Chapter 46: The spirit speaker's history!!!
Lancelot Jr was extremely delighted with himself, he was happy with the outcome of things he practiced in secret as well as the ones he studied.
Easily he was ahead of the class. The voice helped him tremendously to horn his skills at the highest possible capabilities of that level.
He was also secretly practicing other elements. He didn't know why the voice told him to do that but he always obeyed since the voice had always done everything for his own sake.
By the weekend Lancelot Jr was a bit happy that he was going to see Clara, but his mind had far matured ahead of that of his peers. With all the knowledge, experience, and history he had gathered, he felt like an old man that had lived through the sands of time in a young boy's body.
He felt sympathy for Clara as he thought of her situation at the orphanage home, he felt powerless to help her since he couldn't do anything presently, he simply was too weak and uninfluential, he couldn't even help himself let alone somebody else.
He got out of bed at 6 am and walked out of the WAI dormitory.
He didn't have to worry about anything since there was at least one armed security personnel stationed everywhere, especially for him, since he was specially protected by the Principal;
'A priced treasure should be well looked after lest it is stolen or lost to carelessness and prying eyes', this was the principal's thought on
Lancelot Jr.
Lancelot Jr had been researching the spirit speaker in secret since the voice won't reveal its identity. Lancelot Jr was extremely curious,
'l need to know what this voice means, it has been my support all this while, and I have no way to be grateful to it, I don't even know what it is'
Lancelot thought within himself as he walked to the library.
Suddenly the voice spoke;
"You don't have to worry about my identity, I have fused with you and also a part of your soul . I can't reveal my identity for now, but I can tell you what a spirit speaker is."
"You don't have to waste your training period on this meaningless research. Let me tell you so we can start training. ...You have not mastered other elements, you need to master them on time, that would be your advantage over other powerful foes"
Lancelot Jr nodded his head in agreement as he listened. He always felt the love that came from the voice, like a motherly and tender warmth that
always washed over him whenever it spoke out, he was always happy to hear the voice and respectful and obedient towards it.
After Lancelot entered the library, he sat down in his usual corner.
The librarian was alerted of his presence and woken up early from her quarters since
Lancelot Jr had to be 'well attended to' always as per the instruction of the principal, this made him an easy target, but none has succeeded so far in unleashing their ever-increasing wrath, incensed against him.
The Librarian, entered shortly after Lancelot Jr as she grumbled;
"Seriously? Gabriel, the weekend is the only time I get to have a decent amount of sleep, yet you dragged me out here at 6 am, couldn't you wait a few hours?"
She was so angry and wasn't planning on hiding her feelings.
Lancelot Jr felt bad for her but he remained
quiet as if what she was saying was none of his business,
"Good morning Mrs. Adams, please I need something on water nation history, especially one that relates to spirit speaker!"
He asked without minding the intense stare coming from Mrs. Adams.
She wanted to lash out at him, 'this small demon'
She thought, but then she remembered his backer, 'Principal Gladys' and calmed down to mutter to herself,
'Someday I will deal with you so mercilessly you this scoundrel, hmph',
She went to look for something on the water nation elemental history, she piled a couple of books together and slammed them on the table around which Lancelot Jr was sitting, and walked away giving him a cold stare.
For a typical 5-year-old, that would probably
scare them into tears but Lancelot Jr was well ahead of his peers, his mind had lived through time, literally.
Every single history lesson with the spirit speaker had broadened his horizon, he felt like he had seen so much for such a little mind, yet his mind was capable of handling it.
As he sat down, the voice spoke again
"l told you not to bother about the spirit speaker , and focus on your training, you are using the clues I gave you to research the spirit speaker"
Lancelot Jr held an indifferent expression, he wanted to find it at all costs.
"Okay I'll tell you!" the voice said, after which, Lancelot Jr entered his trance like state where he reviewed information directly in his mind, as it was impressed upon it.
"Long time ago, the water nation had a very powerful goddess, one of her major abilities was spirit refining, she could turn abled bodies into spirits or produce spirits out of her willful command."
"To suppress the tyranny of the Air nation at a time she had to create the first spirit speaker although it wasn't as perfect as I am now but it accompanied the water nation soldiers into battle and aided them to a slim victory."
"A spirit speaker initially was a spirit being that could give crucial direction when needed, it was like a third eye that watched and at times could borrow the power of a group of people to unleash a powerful attack. A spirit speaker could stand on its own as an entity or could merge as I did with a person's soul.. "
The images appeared in Lancelot Jr's head as if he was watching it live, he could feel every moment.
As time went on, the librarian had slept off at this point, she didn't even mind that anyone could walk in.
2 hours passed by quickly and Lancelot Jr got up to leave for training, he had gotten the information he so desperately needed and felt
'My personal spirit speaker', he beamed with happiness as he left the library.
