Road Trip
A month has passed since the attack on Beacon and the reconstructions of everything are going along nicely. Most of the major damage has been repaired but there's still a lot left to clean up.
I am currently having a nice cup of coffee while sitting on a bench with Glynda next to me with her own cup. We're just enjoying the view of our work, a nice and beautiful park with children playing enjoying their blissful ignorance and people just having a good time momentarily forgetting what happened and enjoying their time.
"It was a tedious month but it was worth it huh." Glynda says with a content sigh.
"Indeed it was Glynda. Hey I see an ice cream stand there, want me to go buy us some ice cream? I know you have a sweet tooth." I ask her.
She smiles, "Yeah sure, I'm fine with any flavor." She says.
"Alright, neopolitan it is then." I say getting up and walking over to the same person I buy ice cream from every time.
"Oh hello again, do you want the usual?" He asks with a kind smile after seeing me.
"Yes please, and this time I actually have someone else to share it with." I say and he gives me an interested look.
"Oh wow really? I thought that all those times you had someone with you." He says giving me the tub of the ever so delicious ice cream.
"Nope, well as always thanks. I'll see you around." I say after paying him.
As I'm leaving my scroll vibrates so I decide to check on it. I open it to see an unknown number text me.
[random phone number]: Password: Cinder is a bitch and deserves to be tortured in the deepest darkest pits of hell for all eternity
[Me]: Alright, who is this
[random phone number]: It's Roman, Ruby told me to make that the first thing I send if I want you to believe that I am who I say I am
[Me]: Alright Roman, now why did you contact me?
[random phone number]: Right, straight to the point. So basically me, Ruby, Neo and some other brats from beacon are going to Mistral. And I remember that back while I was still working with Cinder, I 'overheard' that she'll attack Haven academy after the attack on Beacon regardless if it was a failure or not. And they're going to steal a relic or something along those lines. And right now Ruby is trying to stop the damn thing but she really just wants to kill Cinder, or at least try to. But I have a bad feeling and I think that we need backup whether Ruby wants to admit that or not.
[Me]: So that's why you're texting me. How long until you arrive in Mistral?
[random phone number]: We'll arrive some time tomorrow, I'll message you the place where we're staying when we get there
[Me]: Alright, I'll see you there
[random phone number]: Ok, I'll send you a bullhead
[Me]: There's no need to get potentially caught, I have my own ways to get there
[random phone number]: Alright, how long will it take you to get here?
[Me]: Probably a few days
[random phone number]: Alright, I can live with that
I put my scroll away and I walk back to Glynda.
"What took you so long?" She asks.
I take a seat next to her, "Well, Blake somehow got my number and messaged me that they are on a trip to Mistral. And she has a bad feeling that there's going to be an attack there and that they might need backup." I say.
"And are you going there based off of a feeling?" She asks.
"Well it'll be quick, I'll just check there and see if there really is an attack or not. If there isn't then I'm just going to go back. I don't want to miss some precious time with you, so I'll be gone for a week maybe two weeks maximum." I say.
"Alright, but you better keep your word. But how are you even going to get to Mistral in the first place? The kingdom borders are closed because of what happened to Beacon that day." She asks.
"Well I have my own ways so don't worry about it. I think I'm going to go now, the sooner I get there the faster I can see if there is an attack and the sooner I can get back to you so," I give her a nice kiss, "I'll see you again later." I say before leaving a slightly blushing Glynda.
'So how long will it take you if you run all the way there at full speed without breaks?' I ask Ker as I make my way to the forest.
'I roughly know the distance from here to Mistral and based on my current speed I think it will take about 3 days to get there.' He says.
'Alright well lets get to it.' I say before walking at a faster pace.
I exit the borders of Vale and once I'm far enough Ker comes out of my shadow. I get on him and that marks the beginning of a 3 day journey.

The trip did actually take around 3 days like Ker had predicted. And there weren't any major disturbances either, only small ones. Well small at least for me and Ker that is. Ker says we're near the entrance to Mistral so I get off him and he re-enters my shadow.
I start walking there at a decently fast pace and after 10 minutes found the entrance to the kingdom. I show some guards my hunter license courtesy of Ozpin and they let me right in. After a dark and long hallway I open some doors and on the other side I see a beautiful view of scenery and people.
There are buildings on top of mountains without any wasted space and luscious green flora covering the land anywhere I look. And the people all look so carefree without an ounce of worry on their faces.
After I take in the view I look at the address Roman gave me in the middle of my trip. I asked a guard that's nearby for directions and then I start the hike up the plethora of stairs. After climbing up the seemingly endless amount of stairs I make it up to see some houses scattered around the place with some markets and other things put in between.
I walk over to one of the houses with the number 48 on the front of it. I check my scroll to make sure that this is the one and I knock on the door. No one answers and I start to doubt that this is the right one. But that doubt went away as soon as it came when I hear Ruby's voice on the other side.
"Coming!" She shouts.
The door unlocks and it opens to reveal Ruby but with quite a different outfit and Physique as well. First of all, she is notably a few inches taller, she's wearing a sleeveless black sweater, a red mini skirt with thigh high stockings, the same red cape except shorter, finger less gloves with red straps on her wrist, and red and black colored combat boots. She has also gained some muscles with some scars are visible on her arms and also has a different hairstyle.
"Professor Dominus? What are you doing here?" She asks confused.
"Just Dominus, we're not in Beacon. And your boyfriend called me over for backup." I say.
Ruby looks back inside to who I assume is Roman before looking at me for a moment and letting me in. Inside I'm greeted with the smell of something nice cooking and team JNPR along with Weiss sitting on the couch with Neo and Roman sitting on another one across them.
"Ah Dominus, I'm Glad you could make it in time." Roman says.
"No problem, and would you mind explain what happened to Ruby?" I ask.
"Well take a seat, it's a long story." He says.
(Small timeskip)
"And that's basically it. Also ice queen here even got a nose bleed the first time she saw Ruby again." Roman says ending the story.
"Shut up!" Weiss shouts with a blush on her face which causes the rest of the kids to laugh.
"Right, and how were their reactions to your relationship with Ruby?" I ask Roman.
"Not a great experience at all, they all tried to kill me but Ruby managed to hold them off. And now they at least trust me not to kill them in their sleep or betray them. Well I hope they do anyway." He says.
Suddenly the door bursts open and a drunken Qrow walks through saying, "I found him!" repeatedly with a drunk grin on his face.
Ruby groans and knocks her uncle out before setting him down on one of the couches. Then another boy comes in after Qrow. He has tanned skin, brown hair and hazel eyes. He's wearing a dirty and scuffed white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Orange suspenders holding up his olive pants, which are tucked into some brown boots. The pants are patched over the knee, and he wears orange gloves, with green straps overlapping across the back of the hand in an X shape, and around his wrist.
"Uhh... hello there." He says nervously with the looks he's getting.
"Who are you?" Ruby asks.
"It's uhh complicated.. but in a way, I believe you would know me as professor Ozpin?" He says unsure of what he himself is saying.
"Huh? You're telling me that you're Ozpin and expect me to believe it just like that?" Ruby asks
"Y-yeah, like I said.. it's a long story." He says.
"Well come on in, we have nothing but time." Roman says.
Ruby lets him in and Oscar starts with the explanation about Ozpin's reincarnation powers and everything.
