I tucked her in as best as I could under the circumstances. I wanted to tell her everything would be fine, that I would always protect her. But in the end I just lightly shook my head and told her to sleep. She asked where I would sleep since where she was laying was barely large enough for one person. I just shook my head again and replied, "Not sleeping tonight. I must help keep watch. I cannot allow the crown princess to become injured." Of course she was unhappy with this. So I patiently explained that the coachmen were human like her and needed me to see what they were unable to. Must have finally made sense because she didn't argue any further. She laid back down and turned her back to me showing her displeasure and went to sleep. I sat there watching her and listening to what was going on outside the carriage. The night seemed to drag by, while I waited for it do be suitable to travel on. Once the coachmen said they were ready to go on, we left. I left her sleep, she hadn't slept nearly enough. A couple hours after we started back out, she woke up. I then instructed the coachmen to stop at the nearest town so the princess could eat.
