Meanwhile, Joyce, Will's mother was with the Sheriff, requesting him to look for Will. Hopper thinks Will is just pulling some sort of prank or something. Then Hopper goes with a situation in his life, when Joey says, "My Will won't. He is different than others. " Hopper tells how he screws with Chrissy Carpenter at the back of his father's car, when his parents thought he was on some debate team.

One word led to another and finally Hopper agreed to look into this matter.

But before he had agreed, he had already thought of a possible suspect, if this was a kidnapping. It was Will's father, Lonnie. Joyce was someone Hopper had known since his school days. And he might have developed something like a crush on her. This was also the reason why he suspected Lonnie from the beginning.

At Hawkins Lab..

"This way, Dr. Brenner. ", said a researcher as he led a white haired person to the site where everything in the story would start with. "This is where it appeared?", asked Brenner. The researcher replied with a yes sir. "And the girl?", asked Brenner thinking about the one that was his favourite during the recent time, the one with lot of potential.

"She can't have gone far. ", replied the researcher.

Mike and his gang walked to Mr. Clarke and asked, "So, Did it come?" I could see the nervousness on their face when they asked this. Mr. Clarke showed a sad expression and said, "I am sorry to be the bearer of the sad news, but.. It did come. " The sad expression on the face of everyone, immediately turned into one that of excitement. I simply smiled when I saw their excitement.

Mr. Clarke introduced, "The Heathkit Ham shack. " Then they guessed the distance it could be used to communicate. The boys thought till New York St first, then till California. I had already known what would happen, so I spoke, "It would be longer distance. Probably around Australia or something?" Mr. Clarke looked at me with surprised expression, but then he nodded and looked at the excited face of the children around him.

Mike and the others took turns to introduce themselves and ask questions to whoever might be listening to their words. Dustin even went on asking, whether the Australians eat kangaroos. I couldn't help but chuckle at his question.

That's when few men come to the AV room, where Mike, Lucas, Dustin and Clarke were with me. They looked at Clarke and said, "Can we borrow Dustin, Mike, Lucas and Joey?"

Those people take us to the Principal's office, where Hopper sat. I recognised him in an instant. I nodded to him, and so did he. Then he went full serious on questioning us. That's when the others like a fool started about Mirkwood, Hobit, and Lord of Rings. Then it was me, who told, "Mirkwood is a real place. It's just the name that's made up. The place do exist. It's where Cornwallis and Kerley meet. "

The boys even offered to help Hopper look for Will, but Hopper strictly said not to. And even said not to go out looking for Will. I understood why he did that. It was probably because we would be in danger, if we do that.

Flashback

Joycw remembered that one day when she had been off work early, she had went to Castle Byers to talk to her son, Will. Will always wanted to see the Poltergeist, but Joyce couldn't do that. But that day she did show him the Poltergeist. She remembered how Will had asked her for a password. She did found it funny, but she played along with Will.

She remembered the excitement Will had when she told him about the Poltergeist.

Back to present

Joyce pulled the curtains away, hoping to see Will. But she didn't find him inside.

Meanwhile Eleven the female lead was with Benny, the first adult who didn't want to hurt her. Benny introduced himself and so did Eleven. Then from their talks, Benny understood a few things, about her life.

At the same time, there were people out at the forest searching for Will. They called out to him, by shouting his name. But there was no response. That's when Hopper heard someone among the volunteers calling him. It was Will's bike. Hopper thought and said, "He would have taken back his bike with him to home, if it was some simple crash. "

Meanwhile, Joyce was calling her ex-husband, Lonnie. The one to pick her call was Cynthia, Lonnie's girlfriend. She didn't gave the call to Lonnie. This angered Joyce, but she kept her cool, till Cynthia ended the call, while Joyce begged Cynthia to let her talk with Lonnie, since it was about Will, her son.

Under the calm advice of her son, Jonathan, Joyce called again. But this time, it went straight to voicemail. So she dropped a voicemail about Will being missing.

That's when Jonathan called her, "Mom?" "What", she asked. "Cops. ", he replied.

It was Hopper and his colleagues. He told them how he found Will's bike. There was no blood. That's when Hopper said about Will having a key to the house. Joyce was a little angry when she heard this. She did check her house, when Will was missing. Hopper calmed Joyce down and looked around. That's when he saw Joyce's dog barking, looking at the shed. Joyce said that it was probably because he was hungry. But Hopper thought of going on with his instinct, and he did just that.

Entering the shed, he found a rifle that was loaded, and ammo lying as if someone was using them in a hurry.

Hopper then says to his friend who has worked him for some time, "Call Flo. We need to arrange a search party. All volunteers she can muster. And bring flashlights too. " "You think we got a problem, Chief?", he asked back.

Meanwhile, at Mike's place.

"We should be out there looking for him. ", said Mike. I couldn't help but look at Karen. Karen immediately said, "No. " After some more talks Karen decided to keep them at house arrest. Unlike the original story, Nancy had no reasons to meet Barb at night. Since she wasn't in relation with Steve.

But one word lead to another and Mike did say that she was proposed by Steve Harrington. This angered her. Even I was angry myself. So I shouted at Mike for the first time. I sighed, when Mike rushed to the basement. I decided to go talk to him. "Mike. ", Karen called. But Ted said, "Let him go. " This angered Karen. She said, "I hope you are enjoying your chicken, Ted. " So, at last no one had their dinner, except obviously Ted.
