Chapter 17

Boom! An explosion nearby rocked Avecii's body, pulling him out of the deep daze. The large shadows above him staggered and moved backwards, away from him. Avecii felt someone pick up his body and heard them shouting to another individual to the left. The other individual pulled out a needle and injected it into Avecii's arm. Slowly, the shadows started to clear up as Avecii consciousness returned. When he blinked he saw Primo holding him in his arms as Meiko emptied the contents of the syringe into his arm. Tielmo and Rete were standing in front watching the four Spada members as they stared and breathed heavily from a distance.

"Avecii! Avecii are you alright!?" Primo shouted over him.

"Yeah… just a little tired… heh…" Avecii chuckled as he slowly tried to get up.

"It took you guys long enough." Avecii smiled.

"You should thank the old bastard that suddenly showed up." Rete replied.

"Old man?"Avecii looked puzzled.

"Yea, some very large old man showed up and said something about teaching a listen to a dumb son he raised and took over the fight," Tielmo explained, "He also said to tell you to keep Amo alive."

"Who was that though? And how does he know you?" Meiko wondered as Avecii got to his feet.

"So that old timer is still alive..." Avecii smiled remembering back to the old man he met earlier this morning, "Man… I'm gonna get yelled at later... sorry...."

"Now then, we'll worry about that later, right now we have to focus on these guys." Avecii tried to take a step forward only to collapse back down to one knee.

"Avecii, that shot was full of adrenaline, it'll still take a few more minutes for it to completely circulate through your body," Meiko instructed, "So just take it easy while we clear the path for you."

"The old man never said anything about these meatheads right?" Primo cracked his knuckles, "That means we can kill them."

"Be careful, remember-"

"Family comes first, the mission second!" The four said in unison.

Avecii lowered his head and smiled as he watched his four family members walking towards the Spada family members. Were they always this reliable… Avecii thought to himself as he felt Mia's hand on his shoulder. He turned his head and saw a gentle smile on her face, and glowing eyes. He felt his body relax as he let the adrenaline flow and watched from afar as his family members went to battle.
