Why is Orochimaru here?

Why? I can't see why he would follow them. For Naruto? Orochimaru is not a fool. He knows Akatsuki would go medieval on his ass if he tries to play with their prey. So why?

Now I had no other choice but to intercept him, so I moved to his path and waited for him to arrive. In no time at all, he was in front of me, but he didn't even stop a second. He was about to kill me with one move to continue his chase.

Unfortunately for him, I had to stop him. Unfortunately for me, I am not strong enough.

I looked at the approaching claw and used the latest technique I mastered from the start. I had no other technique that could hurt Orochimaru.

Fire Chakra left my hand and formed a spinning orb. The orb then shifted into an object thick at the base and thinner at the tip. From afar, it looked like a drill. A spinning, fire blazing drill.

Katon: RasenDrill!

When claw finally arrived, it clashed with the Fire Drill in my hand. An explosion reeled back my feeble body. To my surprise, Orochimaru too was sent back flying. He walked out of the trees and looked at me in disbelief.

"I wanted to kill you right off the bat, but what a surprise." He licked his lower lip. "Interesting technique you have there."

"Thanks, I worked hard for it." Lies. I purchased Elemental Body perk and spent another 50 Perk Points to max Chakra Control Perk.

Now with the perfect! Chakra Control, I could easily change the shape of my attacks. And with Elemental Body, I could infuse any element without effort. So it wasn't hard to create S-Rank Jutsu like Rasenshuriken. Although I was lacking Chakra, I could still technically form them.

RasenDrill, on the other hand, wasn't as destructive as Rasenshuriken. It wasn't weak by any means, but it wasn't as strong.

"It is not an easy technique, I can see that." Orochimaru nodded. "You must be Koushin."

"You know a lot," I asked, trying to stall more.

"I do." He nodded with a smirk. He was wearing his flesh disguise, so it looked disgusting. Not that his real self wasn't, but it looks even more disgusting like this. Oh, by the way, I love Orochimaru. In the whole anime, only he has a real purpose and will to follow it. He wants immortality and chases after it. Killing innocent, experimenting on babies, fuck them. He does what he has to! He is the true villain. No sad past, no bullshit stories. He wants to live forever, master all jutsu in existence, and create even more.

I respect that! But, I can't let him go after my pumpkin and friends, so I am standing against him.

"How about a little spar, and maybe I can give you a little something." He offered.

"Sure, but can you tell me why you are after my team?" I asked, not sure if he would answer.

"Why not?" He stretched his chin as he took the posture of a dashing snake.

"I am after the blonde in your team." He said.

"Why?" I couldn't help but blurt.

"Hehe, that is something above you, so stay out of it." He smirked as he vanished. With it, I felt death on my neck. He was damn too fast for me to even react. But by instinct, I crouched and a claw swipe missed my head.

I high kicked his guts, but he was slippery. His torso moved like a wiggling snake and dodged my unimpressive kick. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't as useless. A Rasengan formed under my foot and exploded outward.

"What!?" He exclaimed as he switched with a log.

"Who says we can't use it with our feet?" I smirked.

"You are truly remarkable." He grinned as he dashed once again. This time I was prepared so I used a Lightning Flicker and moved back. From where I was standing, a clone appeared, covered with Explosive Tags.

"Multiplying Explosive Tags"

The clone used the technique and tens of Explosive Tags multiplied to hundreds.

"Clone Great Explosion Jutsu"

He then sacrificed himself. And in less than a second, a great explosion covered the opening. Orochimaru was dashing at me, so he was just above where I was, too close to my clone.

"Hehehe! WAHAHAHA!" He laughed madly. His figure appeared as smoke dissipated. His figure was now scarred and his face was half melted. Under melted skin, was another pale one, with weird makeup. "You are too good!"

"Does it mean you won't kill me?" I asked.

"I will not of course." He smirked as he opened his mouth wide. From within, a new Orochimaru appeared, this time without disguise.

"Orochimaru!" I exclaimed in 'surprise.' I could feign ignorance but I am known with my knowledge, so it would be worse than not recognizing. After all, the man in front of me is super famous.

"You know me?" He asked with a smile.

"One of the Three Sannin. Traitor of Konoha." I nodded as I explained.

"You know your stuff. But I have to move now, I am on the clock." He said as his neck stretched towards my neck. It was too fast for me to dodge, but I wasn't meaning to. Why would I refuse free power?

"Take my mark, and feel my power. When you are ready, come and find me. I will bestow even more power to you." He smiled as he moved away.

But I was in too much pain to care about him. "We battled and talked for more than half an hour. It should be enough for Naruto and others to arrive at the tower. Although they can't enter without me, it should be enough protection. And from Orochimaru's lackadaisical attitude I can say he is after Naruto against his will. He shouldn't try his hardest."

In the next second, the notification I was expecting appeared in front of me.
