2 Sad Backstory To This Poor Teenager!!

Something happened and my chapters are gone. I only have some screenshots from people who were kind enough to send me them so I am basically remaking 6 chapters today... There might be some stuff I didn't include as it might have not been in the screenshots and I decided to change some things...

As the blinding light enveloped him and Aqua, a wide string of information arrived into his head.

[Yumi Yudai, as your old body was broken, we have to reforge you or rather, make you a new body. You will be starting as a sixteen years old boy again. We hope you succeed in your adventure and please, take care of Aqua-sama! I wish you luck!]

This message entered his head together with the general language of the world and a few other things regarding Aqua.

'That's nice and all... but I would be glad if it also included some kind of general knowledge about the world, as this pathetic goddess didn't tell me anything about it, other than it is a world of magic. Oh well...every MMORPG is the same, I will figure these things out eventually.'

Just as he was about to be thrown into another world, his old memories resurfaced.

'Oh god...Am I remembering them because my memories are getting transferred into another body? How unpleasant...'

Looking closer into his memories, Yumi saw three women, who all made him feel miserable in the past. All of them turned their back to him, making it impossible to see their faces, even if he remembered them so vividly.

How can he forget? They broke him to the point he never wished to enter a relationship ever again.

'Why should I look at these scenes again? What a torture this is...'

The first one was a scene with a young girl and a young man, presumably twelve years of age. The boy confesses his love to her, yet she rejected him by saying,

"Why should I date someone, who only plays games and watches those cartoons all day? Get a life, loser..."

This made him really sad and it was also really awkward for him to attend his school when he saw her every day. She also told her classmates about his confession and they all laughed together.

Yumi's heart started rapidly beating and he clenched his hands in anger,

'One of them down...Two more pathetic memories to go through...'

The second sequence showed the same scenario but with a different girl,

"Ehh?? Dating an Otaku? How gross! Who would want to date someone like this! Even though you look decent, I bet all you do is stay indoors you disgusting smelly nerd."

The boy and the girl were older than in the last scene, they were around thirteen years old.

As he was rejected for the second time, he vowed himself to never ask someone out again.

'Why is watching anime and reading manga disgusting? It's a hobby to me and I can do it outdoors too...Why is having hobbies a bad thing?'

One year has passed in a blink of an eye, and the last scene showed him, getting confessed to by a cute girl, both of them were fourteen years old.

Yumi was delighted about the confession from the girl, so he accepted it immediately without holding back. He gave up playing games, took some part-time jobs and showered her with presents so that she would be happy.

Some time has passed, and Yumi was still doing a part-time job, especially now, that their first anniversary was coming.

'I finally have enough money for her gift, I hope she likes it.'

Yes, they were together for a year and Yumi was satisfied, while they didn't do anything perverted, they kissed once in a while which was more than enough for him. All he wished was to hug and kiss someone, it was enough to make him happy because he didn't want to rush his girlfriend as he was afraid that she would leave him if he forced her.

On the day of their anniversary, he sent her a message, saying that he wanted to meet up to celebrate their special day but she didn't reply, so he went to her house and rang the doorbell.

He bought her flowers, together with a necklace he painstakingly saved up money for.

However, instead of his girlfriend, a weird man opened the door. He was about thirty years old, and just from his clothes, Yumi could tell that he was really rich. He knew it wasn't her father, as they have seen each other many times. So he said,

"Hello, is ****** home? I came to celebrate our anniversary."

The man looked at him with scorn and said,

"Get out of here brat, before I slap the teeth out of your mouth!"

Yumi was shaken as he never interacted with someone this dangerous before.

'I-Is this guy a gangster? What is he doing in their house?! Are those Yakuza tattoos?!'

The gangster was about to hit Yumi but a sweet voice stopped him, "Who is it dear? Oh..."

It was Yumi's girlfriend. Seeing her, Yumi frowned and asked, "What do you mean by...dear? What's going on here?"

Yumi's girlfriend sighed and stepped in front of the gangster,

"Please go inside, I will deal with him."

The gangster grinned and replied, "Sure, sure...I will go inside whenever you want me to!"

He stepped inside the house, leaving the two of them in front of their house.

Yumi was looking at her in disbelief, while she looked at him awkwardly.

"I know it might be sudden, but we are breaking up. We aren't a thing anymore, okay? Go home."

Yumi dropped the flowers he had in his hands and muttered, "Why...I didn't do anything wrong, right?" Halfway in, he started crying, "I tried... to make sure you were feeling nice and comfortable every time we met so that you would be happy with me...and I get this?!" He didn't even have enough strength to shout, as his throat was too dry, so he only painfully whispered.

His girlfriend sighed and replied, "Well... It was nice while it lasted. You brought me a lot of joy in my life, but I can't go on anymore."

"What did I do...wrong?" Yumi helplessly asked, knowing that she truly wasn't willing to continue this relationship.

'There had to be something that I missed...But what was it? I didn't even play games or watch anime that often, just to make sure we stay together...I also got rid of my Jojo posters...'

"The problem? Well... the whole relationship was the problem. I only confessed to you because of a bet, since people in my class were playing truth or dare, I was asked to confess to you. I wanted to break up the next day, but I saw how much you were trying to make sure you satisfy me. You asked questions about what I like, what I hate and I couldn't bring myself to tell you that we should stop."

"The whole thing...Was a lie?"

Before he could even form another question, what she said next literally had his mouth hanging wide open,

"But don't get me wrong. I grew fond of you. Yet it wasn't enough. What I desired the most were money and you and your family were pretty poor, while Kira here, has all the money in the world! I am pretty much swimming in the pool of money!" She lightly chuckled while saying that.

Yumi couldn't believe what was happening. She was always a timid person, who would have thought that she was a gold digger?

He breathed heavily and said, "D-Do you mean to say you're dumping me because I am poor? Is that it? Such a stupid reason? Money can be made! I-I-I worked really hard... to make sure you get your anniversary gift on time...yet you were faking our relationship... all this time."

His now, ex-girlfriend shook her head and replied, "No, don't put words into my mouth, it wasn't like that. As I said, I did enjoy the time with you bu-" She couldn't finish her sentence before Yumi ran towards her and repeatedly hit her face with the anniversary gift in his hands.

"You bitch!"

The people next to their house were staring. But he didn't mind, as there were always witnesses to his misery.

'There are always people, who like to laugh at my suffering, well... at least now I won't be the only person suffering!'

"N-NO...please...stop it...It hurts!" his ex-girlfriend screamed on the ground, her nose was broken and her face was a mess, yet he didn't care.

Hearing the commotion, her new gangster boyfriend ran out of the house and saw his girlfriend on the ground, bleeding.

"What the hell are you doing you bastard!"

He went forward, tackled Yumi on the ground and repeatedly hit him until he lost consciousness.

Once he woke up, he found himself in his room. He was beaten up to a pulp. His parents called the police and the gangster was caught and put into prison for twelve years. The father of his ex-girlfriend was really angry about what Yumi did to his daughter, but once he learned the truth about what happened, he beat up his daughter himself. Afterward, he apologized to Yumi and even offered money as compensation.

Yumi knew that their family wasn't rich and he didn't want to put their family into a worse situation so he rejected the gift. It was evident that his ex-girlfriend was dissatisfied with their family situation and the moment she found out that Yumi was poor as well, she couldn't handle it.

'Why is money so important? Is it something impossible to attain? No. Then why are people so fixated on money?'

Luckily, everything was resolved, so no one other than the gangster had to go to the prison but still, Yumi was scarred after the incident. He changed schools and completely immersed himself into games, manga, and anime.

'Third times a charm, huh...I believed in that... I really did...Never again. No more girls. They are a plague. I won't enter a relationship ever again!'

A year later, his parents said that they found a candidate for an arranged marriage but he just simply said,

"I can't... I apologize if you are disappointed, but I cannot be betrayed anymore."

His parents were stunned but understood his situation.

In reality, he enjoyed watching porn and hentai, but getting betrothed to a girl? No way...

'Real girls are truly disgusting. Those girls behind the screen are much more pleasant.'

After the last sequence was over, Yumi finally opened his eyes as he went through all of his scarring memories. He looked around and found himself in a forest.

*Sniff* *Sniff*

He looked to his left and found the goddess Aqua, with her head in her arms, crying.

"It wasn't supposed to be like this...I am not an item.*Sniff* You can't just bring me in here, I *Sniff* don't know what to do."

Seeing that Aqua didn't stop crying, Yumi looked around but trees were the only thing he could find.

"Come on, get up, who knows what time it is at the moment, we are somewhere in a forest and it's dangerous to be around these parts at night. We also need to find quests and get weapons or else we can't level up. At least that's how it works in RPGs."

But Aqua didn't even budge. Looking over at her, Yumi decided to leave.
