Chapter 91 : Sword Play 2!!

Lancelot Jr had dedicated himself to the constant sword and spear practice. Day in and day out he would practice with the sword and the spear.

Elder Kali would come once in a while to give him pointers on the errors he was making and how to properly learn a sword or spear move, but Elder Di never showed up since the day he gave him the manual for sword techniques.

Alisha appeared close to where Lancelot Jr as soon as he had raised his sword and she used flames to spin around the swung sword as she ran into his arms playfully.

Lancelot Jr was startled, he was afraid he had accidentally struck her. "Alisha, he careful, I could have hurt you just now!" Alisha simply smiled and struck out her tongue at him.

"There is a competition going on amongst the monks, it is a ranking competition to rank the best and strongest amongst the monks. Elders were not involved, only just the senior monks and junior monks. Although the entire monastery occupants would be present. I want you to put into this competition to test your progress."

Alisha said it with a serious expression. Her mood was extremely focused, expecting a positive answer from Lancelot Jr. "I'm not a monk, do you think they would allow me to participate?" Lancelot Jr asked, as he held his left hand to his chin while the right hand was placed underneath across for support, while he was pondering on his chances of being allowed to participate.

"l think....." Alisha was about to respond when a strange wooden object was stretched out of thin air by a thin pale white hand, right in front of Lancelot Jr.

The person who stretched it gradually became visible. Her green eyes, smooth white skin, and pointy ears became visible. Elder Kali was seen by both Lancelot Jr and Alisha.

Even though Lancelot Jr had seen her a couple of times, he was still as shocked as Alisha was to see her at that point. He didn't mind Alisha seeing her but he was surprised that she would appear before Alisha or anyone else.

"Take this token, I've obtained a spot for you in the ranking match. Don't let me down" she smiled and placed the token in the hands of a dumbfounded Lancelot Jr, who simply took the token and watched Elder Kali disappear.

"Who is she?" Alisha later brought herself to ask, after being confused and curious for a couple of awkward silence minutes.

Lancelor Jr shook his head and spoke, "you know how Elder Di is known to be the 7th most powerful Elder in this monastery..?" Lancelot Jr asked as he gave Alisha time to properly process the question.

"Hmmm.." She responded with a nod.

"Well, she is the most powerful Elder in this monastery, her name is Elder Kali, she has lived for millions of years," Lancelot Jr said with a serious expression and paused before he continued.

"l had been training here on my own trying to understand the sword techniques that elder Di gave me, but it was so tough as I didn't get any pointers from Elder Di, only a manual of instructions nothing else."

"During this struggle, she appeared out of thin air and requested for my sword. She performed one of the most delightful swordplays I have ever seen, and since then she had been coming once in a while to train me, her knowledge of weapons is unrivaled, well according to me" Lancelot Jr explained with his voice low and clear.

"So that is how it is," Alisha said as a smile crept across her face, "l thought you were having another girlfriend" Alisha joked. Lancelot Jr said nothing, he knew it was a trap, he knew her too well and her seemingly harmless jokes that could blow out into something much bigger.

He then looked outside the veil from where the huge commotion was happening, "let us go to the battle area, I should not waste this token after all" Lancelot Jr said with a wry smile on his face.

They both left, Zain and Lamil noticed that they were leaving, so they also got up to follow them

Zain and Lamil also practiced a lot but they never interfered whenever they noticed that Lancelor Jr was practicing or that he was with Alisha, they simply gave him those free time, but outside of these conditions, they could show up to speak to him.

As they got close to Lancelot Jr and Alisha, Zain asked a question, "are we all going to watch the battle? I wanted to Initially go by myself to watch the match, but when I saw that you guys weren't going, I decided to give up the idea but now it seems we are all going"

"Lancelot Jr's girlfriend had obtained a token for him to fight," Alisha said playfully.

Both Lamil and Zain shared a look and then looked at Lancelot Jr, "somebody is in trouble"

Lamil said with a chuckle.

'l want full details," Zain said as his voice carried a pitch of delight.

'l was opportuned to meet the most powerful Elder in this monastery..." Lancelot Jr wanted to start to explain.

"You mean Elder Kali?" Zain and Lamil chorused the question.

"You both know her name?" Lancelot Jr and Alisha were surprised by this and they both asked.

"We were curious before your contest with Elder Di, we wanted to know the identity of the 6 strongest Elders in this monastery, initially nobody wanted to tell us, but eventually Senior Monk Lui was the one to help us out by giving us a list of names and naturally we knew that the first on the list of names is Elder Kali, an unfathomable and extremely powerful half-human half-elf" Zain explained with enthusiasm.

"Oh, so that is how it is," Alisha said. Lancelot Jr simply nodded.

"As I was having a discussion with Alisha about Joining the tournament to test out my progress in training, Elder Kali appeared and handed me a token, and she has been the one training me in private'

"Wait a minute, you mean Elder Kali is not only alive and well, but she is also training you in private? That is incredible." Lamil exclaimed.

The group walked till they got to the area where the competition was being held. The shouts were erupting to a whole different level. Two senior ranked monks were fighting, the one on the left jumped up and performed an air balance kick in series as he targeted the head of the opponent.

The opponent turned flawlessly and issued a simple casual punch, this punch carried immense power, it immediately sent the opponent on the left flying, by the time he landed there was blood flowing out of his

mouth,

His hands were broken, he looked pale as if he had been through hell, he just laid where he was, too exhausted to do anything. He felt like his entire energy reserves had been drained as he was contemplating the path to take.

The senior monk that won, noticed Lancelot Jr's presence and smiled. Then he reaches his hand towards Lancelot Jr, "hey descendant, this is how real men fight"

Elder Di was also in the crowd, he had watched one of his disciples completely knock out his opponent before him, he had been delighted before he saw Lancelot Jr. He also saw a token in his hands, he was surprised. "This stupid boy will spoil my record" he had absolutely zero faith in Lancelot Jr.
