The Pizza was gone in a second and both Richard and Kyle looked at Sniffy with high expectations in their eyes.
Sniffy was seeing this and could only giggle at the sight of the two and was standing up. Motioning them to follow along, she moved to the couch and Kyle and Richard followed her, after they jumped up in a hurry.
"Here you go. I did the best I could and hope that you will like them." Sniffy was saying while she snipped her fingers and 3 set of robes appeared in front of them. Richards one looked almost complete black but had this time again a color hidden inside it, which could only be seen if the sunlight was shining on it. This time it was red. It looked marvelous and Richard could not wait and put it on.
On the robe could be seen his favorite animal resting on the front side. Now, Snow had somehow evolved and was now a Magical Snow Wolf, that they had seen in the zoo. It was as beautiful as the real one and looked majestically and powerful even in its sleep.
In front of Kyle appeared a blood red Robe that had the deep red color of blood. It was not the first time he received clothes from Sniffy and he loved every piece he had received from her. On his robes was seen a gloomy and dark castle with bats flattering around all over it. The moon was shining high above it. The picture did seem like it was out of some Dracula movie and it really fit Kyle´s style.
Sniffys one was the complete opposite to the other robes and had a dark green color with a forest full of life on it.
They all put them on and Sniffy said, while they studied their pictures with interest besides a conjured mirror Richard had summoned.
"I guess you like them, but that is only their normal look. If you concentrate on it, then you can let it assume almost any form that you imagine. I thought that it will be much more convenient this way and we would not be having any trouble in a fight, because they would get in the way in a physical fight.
It is also way easier to wear it all the time in such a way. They are also able transform into a ring that than can be worn. Therefore, we have no need to take them off since they are made out of a strong fabric that is known for its magical resistance and they have the best enchantments on them that I am currently able to cast.
I mostly focused on the aspect of physical defense and the other few enchants are only for self-repairing if they are not damaged too much. Other than that, there is the featherlight for almost not having any weight and the last enchantment is that they can not get dirty. Mud and other things will just slide down from it, that also includes the not covered places like head and fingers."
Richard and Kyle could only run to Sniffy and give her a hug while saying." Thanks Sniff, they are perfect." They said this in unison and Richard remembered something and handed her the ribbons he had bought for her, with a light embarrassed look on his face while he was saying.
"These are for you, I found them in town which I visited and thought they would look great on you."
Hearing and seeing that, Sniffy jumped at Richard and hugged and thanked him for that. After that she put them all away in her pouch, apart from the cyan one which she put in her hair and formed a ponytail with it.
It was like Christmas has come early this year and Richard and Kyle were transforming their clothes for a whole hour and played around with them. This turned into some kind of competition and they started to roleplay with the clothes. Now a pirate and a skeleton could be seen chasing each other while Sniffy swirled around while looking like a clown.
One of the best things of Sniffys work was the fact that when they stood in a 2-3 meters circle around each other, then the worlds on their clothes could interact with each other.
It was funny looking as there were blood red bats flying around Sniffys forest while a Snow Wolf stood on the castle walls and howled at the moon on Kyles robes.
After they played around for this long, they remembered that it was already past 10 pm and they decided to call it a day and go to bed early, to be ready for tomorrow. Kyle said goodbye and told them that he would get them at dawn tomorrow, while he changed his robes back to their original look and waved his hands and was leaving them.
Sniffy and Richard then got ready for bed and fell asleep after this long day.
The moon was gradually reaching the end of its cycle and the sun was beginning to glimpse over the horizon.
That was the time Kyle would get them and they were already good to go. They had had breakfast and were now waiting at the entrance of the hotel. Looking around the city where everyone was asleep right now.
Sniffy held some sandwiches in her hand which were for Kyle, because she knew that he would not have had anything to eat at this hour.
In the distance they saw a person running towards them with a cloud of dust forming behind him, because of his fast speed. Kyle got to them really fast and said good morning with an excited look on his face. When Sniffy handed him the sandwiches, he was glad that she knew him this well.
Eating the sandwiches, he was then waling with Richard and Sniffy towards the west entrance of the city and he said while munching on his meal.
"My father and uncle said that they are meeting us outside the city. I don't know where we will go to, because my dad told me that it would be much better to be more secretive about this whole thing. I guess he got your warning and is acting accordingly. By the way, thanks for the sandwiches Sniffy, they taste really good."
After Kyle told them this, they reached their meeting spot and saw 5 people already waiting there.
The trio was wearing their robes and they inspected the 5 waiting people. Three of them were glad in complete black cloaks and were wearing some weird masks on their faces. These masks were colored in a deep red and almost black color.
Next to them stood two people that were wearing much more casual clothes compared to the 3 supposed guards. Kyle walked in front of his father and introduced his friends to him.
"Father, this are Sniffy and Richard, as I told you already. They are my close friends and I hope you will get along with them." Kyle was standing in front of his father who was quite a bit taller than Kyle and stood at the height of 1,8 m. He had a slim build which was usual for vampires and he wore a tight fitting leather amor on his body that looked strong and powerful.
At the belt could be found 2 swords strapped onto it and he had blood red hair that did not resemble Kyles at all, who had raven black hair. His eyes were looking like an abyss and Richards and Sniffys almost lost their souls inside them, but he spoke to the two of them what broke them out of their stupor.
"Its nice to actually meet you two, I have heard a lot about you from Kyle and I can only hope that you are aware that you can be in danger on this trip. Right now, it´s your last chance to stay. It is your decision."
Rodolfo looked at them and found them quite interesting, two wizard children who somehow made a friend of his own son, quite curious indeed. He gave them a last chance to back out of this adventure, but he would look down on them quite a bit when they jumped off right now.
He only wanted the best friends for his son and he would not like to see two friends of Kyle who would stay behind, because some danger is involved. It would not have been any problem if they never volunteered themselves, but after they said that they would come with them, Rodolfo would look down on them if they got back from their word.
People that constantly changed their mind could not be trusted. He became aware of this insight at the worst moment of his live.
Richard then introduced himself and Sniffy, because she was not good with new people and a was a tad bit shy.
"Its our pleasure Lord Night, we are more than honored to be part of todays adventure and have been really looking forward to it. After all we heard the reason for it from Kyle."
Richard said that after he did a courtesy bow while Sniffy did the same. Rodolfo nodded as he heard this and had a nice first impression of the two of them. He was also quite intrigued at the robes that they wore and found the pictures on them really interesting.
Kyle then turned to the person standing a bit behind Rodolfo and introduced him.
"Good morning Uncle Kellam." Kyle then walked toward his uncle Kellam and shook his hand. Kellam was a bit shorter than his father and stood at 1,75 meters. He wore the same nice form fitting leather amor alongside a battle axe strapped to his back. It was quite the picture, like almost all vampires, he had a slim figure and the battle axe gave him a somewhat menacing look. His clothes were colored in a black color and it enhanced the look with his axe.
His hair also was the same red color of Rodolfo and it was more than likely that Kyle had gotten his hair from his mothers' side.
Richard and Sniffy moved to greet him and Richard said good morning while shaking his hands. Kellam shook the hands of Richard and used more power on his grip when he shook Richard's hand, but was really surprised at the boy's expression. It did not even change one bit and then he said.
"Quite the nice handshake that you have there, I am looking forward what else you are capable of."
"Its nice to meet you too, and yes I am really proud of my own strength. Thanks for the compliment."
Richard answered in a warm tone but secretly cursed Kellam when he thought back at the hand shake.
'What the hell, that would totally have broken my hand if I did not have my current physique. What did he think? He should have seen that I am a wizard, why did he have to do that?'
Sniffy was not having the same problem as she did not shake Kellam hands at all, after she saw Richard's glint in his eyes and knew that something happened. She was just standing a bit behind Richard and next to Kyle and nodded her head slightly towards Kellam in greeting.
After they greeted Kellam they got some distance from him and faced the guards. Kyle also explained to them who the guards were, while he looked in their direction.
"This are three of our most powerful guards and even I don't know how they are looking like. I have never seen their real faces. They are always covered up and even when I once followed one of them for close to a week. I have never once been able to look past his clothes or his mask, they wear them 24/7.
Its like they are no real people, they only ever speak when they have to report something or when asked, but never do any small talk. After I tried to speak with them for some time I was then completely spent afterwards. You don't know how time consuming it can be when they won´t answer on their own and you need to ask them for everything."
While Kyle was explaining these things to Richard and Sniffy, Kellam and Rodolfo were conversing with each other.
The three guards stood to the side and did not move their body's one bit or talk. To Richard and Sniffy they looked more like sculptures than vampires and he was quite curious how strong they would be.
Rodolfo started talking, after he took a look around the group.
"Then let's get going, we have quite the journey ahead of us. I will take you three. Kellam can you take the Guards?
Kyle then asked before his father reached them.
"Where are we headed to? We are all quite curious about our destination."
Rodolfo then answered in a mysterious sounding tone. "You will see it in a bit, but for that we need a bit of time. Our destination is quite far away and it will take us a few hours of constantly using blood teleportation, to reach it."
Hearing this Richard then thought. 'That should mean that blood teleportation should have also some limits like apparating. People using apparating will only ever be able to cover only so far of a distance between each teleport. I have read about this in some books and it looks like blood teleportation has the same shortcoming.
To be able to go further distances you would have to put more energy into the spell and the further away your destination is, the more strain it takes onto your energy and your mind. It also takes more strain on the body but since they are vampires that should be of no concern.
Maybe the strain on the mind is too much and therefore magical folks need to take many little steps to reach their goal. It also should be harder when more people are transported at once.'
Thinking this Richard could not help but ask out of curiosity. "Lord Night, could we not have just used a portkey? That would have been a little easier, no?"
Rodolfo heard this and a smile appeared on his face. "Please call me Rodolfo, I hear that Lord title to often and its fine, as we will see each other much more and it is a lot easier on the ears.
But now to the answer your question. Yes, it would have been a lot easier to use a portkey to where we will be going, but I wanted to do this trip in utmost secrecy.
A portkey would have meant that we had one more person knowing of our destination, that would have been only a weak link. Therefore, we will use the old way."
Saying this and thinking that Richard was quite the smart fellow, he then said to them that they should gather around him.
Richard and Sniffy were a bit confused but looking at Kyles face that showed only excitement on it, they did it without any question.
Rodolfo saw their bewildered expressions and was laughing at this in his mind. After the trio stood around him with about half a meter between him and the kids, he then said.
"Let's go." All Richard could see inside Rodolfo's eyes for a moment was a blood red glow and then he felt the same feeling that he had when he was traveling with Kyle yesterday.
It was a pull that he felt on himself and then he was sure that he was sucked into a hole that Rodolfo had created. It felt nothing like apparating and it was much better than that.
When apparating, he would feel like he was sucked into a little hole and then be compressed even more to a little thing like an atom, but blood teleportation only felt like he was floating in some kind of void and in the next moment they arrived at the next place. Only to be feeling the same thing again.
This lasted for some time and after continuously teleporting around for a few hours, they stopped inside a forest.
Richard was now more than happy, that they apparating on this trip. He was sure that he would have felt completely dead right now if they would have apparated this many times.
Knowing that they were somewhere on another continent, because he could remember seeing water under his feet on a few moments while they teleported. He also was able to smell the salt in the air above the water. Therefore, he was pretty sure that they got over the ocean.
Rodolfo looked around and then said, while he was looking at the healthy faces of Richard and Sniffy.
"Its good that you could handle this many teleportation's without a hitch, but I need to take a break to recharge my energy again and to be at my peak when we will get to our destination.
We are about 3-4 more blood teleportation's away from our goal. We will stay the night here, and as we are now on another continent the time is different and it looks like it is almost time for the sun to set."
He said this and then began to sit down where he was and started regenerating his spent energy.
The trio looked around and found no one beside them. They got to the conclusion that they would meet Kellam and the guards at their destination tomorrow.
Seeing nothing but trees around them, they began to set up a tent to stay the night in and got a fire running.
That was just for the feeling of an outside trip, because they would cook their dinner in the kitchen inside the tent.
The tent did cost Richard a lot of money but it was worth every penny of it. It had everything one would need inside it and was much like a house. The tent had 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
It was the first time the tent was put up and Richard marveled at the thing that was magic again.
'I really cannot get enough of this. Magic is so intriguing and it surprises me every time in a new way. The tent was just a mat that I had to put on the ground and all what I had to do was to put some magic into it.
After that, it sprang to live and formed itself into a normal looking muggle tent. But now standing inside it and seeing how big it is, it's amazing.'
Inside the tent was a big kitchen with everything one needed to cook and the trio started to set up the table and began the cooking process.
