Chapter 52 Disappearance
(Time goes back to a day after the battle outside tanzaku town)
Iwagakure.
Iwa Council.
Lead by Onoki who sat at the front seat, the meeting was currently at full swing, expressions of anger and disbelief on every face.
"Who would have thought this would happen?"
Said Onoki in a state of shock and disbelief, even after a day speechless at the development.
Roshi, who had better control on the tailed beast than han and was the strongest in the village after him, is currently in coma.
"According to the intelligence Roshi-Sama fought the chief of Uchiha, Jiraiya and a shinobi who excels in water style."
"For more accurate details we'll need to wait for Roshi-Sama to wake up and explain himself."
Told a member of the council the details they have gathered up till now, his face grim.
"You're telling me Roshi couldn't handle a student of hokage, a weak uchiha and a nobody, when did someone who could control a tailed beast's power became that easy to beat?"
Asked Onoki with a face full of confusion, even he had to work somewhat to deal with Roshi if they fought.
Yet he was pushed to the brink of death by three elite jonin at most.
Jiraiya, through the intelligence it was easy to understand that he didn't possess enough strength to deal with a kage rank shinobi, the leader of uchiha clan, Fukashi, it didn't need much thinking for Onoki to figure out his strength.
Aside from that one man, the ghost of uchiha, Onoki never took the strength of an uchiha possessing a three tomoe sharingan seriously.
"Depending on the intelligence, I think it's safe to assume that the variable in this fight was that water release shinobi because Jiraiya and chief uchiha clearly don't possess enough strength to trouble Roshi-Sama"
"Unless they had a huge increase in strength and our intelligence is outdated"
"Um!"
Responded a council member after giving the situation a little thought, the other members of council all nodding and agreeing with him, clearly his guess was the closest to truth.
"I see…then order the intelligence forces to quickly dig out every bit of information related to this shinobi, we can't be in the dark about a possible strong enemy for long"
"Yes, Tsuchikage-Sama!"
Gave Onoki his orders, the council members immediately writing them down, to act on them after the meeting.
The meeting though didn't end after onoki's orders, as a lot to be discussed on who will take roshi's position was left.
"Now that Roshi won't be able to lead our army stationed near tanzaku bridge, we need to balance the power gap there"
"Order Han to head there as soon as possible and to prevent a situation similar to roshi's happening, I'll make a surprise appearance during the battle"
"It's time for Konoha to suffer a little in this war"
Said Onoki with a chill in his eyes, with him appearing at the battle suddenly he could already see the konoha army getting annihilated, whether it was Jiraiya, chief uchiha or this shinobi who suddenly appeared, no will be able to escape.

There was nothing more to discuss so Onoki ended the meeting officially but before anyone could even leave their seats, the door of council room was knocked with some urgency.
"Enter!"
With a curious face Onoki gave the orders to enter as an iwa jonin with an anxious face entered the room.
"It's not good Lord Tsuchikage! Our lookouts have reported that kumo forces are marching towards us and are already near the border of land of waterfall!"
"What!"
The jonin without wasting a second stated the reason behind his sudden appearance at the council room, Onoki and the rest at the news standing from seats with shocked faces.

In the meeting room,
In the room four people were present, sitting on tatami with a cup of green tea placed before them.
"Any news from iwa camp?"
Asked the man with white hair, having a pale look on his face, his forehead, arms and legs were wrapped in bandages as well.
"It's quite tightly guarded at the moment so it's not that easy to find out what they are up to, but one thing is for sure, the jinchuriki after the fight with you three is surely not in a good state, otherwise they would have attacked again by now"
Responded the man to Jiraiya, with a pony tail and a nara clan crest on the back of his attire.
"Um!"
Fukashi and Kazuki both agreed with the words of nara shinobi, as what he said was most likely the case.
"True"

Jiraiya also agreed with the words of Nara Shinobi but a changed occurred in the meeting room at this moment, Jiraiya suddenly bursting into white smoke and disappearing.
"What!!"
The three in the room were alarmed immediately at his disappearance, standing and looking around warily but founding no danger.
"If I'm not wrong, Jiraiya san was reverse summoned by his ninja summon"
Seeing no sign of an enemy near, it didn't take long for kazuki to come up with a guess why Jiraiya disappeared suddenly as he told Fukashi and the nara shinobi immediately, with his knowledge of the cannon it wasn't that difficult to guess.
