Hierarchy of Clubs

Today in school we had lunch together as a complete club. While we walk along the small park of the school. Enjoying lunch by the park bench talking about topics we may tackle for later's club meeting.

We gladly enjoyed eating lunch, laughing at the topics we had talking to each other. Suddenly a group of random students came to our place and had a few words to give us…

"Seriously, Hailey and Sylve got friends now?" One of the male students mocked us.

"I can't believe they managed to fool three freshmen into believing magic is still relevant." Continued by one of the female students.

"Now, everyone, let's not get hasty. They just need to understand the truth that magic is no longer needed in this world. Hi my name is Krome I'm the club president of the Advance Tech Research Club.

We're actually looking for great talents to join our club. Seems like you three were mind-controlled or somewhat used tactics to make you believe magic is still a thing. But if you join our humble abode we will give you the utmost best experience in the school." Krome proposed the idea to us.

Seems like Mia isn't having it nor does Elizabeth. I don't mind it but I mean they are disturbing our peace here. And it's not like they can do anything to this club.

"You seem to have no respect for our predecessors!" Shouted Mia as she pointed at him.

"Magic isn't something to overlook after the fact that our history shares a huge chunk for magic." Elizabeth added to Mia's response.

"Huh? You think you can fight against our club prez like that?" One of the female members pulls Mia's necktie.

"Settle down now you guys. It's not easy to break them to our side since magic is a pretty complex thing. It'll take time for them to understand that technology is far better than obsolete knowledge." Krome orders his members to leave us alone.

"You two better watch your mouth!" Said the female member.

"How about you Miss Beatrix. You're one of the best athlete's out there. Have you tried using technology to improve your training for track and field duty?" Krome asked.

"I haven't considered it. Training with such equipment feels too artificial. And nothing really comes close from natural training." I replied.

"Why you littl-" The female member gets stopped by Krome.

"Spoken like a natural athlete. I understand it's hard to take on what is new into sport science. But sooner or later Miss Beatrix… Someone will outrun you on the field if you don't. Anyways let's go now, time should not be wasted, let's continue development for new machines!" Krome waves goodbye as they leave the park leaving a sour note on everyone's mouth.

Hailey sighs, while Sylve comforts her.

"Is this a normal occurrence?" I asked Hailey.

"Yeah, they have been attacking us for most of our life now after we reopened the Magic Research Club." Hailey replies with a sad face.

"They often try to bully us as much as possible, even physically sometimes as they almost did to Mia." Sylve responds.

"What you've said to them will place a target behind you Beatrix. I warn you to be careful now where you walk alone. The members there have been known to take care of their "business" outside of the school. Through means of gang attacks." Hailey warns me of the danger that I just placed myself at.

"I don't care what they can do. Not that I care about it. I can perfectly handle myself out there." I replied with confidence.

That lightened the mood a bit around us by shining some hope among everyone. It didn't stop us from enjoying today's club meeting and we had a lot of fun after it. We're practically over it after what happened today.

But something happened while I was walking back home…

"Seems like they move a lot quicker than I expected." I murmured.

While I tried to ignore the group of people following me. I can at least count them all… About 7 of them. 3 of which are most likely their hardest hitters.

Two dudes will come out of that corner in about… Now.

"Hey there cutie. Wanna have fun with us?" Said the dude in tinted glasses.

I tried the typical walking in the other direction to lure them in.

"We were just asking if you want to have fun with us?" Second person next to him tried to block me.

"Oh I'm busy right now I can't." I replied.

Hook, line, and sinker. Got them basically. The second guy shoved me to a dark alley. Seems like this is a perfect place.

"Hey you know messing with a highschooler isn't cool right?" I mocked.

"We were just being nice to you and asking you out to have fun… But you may want us to get more personal here." As the other dudes I predicted appeared behind them.

"Now let her know how we have fun with hard-assed women." Said the guy with glasses.

"Ok, then. Let's see how you do." I replied.

"Get her!" Second guy ordered the rest of the guys towards me.

I might need to tone down my techniques here with no magic. I might destroy them here. Let's take it easy here and make them regret their decision.

One of the 3 guys that I predict their muscle is gonna try to punch me out cold with a forward right punch. I parried and returned a solid right hook knocking him out. A single punch is still strong I guess.

"That guy was weak." I mocked them while being smug.

The rest stopped at their tracks after what I did. They probably got surprised by how much of a dude I took out despite the huge difference in size.

"Hnng. I wouldn't let you get away with this!" The second muscle guy tries to tackle me.

This time I'll try some Judo moves on him. With a basic grapple move I took him down to his surprise. And disjointed his left hand.

"Not gonna lie, he was heavier than the other guy. But nonetheless worthless." I turned serious after that.

With basic martial arts most of them were dead weights. I took down all of them with little to no effort even to much surprise. I told them something before I left.

"Tell your boss that your kind of tactics will never work on me." I remind them how not to mess with me.

Though I did get some information from one of the grunt's wallets and it seems like it is Krome that is pulling the strings of this mess.

The next day was a chilling surprise to the Advance Tech Research Club members that I was still standing there with my friends. Seems like they didn't want to interact with us for today. To be honest it was an embarrassing attempt that they wanted me out of the picture after what I told them about technology.

But I know that they'll soon become desperate to make us dissolve and disappear. Then again I have my highest priority to protect Elizabeth at all costs. So this extends to her colleagues as well. Yeah… That makes sense.

I kept one eye open towards any attempts at bullying anyone in the Magic Research Club. Which also I realize is now under the protection of my superiors too. Though I'll use that when things are really drastic for now it'll be my ace-in-a-hole.

Clubs here I guess have some kind of hierarchy system in this school. Kinda annoying since I was expecting none of it here. But I never thought I would see something that resembles who I take down in my missions.

Meanwhile in someone's mansion…

"I thought you imbeciles handled her. It was just one girl. ONE GIRL!" Sighed Krome.

"She overwhelmed us, boss." The glasses guy replied.

"Did she use magic on you?" Krome sounded pissed.

"No, sir, she took down everyone with her bare hands." As one of the muscle grunts responded.

"*sigh* Great, there goes her suspicion now. But that doesn't stop us from burying such an obsolete and worthless art. I won't let them have another revolution. I want to make my father proud that we'll finally end the lineage of magic." Krome sat down while smug about this.

"So what's the plan sir?" Asked one of the grunts.

"I have plans for the rest of that club. Make sure to use whatever we have in the armory that will take out those bastards." Krome schemes as he thinks of ways to make things hard for the Magic Research Club.

A spark of rivalry has started to ignite a long dead battle between beliefs and arts. Sooner or later chaos will soon follow once it bursts into flame. Only time can tell if the Magic Research Club finds a way to return to their former glory.

And return the respect the school used to have on the biggest influential club at the Nero City International High School. This will soon start into an interesting form of club war. Hopefully providing me with enough entertainment, don't let me down…

New day, new chapter enjoy the update!
