillion pieces -- this house stands still amidst the situation. The house is bigger than a normal house, has 3 floors, -- leaving aside the basement and the rooftop -- and has a big lawn and backyard.

The house has two trees on its lawn, and weird enough, only a few tens of leaves have fallen. However, there was blood scattered around, and there were cut marks on the wall. The windows were unscathed as well, and there were no signs of life inside. Another weird thing.

With curiosity in Torii's mind, -- weirdness as well -- he looked inside. Since there was no open space, he traveled through the walls, as little vibration as he could. All this time, he closed his eyes. Well, what worse could matter anyway? Death? Pfft.

When Torii was inside, he slowly appeared. To Torii's surprise, there was a man inside the house. Right in front of him while holding an iron spear pointed towards him, on top of that. The man was wearing a green sweater and black joggers paired with black sneakers. The man had pink lips and ski-slope nose, as well as moderately bushy brows, and has grey-colored eyes.

The man was tall and muscular with golden tan skin. The man also had curly deep chestnut hair, and is approximately 18 years of age. The man was also wearing a pure gold ring on his middle finger. Both Torii and the man were confused when they saw each other, but the man was startled.

"Yeah, you should put that down. I am not a burglar or any o the sort. I just wanted to know whether or not there is a person inside this house. I should just leave, right? Yeah, I should just leave." Torii said as he laughed awkwardly.

When Torii was about to leave, the man, to Torii's surprise, threw his weapon far away from them and knelt down in front of him. Torii looked at the man with both confusion and shock in his eyes.

"Please don't leave! That's right! You can use me as a decoy when fighting the monsters. Just please don't leave. Please. I beg of you. Please don't leave!" The man begged Torii.

Torii was completely silenced by what he heard. However, Torii knew for a fact to not trust everyone easily, especially since everyone despises him from the bottom of their hearts.

"Please stand up, Mister," Torii said, and the man hurriedly stood up. "Before I say anything, can I tell you one thing first?" Torii asked, making the man confused.

"Sure thing, Master!" Replied the man happily.

"Stop calling me Master," Torii said.

"Uhm... o-okay, M-mister...." The man said.

"Torii Denver. My name is... Torii Denver. Are you disgusted now?"
