Meeting The Grimm Queen

(Kratos pov)

As the students leave, Glynda sighs and sits down quickly loosing that serious demeanor of hers.

"It's tiring always being that serious isn't it?" I ask sitting next to her which she doesn't mind.

"*sigh* Yes it is, it's been stressful these few days and the paperwork for the first years on top of that doesn't help a bit." She says putting her face in her hands.

"Then take a break, everyone needs a break at some point." I say rubbing her back.

"*sigh* True, I'll take you up on that offer then. We'll leave at Saturday at 10. You better not be late." She says.

"Don't worry Glynda, I wouldn't dare make a beautiful woman such as yourself wait for me" I say.

I feel her flinch for a second but she relaxes quickly.

"Idiot... but thanks, no one has ever called me that before." She says.

"Well with that attitude of yours of course no one's going to even try. But that doesn't matter to me, I like you for who you are." I say.

She doesn't respond as I feel the weight on my shoulder increase. I look to my side seeing that Glynda has fallen asleep. I smile, even with her hair being slightly messy she's still as beautiful as ever. I get my scroll out careful not to wake her and ask Ozpin what's her room number.

He didn't bother to ask why, he just said that it was room 300. I slowly lifted Glynda up in a princess carry and walk out of the class careful not to wake her up. There aren't that many students since most of them are in class. The ones that do see me give me looks of surprise and gets out of my way.

On the way to Glynda's room I meet Ruby and her team that's probably late for calss since they're still out. They see me and Ruby squeals but I tell her to be quiet and not wake Glynda up.

"You and Glynda are together now!?" Ruby asks shocked.

"Maybe we are maybe we aren't who knows." I say.

"Well I didn't see this coming, this is the most surprising thing that has happened so far and it's only been a few days since the initiation as well." Weiss says.

"Yeah I agree with ice queen here, I did not see this coming" Yang says and Blake just nods.

"Im sure you didn't, now would you please let me pass, and don't you also have classes yourselves?" I ask.

A look of realization appeared on all their faces before they ran quickly while saying goodbye to me. And after even after all that noise Glynda is still sleeping soundly, looks like she's a heavy sleeper.

I continue walking and finally reach those double metal doors. I gotta ask what this thing is called, it'd be weird if I ask someone 'hey where's the double metal doors?'. I get in and press floor twelve and after a little waiting I arrive.

I walk in the direction of my room since I remember passing the room number 300 when Glynda was leading me to my room for the first time. I arrived at it and felt Glynda's scroll in her pocket, I take it out and swipe it in front of the door handle and enter.

I see that Glynda's room isn't that different to mine it has the same everything except it has clothes and some extra furniture. I lay Glynda down gently after taking her heels off and put the blanket over her before leaving her scroll on the desk and leaving the room.

I need to get some clothes for tomorrow, if I go out with what I'm currently wearing, then it'll just ruin the mood. So I text Ozpin.

Kratos: Hey Ozpin any way I can get to the city quickly, I need to get some clothes and stuff for tomorrow.

Ozpin: I don't know what you're planning tomorrow but I won't ask. I'll call in a bullhead, just go to the courtyard and take a left. There will be a large clear area, your bullhead will be waiting there.

Kratos: What's a bullhead?

Ozpin: It's basically a giant aircraft with 2 big thrusters on its sides, you'll know it when you see it. And I've also sent you lien through your scroll. Just swipe it on the scanner later when the cashier asks you to.

Kratos: Alright, thanks Ozpin

And after that last message I close it and go to the courtyard. After about 10 minutes of walking, I get outside and to my left I already see the bullhead waiting for me. I walk over to it and enter through the back and the pilot notices me.

"Dominus going to vale?" He asks, I nod.

He says ok before closing the doors and lifting off the ground before going to Vale. I could see the large forest I did my initiation in. And from the looks of it, Beacon is located quite far away from the city.

(Small timeskip)

I arrive and the pilot days that he will wait for me, it's almost sunset so I should not take long. I go around looking for whatever seems to be a clothing store. And after a few minutes of searching I find one decently sized store named 'Plain Casual'. I enter it and the staff greets me before I walk in further into the store.

After some time I decide to get a black long sleeved shirt and long dark grey sweatpants and also a few other pairs of shirts and pants. I pay for them and when I exit it's already dark outside with the only light sources being the light posts and... the shattered moon which I have just now noticed.

That is strange, I'm going to have to ask Ozpin about that later. As I'm walking I hear something about ice cream. I've never heard of that before so I go to check it out. Once I'm in front of the man he greets me.

"Hello sir would you like to get some ice cream? It's only 100 lien for a medium sized tub." He says.

"Sure, whats the best selling one then?" I ask.

"Oh that would be the neopolitan ice cream, it's a layered ice cream with it being strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla." He explains.

"I'll take that then" I say.

"Certainly, and you're lucky, this is the last one too." He says.

"Thanks." I say as he hands me the tub of ice cream with a spoon and I swipe my scroll above the scanner before turning around.

But as I take a step I bump into something, I look down to see a girl with mismatched hair and eyes. One side is pink with some white streaks while the other half is brown, same with her eyes, one is pink and the other brown.

"Sorry, but can I help you?" I ask.

She doesn't say anything and only points to the tub of ice cream with a pouting face.

"Hm, what about the ice cream?" I ask.

'I want it' She signed, oh so she's a mute.

"Yeah no sorry, you're just going to have to buy it tomorrow when there's more" I say before walking past her.

After walking a few feet I can hear light footsteps that have almost no sound running at me. When it gets close I quickly sidestep and trip the girl.

"You know taking it by force won't work little lady." I say.

She gets angry but just stomps off deeming it not worth the trouble to start a fight over ice cream in public. I head back to the bullhead and we take off and go. On the way I open the tub and take a scoop of all the flavors and they're quite good. The pink one is sweet, the brown one is bitter but a little sweet which tastes great, and the white one I don't know how to describe its taste but it's good.

(Small Timeskip)

I finished the ice cream on the way and every scoop tasted great. We arrive and I thank the pilot before exiting the bullhead and start to walk to my room. I met some teachers who were just finishing up on things and just greeted as we passed by each other.

I enter my room to see the boy sleeping, I put down all the things before getting into bed and close my eyes before letting sleep take over me.

I open my eyes to see that I'm in a black void, the same one I was in when I died before being brought back to life. I look around and as expected there was nothing. But suddenly I hear footsteps, I turn to its origins and find a woman with deathly pale skin and black veins running through her arms and the sides of her face.

"Hello.. Kratos." She says.

"Salem I assume?" I ask.

"Indeed, I'm going to assume the grimm you took from me told you that?" She asks.

"And how would you even know that, he said he cut his connection to you." I say.

"Oh he did but more like he tried, I still had a small connection to him before you happened." She says.

"And what are you doing in my head?" I ask.

"Oh nothing, only to see the man who took a grimm away from me. You see, I have a connection with all grimm and whenever they get killed I can feel it in a way but what you did was different. It felt like it was being pulled away, out of my grasp even. And I just HAD to see who it was." She says.

"Well now that you've seen me, you can go now, shoo." I say gesturing her to go away.

"Haha! it's been such a long time since someone ever said something like that to me. I expected you to be much more hostile though, with me being the queen of grimm and all." She says.

"Well there's no use in being hostile now is there, this is just my mind after all." I say.

"True, now that I've seen you, you're more interesting than I expected. So I have an offer for you Kratos, join my side and help me win this war and I will give you ultimate power." She offers.

"Ha! Woman, I've killed gods with my bare hands, there's nothing you can give me that'll make me join you." I say.

"Are you sure nothing? You can have my body and use me to do whatever your heart desires." She says in a seductive tone.

"Tempting, not going to bother lying on that, but I already have someone in mind to do that with so I'm going to have to turn down your offer." I say.

"I'm surprised, I'd expect that to work on most men." She says.

"Well I'm not like 'most men', I'm much more than that." I say.

"Well I don't plan on leaving soon so why don't we just talk?" She asks.

Well one would expect me to decline her offer but I don't really have anything better to do and I'm not really on anybodies side, so I might as well. I think of sofas materializing and it worked, sofas appeared behind me and her.

"Sure why not, I got nothing else better to do, and I'm assuming you don't either considering you're here talking to me. And I don't particularly care that you're the queen of grimm and all that, since your business is with Ozpin." I say sitting down which shocks her.

"Wow, you have surprised me again. I expected that offer to just be turned down instantly." She says as she sits and relaxes on the sofa.

"Well then what do you want to talk about? We got the whole night to do so." I say.

"I don't know actually, I never thought I'd make it this far." She says.

"I'll start it off then, what's it like over at wherever you are." I say.

"Oh you're actually serious about talking, alright then. I'd say pretty boring, nothing really ever happens. And I'm surrounded by mostly idiots, one is obsessed with serving me, and I don't mind loyalty but his level is just too much. As much as I'd happily feed him to the grimm he has his uses so I bare with it. Another one is a smartass and just a general asshole, nothing else to say about him. And the rest can be mentioned another time." She says.

"Huh sounds rough" I say.

"It is, now about you saying you've killed gods. Mind elaborating?" She asks.

"That story is too long to be told, but apparently a legend was made about me so that should help you know how and why I did that." I say.

"So you really are the ghost of sparta, I knew I felt that you were different, I just couldn't tell exactly what." She says.

(Timeskip)

So me and Salem talked throughout the night and under that mask of hers, she's actually quite a nice person to talk to.

"Well it's been nice talking to you." I say.

"It has, I needed someone to just have a casual conversation without them fearing me or respecting me to no end. So for that I thank you," She says.

"No problem, well goodbye now. I can feel myself waking up." I say and she just nods.
