Author POV
Logan paced back and forth in his apartment, frustration and anger boiling inside of him. He couldn't understand why Liam was so insistent on making him let go of Athena. It didn't make any sense. If anyone should be fighting for Athena, it should be him.
"How can you say that I should let go of her?" Logan shouted, his voice filled with bitter resentment. "You're just trying to get me out of the way so you can have her for yourself!"
Liam's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, hurt etched across his face. "Logan, that's not true. I care about Athena, yes, but not in the same way you do. I just want what's best for her."
Logan scoffed, his anger intensifying. "Save your lies, Liam. I've seen the way you look at Athena when you think no one is watching. You can't fool me."
Liam's eyes widened in disbelief. "Logan, you're mistaken. I've never looked at Athena in that way. I genuinely want her to be happy, even if it's not with me."
